  • This is a simple little Euro nymph that I like to use in the spring. It's a quick tie but offers a great profile for small mayflies while representing many other insects. Just one of those confidence patterns that's easy to fill the fly box with. In this one, I also added some flash using a method that I don’t often see and believe it was originally done by Nathan Wight (@n.w.flyco). A great alternative to adding a flashback; simply by switching up the methods you use to tie them and is well worth a try!

Ever watch "How its made?" You have a great, soothing, relaxing voice when you describe fly patterns. And, yeah, I love the patterns, too! I can't wait to try these here in the shadow of Katahdin!

First time ive seen that hotspot tinsel method. That might actually work out well for other patterns too.

Oh for sure, I more just wanted to mention it because I really do see it used at all. Id like to use flash but is often done with thread or floss
