Quansheng UV-K5 contact into Spain very strong signals.

Chatting to 30AT105 all the way in Spain this morning. Very strong signals and lovely audio from his station.
1. NO this modified radio doesn't emit unwanted harmonics.
2. Don't use this radio for TX on 27Mhz straight out of the box. See download link for mod.
TX power 4 watts into a Sirio Boomerang antenna.

Incredible Duane !! I thought this was the last model of iphone with the speaker on and you were making a telephone call ! Even more interesting than the Albrecht for a sota activation considering the weight ! Does it work with the same kind of telescopic antenna ? All the best my friend from René in France

Thanks René, you can still use the telescopic antenna but you will require the SMA to BNC adaptor. For portable use this radio is perfect and I'm using it more than the Albrecht now. 73's
