I was so moved when I watched the original Riverdance. But for me the music was really what did it. The music combined with the visual (dance) invoked such beautiful emotions in the heart, not just mine but millions across ethnic lines.
At the Eurovision which was the first time anything about Riverdance was seen, the first person seen was Katie McMahon singing but the first dancer seen was Jean Butler.
Interesting how her accent keeps jumping between American and Irish. I know that's her background, but normally First Generators have the American accent.
It's not a good idea to march in formation on a bridge. I'm pretty sure it is a bad idea to dance on a bridge in unison. If the rhythm matches the resonance of the structure, it can amplify the vibration and eventually collapse the bridge.
