  • In this video, I replace the front wheel bearing on a 2015 Honda Civic. This wheel bearing was howling as I was driving down the road during my test drive and it needed to be replaced. Well I decided to replace the wheel bearing on the car without the use of a shop press. It was a rather easy job for me to do, but may impose challenges to others. Well as normal don't forget to comment, like and subscribe along with checking out my channel content for more. Stay Safe and Have Fun!

      Thank you kindly. Glad it helped and wish the best on your vehicles. Hopefully they are not as rusty as they are here in Michigan.

      These kids ain't stupid nowadays I don't know why everyone gives them a bad rap. It's easy for them to get information we had to go to libraries and everything else. Plus when they stay inside and play their games they don't get in trouble. We were thrown outside and we'd go build fires and get chased by the cops. These kids ain't bad nowadays mine will get in trouble at all and they work on cars

    I gotta do this on my 2020 Civic, but I think I'm going to invest in this tool rather than clocking out early and doing it at my job. The puller/installer kit is pretty bad ass!

    Awesome video thank you for uploading it. Everything seems doable for me up until the 9:14 mark, I dont know what piece you removed when you you have the hub on a bench vise. What can we use if we don't have that air chisel? Would I have to buy a new hub from OEM? 44600-TR0-A00 seems to be the part number

      Same all of this make sense to me except for that part. What part is that exactly and do we have to replace it?

    • @SCOOBYDOOBY664
      @SCOOBYDOOBY664 Месяц назад +2

      That part is the inner race of the bearing you are replacing... it sticks on the hub and has to be destroyed to remove..but no worries .. it is part of the new bearing

    Nice video. Im trying to remove my bearing using that tool but it does not come out. Any ideas? Im using an impact driver with 400Nm of torque.

    • @Alexa_Spencer
      @Alexa_Spencer  10 дней назад

      When removing, I normally will strike the casting holding the bearing and it will sometimes come out. Others since I’m in Michigan and in the rusty rust belt, it will take a large amount of force using a shop press to remove. Those are the two methods that I tend to use.

    No need to loosen the nuckle, or the tie rod end. Or the axle.. No need to use that tool, there's a much better way.

    Very good video. I have otc hub grappler looks like similar style. Theres a manual book but doesnt have this year of car listed. Is it require to remove tie rod end though?

    • @Alexa_Spencer
      @Alexa_Spencer  Год назад

      I tend to just pop them off so I can freely rotate the knuckle and easily remove the half shaft. I was debating removing the lower ball joint and pulling the unit out that way, but given they were not cam bolts and it’s not a ford it didn’t really matter the route needed to be taken. It was easier for me to film the process using this method. How do you like your OTC, OEM, NAPA, etc system, I believe they supply other companies as well.

    Maybe let the weekenders know what the magnetic strip is for. Not all bearings have it on both sides.

    • @carrotcake602
      @carrotcake602 Месяц назад

      In case anyone reads this later, if your bushing has only one side that has a magnetic strip, the magnetic side must face TOWARDS the ABS sensor (the one that gets removed at 5:08). So in this particular video, the magnetic strip should face INTO the car, since that's where the sensor is located.

    not sure why you didnt use an oz of antisieze on any of that, not judging, just cringing over here a little and feel sorry for the next poor soul that has to take that apart next time ( OR STRUGGLE TO REMOVE EVERYTHING NEXT TIME)

    Does removing the 2 bolts off the strut affect the wheel alignment... ive seen othe videos that says it does?

    • @Billy-zo9bk
      @Billy-zo9bk 9 месяцев назад

      No, as far as I know, the 2013/2014 civic do not have camber adjustment bolts on the struts. Mark them just to be sure, then when you take them out if they look straight all the way around the you know they don't.
