Yeah, the Kaiserschlacht was Germany’s last gamble to win the war before American troops arrived in earnest. They failed to capture Amiens, a major rail hub. They failed to win the second battle of the Marne. There best hope was to hold the Hindenburg line in the American Meuse-Argon offensive. Once the line was broken, it was all over for the Kaiserreich.
