I like your videos. Everybody likes to say that certain brands are garbage but not everybody can afford a Sundown Nightshade subwoofer. So us budget minded people need to know what we're getting as well. And most people will just say "don't waste your money" and shit like that. It's a nice change to see the more affordable stuff reviewed and demoed.

Hey bro thanks for this input. I have the same Gothic 12 and I believe they are severely underrated. I'm going to the BAMF 15 next and putting this system in my wife's car. I built a custom box for the Gothic. I used to install professionally years back when big bass first started coming out. I'm truly amazed how far car audio equipment has come in twenty years. Keep bassin' my friend 👍

Great and thorough video man. I'm going to look into these ground shakers. I have limited space behind my GMC Yukon's 3rd row seat and this would fit perfectly behind it.

I thought your video on the tubes was good but you didn't tell us about how they actually sound, the quality of the sound. If you could include more of what you think of the performance that would help alot more. I still appreciate the video.
I actually still have these enclosures(not the drivers though). I think that, for a prefab enclosure, they sounded pretty good. They do have narrow ports and do deliver port noise. But aside from that, they pleased me.
BudgetBassHead.. The enclosure was the main reason I was looking for a bass tube video. I was thinking about putting a 8" sub in a tube with 1000w to it. Was wondering how it sounded. Ultimately I decided on a box that was more in tune with the sub as far as hertz. Thanks again though.. keep the videos coming.
I can build you a bigger battery pack. you can use a plug in charger. and it could last longer if you wanted longer win time . that pack will at most last a hour. don't let it drop much under 9volts. most amps will shut off at 10v . you shouldn't have to worry about over discharging. I think a sealed tube would sound better. the skar does sound better!
The eight inch bass tube looked like the specs would be more accurate and I think it most def sounded better didn't seem like it had as much port noise and that sub should have been able to handle every bit of that amp
Most people can’t talk in videos without a million jump cuts. You have almost zero dead air time and no jump cuts. Please give RUclips lessons. Honestly. Prob wait till you get huge though lol. Take care.

Hi the lipo battery's are cool and portable but over time it's also costly . If it's not done right.
if you don't need it portable I would look in to or recamend a power supply out off a or made for a motor homes it's 110 v plug and out puts about 14.5 v and will hold up to 150 amps on the out put side it also looks like a amp on the out put side and if you take your time looking around it should run you around 85$ hope it helps it did for my test set up. I also love the video i had to watch it when I release I made this same set up a year ago for the same 8 and box for my buge it build for my bed room sound and mounted a 300 watt rms svs plate amp to the back of it And have not had time to even install it or play it I my room yet. I suck work to

I have my demo amp hooked up using an old 300 watt ATX pc power supply. Maybe something to look into.
I tried an ATX 450watt and it cuts off at low frequency drops @200 watts
Well yeah, depending on the power you're looking to push; you may need a more powerful power supply. Another old one I have laying around is 12v - 18 amps. So volts times amps says that this would supply 216 watts.

Great video! Do you think a woofer that wants .65 cf tuned to 43hz would perform well in the 8 inch tube?
Yes. The tube should assist the driver from bottoming out with frequencies below is recommended tuning.

You are absolutely right I had these eighths in a 3 cubic foot box. Each chamber was 1.5cu.ft. and they sounded amazing! They hit the lows really really well.

I got it from ebay. But Ground Shaker has it own website as well.

I was just wondering do you think it would work for a x10 ? I'm trying to find out a good box choice until I can build one
@@jamesr_whiterock_ocmd_3629 in my experience with the sundown x series subwoofers is that this enclosure does not have the port area recommended for that subwoofer series.
That Ground Shaker stuff is expensive.

Yo d I need the design four that gothic 12 I got one but it's sealed n blucky I need the specs of that tube
The specs for this tube is 1.6cu.ft. tuned around 23Hz. But I recommend going at least 2c.ft. for this sub. Its amazing with the right size enclosure. Good Luck.

That is a very shitty sounding sub (the gothisc sub). I just watched your free air video of this sub and it made a lot of noise and i knew it would distort.
