Dude, I love your new back ground or whatever it is you got going there LoL! Is that a green screen? It’s really different. I got to hand it to you for going out and trying some different combinations of stuff on your comp crawler, and experimenting and stuff. I’ve seen these aftermarket over drive set ups work for a bunch of different crawlers, but the ones I saw were crawler build kits. I’m not much of a fabricator so doing stuff like this;(making stuff fit and work is a bit out of my comfort zone. I don’t have proper tools do that stuff. I’ll enjoy watching you do it from the sidelines though and will be cheering you on dude! Really appreciate the shout out too brother, you really didn’t have to. So thank you my friend! Yes it a new plane a very easy to set up. I think you’ll like it. For such little planes these war birds fly with authority! Hope you have fun. Hope you find something that fits well for your RGT. That thing is awesome!
Well BFYB thank you so much for the support throughout my time here! I appreciate you sending the plane and helping the channel. We are currently adding links to your Channel lol. Forgot to add it. Thanks again and it will be used for something or another lol.
I'm pretty sure that new transmission can be rebuit so that the motor can sit on the left or right. That would fix your drive shaft issue. Straight links might give you more clearance at the end of the motor. Looks like you might have a 550 can, a 540 would give more room
I had to do a quick Google search after clicking the link on the transmission.... It's not a design flaw if you're trying to use the transmission for a front axle it wasn't designed for. It says in the listing it's designed for scx10 II builds. All the aftermarket scx10 II axles I can find have a center pumpkin, not offset like yours has. Also, I have the fusion pro in my scx10 III. It's got plenty of speed on the stock trans and 11 tooth pinion with amazing low speed control. When I heard you say you aren't getting enough wheel speed out of anything lower than a 21 tooth on 28% front OD my brain cried in unhappy motor noises. Good luck man, hope you find a build for that transmission.
Well thanks for the info man, you knownit goes plenty fast enough but but not enough giddy up lol. I was doing team comps and the other guys were blowing me off the course ha ha. Also I did mention it was meant for a scx10ll and a speed body, and your right Def not a setup for an axle setup like I've got. Thanks for the info man, Def needed🙏😉
I've got the same chassis same transmission same axles but I have a 3642 out runner motor . I had to shim up the transmission a couple mm because the motor was hitting the link screw I had the trans slid over as far as it would go , I just ordered a 60 t spur and 10 t pinion because my rig is to fast the motor is 2250 kv I have scx10 high clearance links and have no issues with the driveshafts hitting , offset axles front & back , I used a battery tray from rock pirates rc it sits between the rails lower had to do some custom stuff with this build but it turned out great now I need to test& tune idk if any of this helps you but there it is
I bought an AMK awhile back and worked good until last weekend then it spun the front drive shaft from the gear. They are pressed on and have heard of it being a issue but locktite 660 is designed for fixing it. It is installed on a Element Ecto which has a bunch of room for it and the included skidplate made it easy.
Good to know! I've heard it will turn into a slipper fast lol. Appreciate the input man. Imma Def put some on there when I install it for good. Thanks!!!
@@arkansasrcnewbie For the locktite to work it has to be taken apart which i did with a punch and a vise with the gear on top and shaft loose then mating surfaces roughed up a bit then cleaned. I used rubbing alcohol. Install locktite on shaft and gear then use old bearing to set spacing. might need to tap it back on. clean up and wait 24hrs and your good.
Yeah I used a 1/8 fuse motor I got used from Ebay it came with a thicc pinion gear and man oh man does it fit like a glove with the gearbox stock spur gear. Hell Yeah this setup moves well with brushless motors
As far as your link in the way of motor, I don’t think you need such a bend in the front bottom. I actually use straight links for front so they match up with the level of the bottom of the skid. So when you are trying to break over a rock, it’s a smooth slide from front link to skid. And your rig will slide right over that rock. Try it…..might work for ya
Yes sir, you know the links are always the biggest issue for me to figure out. So many guys run them very bent. So I try and follow but it's just never a smooth transition! Lol Thanks for the input
I have been looking into getting this transmission too. Seems most that use these have small outrunners so there wouldn't be any issues with motor length no matter what axles you used. I'm glad I watched your video though, all this time I thought the motor mount side went the opposite direction 😅 motor on the rear axle side.
Well I'm glad you got something out of it lol. I'm still a little skeptical woth the outrunners man, the fusion 2 in 1 was like $80 and ot bulletproof!! We will see, thanks for the comment!
What if you was to run a short revolver I mean usually guys with those smaller Transmissions Way Forward that's what they run is a small revolver talking about a brushless motor
I’ve not touched my rec crawlers in a year. Need to fix them mine are old. A 87 Tamika bruiser and a clone of it. Are my fav bu I have a gen 7 and a twisty one that I’m tearing it apart after I get a chassis to use an injora jeep body.
that transmission is going to become a slipper clutch at best from my own experience it's just a matter of time is better t keep your sock transmission or go wite the real 2low from tgh
Did you use the Amk mount plate then Jeremiah? I just got one too and I'm tying to figure out how to get the links to mount without buying longer mm screws... Does the all thread that comes with the kit push in from another screw? Please help .
Hey brother, i used the stock skid plate the amk came with. The lonksnamd screws fot just fine as you could see, just the gearbox did not because of the axles.... Let me know if you need anymore help, if this was at all, or clarification? Also please add another message
Oh snap son, BFYBRC hooked you up! Bummer about the AMK gearbox not working, this crap always seems to happen, have something in your mind how it's going to work and then you have to tinker with it.
I think it's meant to be mounted the other way motor towards the back rear drive shaft should be strait and the front should be more straight also The opposite of what you want with the weight up front

