  • I really enjoy wax sealing. Wax sealing with a furnace is so relaxing. And using wax seals for favors or invitation decor for showers or parties is such an easy way to step-up your party planning game. But when I make wax seals in bulk it takes a really long time - mostly because I'm limited in space on my marble plate. I only have space for two wax seals at a time so making 48 takes forever and I was looking for a way to bulk process my wax seals and also help me keep them more uniform when I make them with a glue gun (which is my preferred method when making in bulk). So I ordered this silicone mold on Amazon and wanted to see how it would work. So let's check it out together!
    You can find the mold in my Amazon shop: www.amazon.com...
    Other than the mold all the products I used in this video are from Craspire. You can shop Craspire here: www.craspire.com. Make sure you use my code JustScribble5 to save $5 when you spend $40.

    I love using wax seals. I bought these silicone molds. I use 4 beads with the larger design seal. Its plenty of wax. Also when I ran out of the tea lights that came with my kit, I bought large ones. They work so much better.

      Thanks for sharing! I ended up buying larger ones too and so much better than the small one that same with the kit! I’ll try out 4 beads next time I seal with this mold 🤩

    I found an electric furnace for wax seals on amazon. It is reasonably priced. It has an on and off switch. I love it. I also have the silicone mold. Love it too❤❤❤

    This was really neat! Thank you for sharing. I’ve never used wax seals before. Have you ever used them with your journaling?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  2 года назад +2

      I have actually added wax seals to some journaling pages. It’s a fun effect. You do have to use a pencil board if you are writing on pages that are after that because it causes a hump.

    You could use the little one to make wax beads with leftovers from the sticks

    I find these cavities a bit big and 6 beads is rather expensive for 1 seal. I was wondering how it would work in the deeper but smaller mould!

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Год назад +1

      You definitely don't have to fill the whole well - its just a nice guide. But I'm sure they sell other sizes too - this is just the size I found. I typically use 5 beads for my wax seals because that's how many I need to make a full seal with the size of the head. But definitely could make something smaller :)

    • @sharonwatson4085
      @sharonwatson4085 6 месяцев назад

      I agree with you that you require 6 beads. It looks easier than it is to create the seals with uniform wax surrounding the seal rather than the seal image being off centre. There are mini spatulas available for scraping out the wax from the spoons from SHEIN. They are worth purchasing.

    The molds “were” manufactured for the wax seals.

      These particular molds aren’t made for wax sealing - they are baking molds for making chocolate and candies and such.

      Should have thought to use a new tealight for the video but had that one out...definitely takes a long time when the candle gets low...and then goes out LOL

      @@JustScribble I love watching these wax seal videos. I miss the good old days of writing letters. I used to seal the back of them with a wax seal. Nowadays sealing wax and the equipment you use is pretty hard to come by.

  • @WendyEasler

    Have you ever reheated the bottom of the seal a little to adherent to like an envelope or a page? I've seen it but I've never tried it.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Год назад +3

      I have not done that. I'm not sure how well it would work but also I'm afraid I'd burn myself LOL. But I have poured a little dot of warm wax and placed the premade stamp on it which sort of melts the stamp a little so that it sticks.

      @@JustScribble Good point! Do you ever use double stick dots to seal premade wax seals?

    Hi I never purchased anything out of the United States before. Was it expensive to ship items from Craspire?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Год назад +1

      It’s hard to say because shipping varies depending on where you are but also what you are ordering - because the size and the weight play a part. I didn’t find it much different than shipping from other shops but it’s been a bit since I ordered and I don’t know if prices have changed with the postal increases around the world. But I will say they actually sell a lot of their products thru amazon too which is awesome because you get it quicker that way too.

    Do you push or set your seal into the warm wax

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  7 месяцев назад +1

      It depends a little on the wax you use and a little on the weight of the seal but most of the time you just set it on it and the weight of the seal makes it sink and there no pushing. But with cheaper wax or a lighter seal sometimes you have to lightly push it. You never want to push too hard or you’ll have too thin of a seal and too much extra spilling out around the edges.
