We do zero based budgeting but also, MOST of our bills are split between 2 main paychecks (as in 1/2paid from 1 check & the other 1/2 paid in the 2nd check) I’ve tried to do it in every other way possible but this is literally the only way to make sure we have enough to pay for everything. & I have it set up so that even on wonky paycheck months, the money is able to cover it before the due date. We use YNAB and have for years. It’s been a game changer for us.
I’ve been wanting to try YNAB, but I’m so used to Every dollar now, maybe I’ll try it out this year! I like the paycheck budgeting method, I haven’t tried doing it that way because it seems like all of our bills are always due right away at the beginning of the month, but I do like that if it works out!
So I clicked on for your free budget planner and when I did it said it's going to send it to my email and then it sent it to me for your grocery planner thing and I had to pay for it and I don't want to pay for it so I don't think that your budget planner is actually for free
It should be in your email! It shows the offer page to buy the meal planner after you put in your email, but it should say at the top that your freebie is headed to your inbox! If you can’t find it email me at drshannonblog@gmail.com and I can send it.
I plan to talk about this eventually! Basically we have been doing Dave Ramsey’s baby steps so we haven’t started retirement thinking we would start once we were “quickly” debt free, but since it’s taking so much longer and we both turn 40 this year, we are going to start something, not the full 15%, but maybe 5% until we finish the debt.
Thank you so much for the free budget planner. Just what I needed.🤗
You’re welcome! I hope it helps!
Thank you 😊
You’re welcome! ☺️
We all need to eat. Yes! But when your grocery bill is mostly chips, prepackaged foods, coke etc. Then cut back your kids really don’t need it.

I am just discovering your channel. I would like to know more about your retirement plan.

Where do we find the budget sheets
There should be a link in the video description but I’ll also put it here: shannoncairns.lpages.co/freebie-budget-planner/
