@@Raheem-fun-facts It won't make any difference, most of the mods will be replaced by the version of the other modpack and those few that don't repeat themselves will stay there, it won't make practically any difference.
Correction: When using the F3 menu to see FPS you actually lose some FPS so it's better to use a 3rd-party application to check the FPS! Also when chaging the GUI scale to something higher it actually increases the FPS, and if fullscreen is on then you lose some FPS! I hope you do a part 2 explaining this and maybe re-doing the test! EDIT: My orginal comment was me saying you should make your own modpack but then I see you did so yeah 😅 I just putting my second thought that was a video correction!
Windows actually has a tool that shows fps, press windows key + G key and you will see some helpful tools, but there's a preference tool, pin it so it show when you close the menu and but it somewhere in the screen
F3 actually kills FPS a lot, so I'd recommend testing these mods on your own using a mod like FPS Display or Sodium's builtin FPS display. Also, set your settings to the ones you use in each modpack you test. Great video Kasai!

I understand why you wanted to compare these modpacks using the default settings since a lot of people don't bother changing the settings. However, it's definitely unfair not to set the view distance and simulation distances to the same values. I bet if every setting were the same, the FPS difference would be a lot less. Also, not every optimization mod focuses solely on improving world generation speed or culling stuff out of the player's view. Some of them improve particle rendering, entity rendering, mob ai and redstone mechanics. Some modpacks might provide more stable overall FPS while actually playing the game. There is no meaningful difference between 1000fps and 1100fps. Lastly, the F3 menu significantly reduces FPS and is not a reliable way to check your FPS.
Of course, if every settings were the same, the FPS difference would be a lot less. A big part of an optimization Modpack, is the settings though. A lot of optimization packs are using the same mods. What makes them different, is the different configuration of the developer. That's what inspired the video. But I get your point and I'll keep them in mind for a future, maybe more in-depth comparison. Where this were just a casual feature overview and FPS check
quick heads up. the f3 menue takes up to 60% of the performance fro the game so using the show fps feature from ur own modpack helps keep the fps high. this is not a complaint simply information to help u understand defrences
I have M1 Macbook Air 2020 base model. I tested the latest Performium on default settings without any background apps running. I got max 450 fps, avg 350 fps... I get the same amount with my own combination with only 13 mods. Just wanted to say this for someone having M1 macbook Air like me. I won't be using Performium, cause my own combination work the same. FYI: Minecraft was running on latest native Arm version with Java 21 Arm version.
@@EvanOM1ghtyy i am not the same guy but i use sodium, indium, badoptimisation (that is the name lol), clumps, enhancedblockentities, entity culling, c2me, ferritcore, fps reducer (this optimises the cpu and gpu use so it doesnt have frame drops), immediately fast, lithium, (i am windows btw so some mods might not work) hope that helped :D
@@EvanOM1ghtyy the main issue is game resolution on Mac, if you have Sodium installed go to Video Settings and press Shift + P. You'll see an option to change the resolution, find whatever the native resolution for a Mac M3 is from the internet and change it to that + make sure Fullscreen is enabled in the game's settings otherwise it won't change the resolution

The f3 meniu eats your fps and the last mod was swt by default to 32 chuncks for both render and shadow distance which puo it at a dissadvantage compaired to the other modpacks that wore running 13 chuncks
Anytime I see someone use words to make seeds I remind myself that I have the not so sacred knowledge that you can only use numbers in seeds because if you use any other characters it will be random
what about remarkably optimized? (its made by a youtuber, and you cant find it in modrinth) also would be nice if you compare performium with remarkably optimized since i get 1.2k fps easily with it
Hey Kasai! I own and manage my own optimization + QOL modpack, and if you are planning on doing a follow-up video on your optimization modpacks, i think you might be surprised. On my computer, it gets upward of 2.5K fps +, with the other modpacks only getting about 2K. The only difference is that mine comes with 40 mods, compared to the average 20. I noticed that Fabulously Optimized modpack uses the cpu less compared to the first one. I guess the 2nd one provides less heating which is good for long sessions.
Sodium + got low fps because the render distance and shadow distance at 32 Chunks and 12 chunks on simulation distance. might try sodium + to see how much fps I can get though
one time when i had a super large modpack my fps was 80 when standing and 60 when walking, 30 when running and with elytra 2 fps. I installed sodium and sodium extra and i had 1600 fps but i had large frame drops so i installed bare bones and i didn't have frame drops anymore

Thanks man, i'll download all optimization mods from that modpacks to improve my XD Unfortunately i can't use NVIDIUM, bcs i have AMD card (RX 6800 16GB VRAM) and i rly regret it in this things. But hey, AMD has the best recording tool and drivers I've ever seen, and I love it. It's AMD Adrenalin and ( obviously) it's primarily a driver for the AMD card, secondarily a View Tool for the whole system and any games you have, and thirdly, a recorder.

Hey just a correction, fabric isnt more optimized then forge. I dont know where this comes from but ive tested this extensively and didnt find it slower then fabric. Good video tho, nice pacing, nice transitions.
@resonanter normalised both jvms using G1GC and used VisualVM to extract what the jvm was doing. Using 16gb of ddr4 momory and 16gb of ddr3 in another rig. I loaded into a world. Waited for it to stabilise then started doing a worldgen test. With both fps and chunkloading beeing exactly the same within error range

Absolutely facts. Everything above 120 does not matter. These optimisation packs are mostly for those with low end systems, so they can get a playable framerate

In my case full screen mode increases 25 fps

I used preformium on the steam deck, and I went from 80 fps to a stable 600 fps with a max of 900.
