I LOVE how Marc was going Freddie style here; scatting and having the audience repeat it while he was still doing his own style. The amount of respect and passion put on by these musicians is heartwarming to say the least.
the drummer's voice! Heck yeah! Also, the way Marc is getting the audience to respond to his "call and answer" riffs is superb!
Where Queen with Adam uses a recording of Freddie improvising during a Wembley concert, Marc includes the call and response part in his live performance of this song, but in a more simple sequence that most audiences can follow. He kept the "Bite the dust!" part and a few other bits, and he's a lot more careful about blowing out his voice. Now Marc can not only do this all the way through, but also Bohemian Rhapsody and a ton of other songs; I just watched a few videos where there was a mishap in Chile and it was just him and guitarist Tristan Avakian on stage. They were still amazing.

Marc's natural timbre is very similar to Freddie's. He said in interviews that he does have to try a little to really nail it but that he doesn't have to go far to get to Freddie. In fact, he said that even when he specifically tries not to sound like Freddie, people still tell him that he sounds like Freddie!

What's amazing to me is the fact that the girl is only singing, the drummer is keeping a steady beat for the entire band, doing drum fills, and singing higher than most men can (not to mention a full octave higher than the girl) all at the same time.
I think if anything, the drummer should've sung the first and second verse and Marc sings the rest. Give the girl a triangle or something.

Check out the Downhere songs "Surrender", "The More", "You're Not Alone" and "Let Me Rediscover You". The Freddie-ness in his voice is really noticeable when he's belting it out!
Martel, Tyler Warren(Drums) are the best, and Francois-Olivier Doyon ain't too shabby either!
It's a really great group of gifted muscians.
Marc does a lot of solo songs in the show. This is the only song that has all 3 vocalists, which is probably why they chose to feature it.
you can see the audience perked up once Marc got on stage.

Marc's is also changing up the vocal gymnastics for each show, based on the videos of this song that have been posted. I was at the Toronto show on Jan 21 and he had the audience calling back "Toron-TO" and "Ontari-OH" as well as the regular "ee-ohs"!

For the past two years Marc has taken all all vocals except Roger's (which Tyler Warren does) and then the keyboardist, bassist and lead guitar share some of the other vocals. Jennifer was gone two years ago. Search for more recent versions of this song if you want to hear Marc doing most of the vocals.

Fieskmask I think Ben means Marc is straining his voice too much. With that said, Freddie DID conserve his voice in gigs, he held back from reaching the highest notes live not because he couldn't hit them but because he wanted to save his voice and he already had nodules and didn't want to ruin his voice.

Nope, I wasn't at this one. They did film the entire concert but only for promotional purposes. There are no plans to release a concert DVD. I'm glad "promotional" means putting it on YT for us and hope they post more. But then I also remember how much QE audition footage they filmed and how little we got to see, so I'm just going to be thankful for what we get and not hold my breath for more!

She was removed before the 2014 tour. Ticketron fan reviews agree with you 20-1. Look at the 2015 concert last month in Iceland to see the current lineup.

They just toured VERY small venues in the US just before the movie release, but without Marc Martel, whose schedule was too busy to join them. (Actually, only the bassist and guitar player on the tour were originals that you see here)

Sadly they haven't done any pro multi cam recordings since the 2011-2012 tours. The band has become smaller with a more Queen - like sharing of vocals between guitarists, drummer and lead. Search for the latest 2015 tour of Australia.

What i also like from Queen Extravaganza is they all have real talent and no FAKE MUSTACHES that's what i really hate about cover bands they want to look like Freddie Mercury that is already an instant fail and trying to be Freddie sucks. What Marc and the band do is how it supposed to be.
