I just bought one. After carrying around my RGB 30 along with my phone, keys, and wallet for almost a year. All I want now is a pocketable handheld.
Its perfect for that, and surprisingly powerful! I hope you like it as much as I do! Sad I have to give it back! I may purchase another… or the SP version.
This one finally dethroned my favorite "truly pocketable" console, the RG280M. I
Oh! that’s one I don’t have :/
thank you. mine is arriving today. stoked
Enjoy it! I have to give the one I have back to my friend but I’m probably going to grab my own. What color did you get?
Neat little thing, but i would prefer the SP version with bigger screen and buttons.
I’m doomed to buy that! lol it’s sweet looking.
Wow great review Retro Zoltan this looks like a real winner even with its smallish size.
It’s a little firecracker!
RG stands for Retro Game.
First 2 digits are screen size in inches without the decimal point as you said.
Third digit is the chipset, or in this case the "XX"
Sometimes there is another letter/s at the end: V (vertical), H (horizontal), M (metal), P (plastic), S (single boot OS), D (dual boot OS).
They don't follow this convention perfectly, but it can be helpful for understanding the names.
Funny, I knew about the RG all along but everything else was … curious. I also had NO idea about what the XX meant … and I ended up calling it the 35XX series … well, I almost got a win … maybe a half a point. Thanks for explaining it, makes perfect sense!
first!! omg we love you zoltan!
Oh man thank you that’s so kind!
Wow. Either your hands are big. Or that thing is small. Or both
Lol both! I really have to try better at holding these things next to normal sized objects.
Analogue sticks are not portable. They stick out.
