Hello from Oklahoma! Fall is just beginning here...I feel so blessed to live in a four season climate. We moved here from Texas which had HOT and COLD! Loving it here. As far as fall books I highly recommend The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorn. Of course The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a great book and movie as well. And while in the classics section, try about anything by Poe. The Raven is always good for autumn vibes. I'm looking forward to making your pumpkin pancakes tomorrow. Sending best wishes and love!

I have read all 4 Practical Magic series. Practical Magic is the 3rd one. I love the movie. The Discovery of Witches is on my list. Your paper houses turned out so well, I should have my hubby help me make some. My artistic talent is so so.

@MyMoonstoneKitchen I only found out it was a series last fall. There was 2 suggested ways to read them. Published order or chronological order by date and that is what I chose. Hope you enjoy the series.

Noooo do yourself a favor and don’t read the Practical Magic book 😭 i was so excited to read it because I hadn’t seen the movie so I wanted to read the book before I watched the movie with my sister and the book is so bad- they definitely improved the storyline with the film. The book’s storyline doesn’t go anywhere it’s so odd. BUT I would recommend the newest book Magic Lessons which is supposed to take place before all of the other books!

Your town is so cute! I see the little shops and cafes and I want to go in them, lol. I made Pumpkin French Toast on Saturday for the first day of fall. I absolutely love the paper house lanterns. Such a cute idea! I'm going to try to find some templates online because I'm no where skilled enough to make them myself. You know, I have never seen "When Harry Met Sally"? I know it's a classic, but for some reason I've just never watched it.

I'm actually looking for new books to read. I'm thinking I might go for a witchy book in the end, but I really wanted a fantasy/mystery book with gothic vibes that is set either in a dark, gloomy, mysterious town (you know the one, where there is always this mysterious fog and darkness everywhere) or in a huge mysterious mansion/castle with dark corners and potential evil lurking around, where it is easy to get lost and the atmosphere is very dark and mysterious but also cozy?
I think I don't want a series but just a one off book, and I don't want it to be too heavy of a read, just something vibey, mysterious and gloomy to fit the weather.
So please, if anybody has any suggestions, I would be so so thankful! ♥

Practical Magic is one of my all-time favorite movies since childhood, but just as many others have already mentioned, the book is nothing like the movie and for me, was a big disappointment. But Slewfoot was one of my favorite reads from last year! It's not scary, but it is dark, gruesome, and anger-inducing with a serious dose of sympathy for the devil! Irregular Witches was very cozy and wholesome!
