I love Doug’s energy! You can see his excitement and passion for his craft. I’d hire him in a heartbeat. Love the content brother 👍🏼
Absolutely. Seems like a great guy.
Love how stoked he was. Rad to see someone just be hyped on what they do!
This is quickly pushing me towards getting into having a Steadicam. I'm not necessarily doing cinema stuff, but this would be a godsend when working long events with even an FX3 on a gimbal for hours on end. The energy from Doug was great, and I appreciate how mellow the entire video was.
Doug seemed energized not only by his love for cinematic creation but to work with you as well, God's speed and make that magic fellas.
Love following your journey and career! Thank you for bringing so much inspiration and information for the filmmaking community! All the best! Cheering for you from Finland🙌
Thank you!
Love watching pros test, collab, push each other for the better
When I read the title, I tapped in immediately. I can’t wait to see you put this on a steady cam.
Awesome video Carlo. I worked with Doug on a small job in Philly and he’s an absolute beast.
Love flying the venice on my steadicam. Although it's incredibly heavy it helps a lot with the inertia. Great video, look forward to seeing more.
loving your work, so inspiring, thank you for your content
You are so welcome!
You easily became my fav DP on RUclips. Excellent content bro.
your taste in cars is incredible hahaha. Great outlook on crewing and great work Doug!!
Love your work and the journey you're going through right now, can't wait for the future video where you get your Porsche! :)
Thank you!
Awesome work! Geek and inspirational at the same time. 😁
Love from Azores.
Awesome! Impressive rig, impressive operator!
One of the most important videos you can ever watch, if you ever get to that level :D
So many tips that would take you months to learn on your own
I've been following you since picking up my first Camera back in August. Your videos are both educational but also therapeutic lol!
Awesome! Thank you! Means alot
Love the rig. Living in Cornwall there are no courses so having to learn myself was much harder but once you know your rig it gets easier.
Doug is tuff 🔥🔥🎶
Yes he is
A great vid! Thanks for sharing your experience. The dude is super chill tho
Agreed!
Awesome video.
I have a poor man's version of this with the FX6 and a cheaper Steadycam rig with the RS2 on top.
I work a lot more in post though and I've had the pleasure to edit Venice footage. That camera looks so incredible, it's crazy. We just got nominated for an award for a music video that was shot on a Venice actually :)
I've always bee curious about Steadicams so really cool to get some education on it!
Love watching your video at the gym bro!
Thanks!
Great stuff man
Good BTS. Good stuff.
This dudes energy is awesome. haha
Thank you for sharing this wealth of information!
Seeing the camera upside down and close to the ground makes my hearth race 😂
Good boys - good toys! )
He was a trooper!!
Indeed!
Damn this guys skilled as fuck! Bro your videos have inspired me so much! Sometimes i feel like I’m stagnant in film making but watching your channel gets me hyped to get out there
He moves that setup like it's nothing! Very impressive
such a good video
I love your work. I’m using ursa G2 and need a steadicam . Any advice ?
Hey Gian Carlo, how do you like Hollyland 4k transmission (is that yours or Doug's) ? did you make any vid about the transmitter? I'm thinking about getting something for my komodo while on the gimbal - something in the 30-60 latency, I want it small and reliable; nothing super fancy.
Awesome
heavy asmr vibez
Hahaha
What was the beat you were using When you were showing the footage?
great for a music video
Wow… this guy is a ninja 🥷!!!
Indeed
How are the Tokina primes btw? I consider it for an FX9, maybe I'll rent it one day. Seems like a good "cheaper" alternative to Zeiss supreme or the like
lovely
Thanks!
我喜欢道格,他做得很不错呀。非常热情
Don't you have too much latency with Mars 4K to pull focus ? Been impossible for me to work with it
That guy is doing a fantastic job, loved it! There is one thing, though. I was worried to see him trip over due to his extreme "duck-feet" walking. It`s also a condition which may, especially due to the nature of Steadicam operating, could cause serious issues in the longer run. I would really look into that if I was him.
Great video! Next session with the volt turned off :P
We gonna need that 911 video a lot sooner than later 😊
Nice Perfect Thank you
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
I'm using the Steadicam RS... It's hard... Thanks for the video!
How do you keep in focus?
A Porsche guy, man of tastes!
That’s what I’m saying
Great
I’m happy you and Doug met
He’s great!
Heyyyy its Doug! We miss you here in China buddy! haha
Miss you too guys! Thanks for giving me a start in this 🫡🙆🏻♂️
I'm going to ask Doug where he bought those pants. They seem perfect for crew on set. haha.
Siii
I have a playlist here on youtube called " My fav Making offs" and I guess I should change the name of it to "Gian Carlo Videos"
Idk much about the camera but is someone pulling focus? how is it stay focused on the first push in shot?
No one's pulling focus. The depth of field is pretty deep
I want you to know that I'm subscribing to see Venice content
We need an export flow from yoh Gian!
GO BIRDS
first!
Very Impressive : Obviously The More Hours he had with it : The footage would be even better…. Some Very expensive equipment Hanging off Someone…. But I really enjoyed the behind the Scenes Footage… Thanks for sharing…😊
Sensor is 17:9 but shooting 4:3
Next project’s requirements!!!!
Hi Doug
Hi scoot
Never got why people compared ibis and digital stabilization to "steadicams", now I see what they meant, but that rig is way smoother still
If you really wanted to test Doug, chuck an 85mm on and get him to run circles around you 😉 18mm is the cheat lens on steadicam!
This ☝🏻
An 85 mm is much more forgiving, less horizon in the frame to get out of level, plus the size of the person in frame relative to the center is far less noticeable. In other words, filling the frame with a head leaves less space on either side to move left to right and become distracting. Doug did a great job. Wide lenses on a Steadicam are not easy at all. Just saying.
Is the A-roll of this video shot on an iPhone or phone? The bokeh looks like iPhone bokeh.
im doing pretty well, thanks for asking
Good!
A 911 makes everything a lil better 😂
That’s right
thats a lot of money on your shoulders
are u italian or am i tweakin’
OK, but Ronin 4D 8K much better , really . Try it .
he clearly has nothing to do with sound department but good stuff tho 👍
What a fucking proximity effect. Plis take 2 inches away from the mic. In my headphones it was almost imposible to listen :(
:(
@@carlostigs BTW I'm really inspired by you. From Ecuador we send you the best vibes for your trip