You should go for a Outrunner setup, it will clear you links. Outrunner is in my opinion far better for crawling.
Man, imma take a look for sure. Everyone is saying that and now it's got me thinking lol. Thank you for the input

I used it on my build with an out runner brushless motor and my front differential is a center pumpkin.i used the meus portal axles in amazon.
Well let me go and take a looksy!! Thanks brother
It looks more like it's made for Outrunners. They are a heck of a lot shorter!
🤣🤣 RIGHT!! I would love to try an outrunner man.
You need a stubby outrunner motor
Dude I may be in the market lol. Thanks

Absolutely agree, I think that would work. I just have to buy a crawling brushless esc.
Just mirror the transmission and you should be good , check out how to mirror the tgh 2 low and you should be good to go
Will do! Thanks

You got it man, I guess all it is is plastic and a steel nut.
If the internals. Real you can replace them with the real American manufacturer parts. This transmission is a Chinese copy of the tgh 2-low
Gotta take a look, thanks!
A awesome and very usefull "Unboxing" and Review of a cool Upgrade!!!
🐼🐻❄️🏆
Thks my Friend for the share 🐼👌🏻
Thanks brother, bummer it did not work right! Lol Thanks Panda
You're welcome my Friend ❤
Sorry that don't work so well!!!
Debating if I can swap same tranmission into redcat ascent with a revolver attached.
Do it!!! Then let me know how it goes !! It lines up great woth center pumpkins. I would love a revolver style as well.

For sure man, but that's the hobby right!?!? Lol
@@arkansasrcnewbie you're right about that
Dumb question...wouldn't the center shaft go in the back and the offset go in the front?
That's what I thought too, but the rear moves waaay slower and I am unable to move the gears/shafts.
@@arkansasrcnewbie hmmm..alot of folks run it like that with an outrunner
Check your gear pitch in description! And you get what you pay for.
You are so right!!!
Always gonna have those kind of issues when buying cheap mismatched parts.
Agree, but sometimes there is a diamond in the rough lol. Thanks brother
It's a knockoff of team garage hack 2low transmission. He would have the same problem with the real one.
Outrunner
💯 AGREE!

Man it spins slowed to the rear the way its mounted. I've looked at the guts and I cannot change them.
Good morning thanks for this good video see you later my friend
You bet! Thank you
