oh and the 350F on the oven go down to 320 to 325 in the oven that way you're cake won't DOME up
A tip from an old Appalachian granny: Sift the cake mix and break up any lumps. It will mix up faster and smoother.

If anybody wants to take it up a notch, try adding 2 tablespoons of brewed coffee and 1teaspoon vanilla to the milk (keep in mind to use that amount less of milk in order to not add any extra liquid)

Hey hun, I just want you to know that I made this yesterday and it’s almost gone. We have one serving left for dessert around 6 o’clock. It’s only 3 of us. My son said mommy are you sure this is a box chocolate cake because we love chocolate cake and it never ever tasted so good. He thinks I’m tricking him. I had to show him the box . Girl it’s the bomb. It tasted so good. Light and fluffy. The only thing I did differently was not adding any sugar to it. We don’t like anything too sweet but it was the best chocolate cake I’ve ever tasted . Thank you so much for sharing

I missread these same tips from a recipe blog.
I doubled ALL ingredients not JUST the butter and wondered why it was so watery.
I added some flour to thicken it out and now I have it in the oven with my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!

This sounds so easy, does this work with other types of cake mixes? Yes I like to bake and cook for the two of us and like to try different things for a different taste and flavor of what I make. Going to save this video and give it a try. 😊

I also recommend adding 120g AP flour and 7oz full fat sour cream and 2.5oz grapeseed oil on top of those ingredients its absolutely AMAZING. I'm a professional baker and that's what we use for our wedding cakes.

I would say you may have to split it into 2 cakes , bake 1/2 batter at a time using a loaf pan, but I think it could work! You stay safe as well, thanks for watching!

Hi i really need your help right now! My baking pan is oblong,the length is 12 inch and 8 1/2 wide. We have the same cake mix but i was thinking of a 3500ft altitude. Is is the right baking pan? Or should i use bigger?

What temperature are you using? Same as box mix says?
Yes use whatever temp the box calls for, but definitely do the toothpick test because it may take the cake longer to get completely done.

You should always crack eggs 1 at a time in clear bowl to make sure no egg shells or a rotten egg. They way you did it if 1 of those eggs were rotten then you just ruined everything in that stainless bowl. After crack eggs in small clear bowl to prevent this from happening

I have made this twice and the 1st time I added a extra tbsp. of flour that I must of picked up from another video and cake was a little dry. Next time I doubled the liquid, added a egg and switched out oil for butter and doubled. Awesome cake.

It honestly doesn’t make it overbearingly sweet, but gives it just a little more sweetness and flavor than the original box cake. Thanks for watching!

It makes the cake a little sweeter, but feel free to omit, it is still a great recipe without it.

For one 9x13 or for thicker cake you can use 8 x 8
