RIVERDANCE in Ireland were the most unique professional irish dancers, just incredible. Loved to watch them at the Irish Eurovision Song Contest - WOW! I was 35 yrs old then - time does fly!💝

One of the dance performances ever. Also without a doubt the best ever Eurovision contest interval act.
    Bravo!

I was so moved when I watched the original Riverdance. But for me the music was really what did it. The music combined with the visual (dance) invoked such beautiful emotions in the heart, not just mine but millions across ethnic lines.

At the Eurovision which was the first time anything about Riverdance was seen, the first person seen was Katie McMahon singing but the first dancer seen was Jean Butler.

Interesting how her accent keeps jumping between American and Irish. I know that's her background, but normally First Generators have the American accent.

You can really hear it when she says "Areland" instead of "Ireland."

That boy at 6:12 must be gifted.

No, it just pure hard work. As far as I can see, it's the same boy you see at 5:50.

It's not a good idea to march in formation on a bridge.
I'm pretty sure it is a bad idea to dance on a bridge in unison.
If the rhythm matches the resonance of the structure, it can amplify the vibration and eventually collapse the bridge.

    Where's Flately. ?

    • @macaelatice-loma1048
      @macaelatice-loma1048 4 года назад +2

he prob never really cared... he just wanted the fame for himself. then you got Jean who said the truth. the way irish dancing has such a powerful sound that moves you and fantastic music to pair it with!! far more wisdom than Flatley ever had for darn sure!!

Why no mention of Michael Flatley who was the other creative driving force behind the creation of Riverdance ?

I think he was the creative driving force, and Jean Butler was his featured dancer. In the end he became too greedy, and Jean Butler got more recognition than he was expecting.

Trump should appoint Jean Butler as the U S Ambassador to Ireland.....She would be great at it and forever tie the Irish and US together----She is the classiest woman to come along since Jackie Kennedy......Send Moosie Michelle Obama back to the farm; where she came from..............Erin Goh Braugh !! ...Ireland Forever !!!

well, send Obama to Kenya as US Ambassador to Kenya.

edward martis what an embarrassment to be a trump supporter. Jean would never shame herself by working in trump’s “administration.” And by the way, our former First Lady’s name is Michelle. It’s about time you grew up from being a petulant 12 year old.
