- Hello Games, the team behind No Man’s Sky unveiled its next project recently at The Game Awards. Titled Light No Sky, the upcoming survival game will thrust players into a fantastical version of a planet that is brimming with all sorts of different creatures and varied biomes available to explore.
The open world is claimed to be built to scale through procedural generation, so you can be sure that you will never run out of places to visit and stuff to craft. We also saw plenty of interesting mechanics like dragon riding and a shared multiplayer world among others. With this video we will be taking a look at 10 details about Light No Fire that fans should definitely know about. - Игры
They absolutely have a good track record of not abandoning their games.
Considering what they went through with NMS and what they achieved in spite of it, I have every confidence this will lead somewhere good. I think the "release hype" can never be lived up to - its not going to be as good at launch as NMS is now, but I dont think it will be a disaster like NMS, and will only get better
After experiencing the insane turnaround from NMS's day one release to where its at now, I have so much confidence that they'll do right by us this time around, I feel like the now have the revenue as well as the experience to go at this again compared to then, so we can look forward and hopful towards what theyre promising, just dont get to hopeful lol
Yes and i would encourage them buy buying this on cuz the no man sky they have done a great hard worck
This, we can say they had a horrible launch but if NMS didn't go down the way it did where would we be HG has proven to be a dedicated team that's passionate about their games NMS is more than the game we were promised now.
and making ridiculous promises
Since the Map is one world, then it makes total sense to have different Races and biomes in the game.
It would have made sense in NMS as well. A true Earth like planet. Though NMS races is highly lacking even if it is a generic Matrix type story for a universe.
Uh oh so here's what they are doing...
Rust survival game
Procedural generated world
World wipe after 48/72hours, rinse and repeat (battle royale)
10 new details awesome.... detail 1: It's Fantasy!.... WOAH! Never would have guessed that!
I trust this company now after how well they overcame a bad launch and made one heck of a fantastic game in No Mans Sky. I still play that game now every now and then, it's addictive.
None of these details are "New"...
Not everything has to be new. Sometimes it's good enough when a developer just makes it better. Hello Games has proven already this is the case.
@@fraktux”none of these details are new” meaning he and most people already know these details about the game.
@@fraktuxyou reply doesn’t make sense. None of these details are new.
One positive comment, and three jerks. Ahh RUclips comments.
@@fraktux He never said that everything (or anything at all, for that matter) had to be new. He didn't even say if it would be a good thing or a bad thing if it was new. All he said was that these details are not new. I imagine his reason for pointing this out is because the title plainly states one thing, when in fact the opposite is true. Drawing attention to a misleading video title isn't being a jerk; if anything, it's doing people a favor (including the creator, assuming that it was an honest mistake).
I bought NMS day one and have played it ever since release, this will be a day one purchase for me
Same
Same 2
Same 3
Same 4
10 details anyone with half of the brain of a rodent would have gathered from even watching a quarter of the trailer.
2:00 "Much like no man's sky, light no fire will also be relying procedural generation"
Much like the script for this video.
haha, that's what I got from this video, repeat the same thing all the video from the trailer's information, gosh
that part of the trailer where the camera comes out of the water is like literally one for one copy of the no man's sky reveal trailer :D
This game looks awesome! Hopefully we can get more info soon. I've been itching for a game like this that's basically Oblivion meets Minecraft.
This game has so much potential, and since it's made by Hello Games, I feel like it will reach it. However will that be at launch, or like No Man's Sky will it take a year or two post launch to get there? Time will tell, but I'm definitely interested. I just hope they learned some lessons from No Man's Sky.
Get over the release of nms.these people are getting lazy.seems like every other game released Is a heap of shit
Omg that was 7 years ago.let it go.there is no redemption with you people but yet you people continue buying these games.every other game is broken.find a new hobby
few games get me excited anymore these days, this is at the top of the list for sure.
This game is on my "must have" list. Hello Games is a big factor for me wanting to play. I love No Man's Sky and this new game is really in my wheelhouse.
lets hope the combat is good it's something they haven't got right before
My partner loves No Man's Sky. I don't care for it that much no direction and brain dead combat, but this could be something for both of us if the combat is descent and there's some direction.
Or maybe no combat

I wonder why.
Thank you for being optimistic about the upcoming game but also stating the pre-launch of over-promising experienced in No Man Sky. Always be informed 👍
Who doesn't want to be a Wizard Rabbit, or Warrior Bear/Badger, or Rogue Deer? This game looks absolutely wonderful to me. That being said, I won't be pre-ordering it or buying it right at launch, until I know that it's what was promised.
They have the best track record at this point..just took them a few years!😅

At least they did it. So many developers dont.
Well, they identified it quite frankly, without watching your video already knew they identified it as a survival sandbox game on earth sized world with survival mechanics that’s massively multiplayer with bass and and settlement building. I mean you’re you’re not telling us anything we don’t already know this video doesn’t really describe anything. We haven’t already seen in the trailer video.
No mans sky has come a long way since its launch but let's not forget the long road it took. Let's not have our hopes up too high just yet
And let's not forget they've already travelled that long road. It would be silly to assume the quality of this game won't equal the quality of NMS as it stands right now. Without the restraints put upon the engine because of having to fill a whole universe with planets and moons, I'm expecting slightly better detail and deeper systems than NMS. I'm not expecting 'perfection' at launch though. I'm expecting an enjoyable experience that improves and grows over time, and eventually far surpass NMS.
My hopes are sky high. As Gamer Lord Tennyson said, "'Tis better to have been hyped and been disappointed than never to have been hyped at all."
@@eloquentsloth6080 I'm not sure the whole 'tis better to have loved ...' philosophy translates well to 'hype'. lol. Two completely different things.
Cautiously optimistic for this one.
You may have seen the news that Google's artificial intelligence gamer simulator (SIMA) is being tested on NMS... It could be very interesting to see it integrated into LNF.
Alright alright with tempered expectations yet fair understanding of what they learend from NMS and how far its come, looks cool.
The procedural generated world is the only aspect that turn me off a little bit, although there are good games that use the tech like NMS, Remnant and Returnal, usually its only a matter of time before the repetition start to creep in... I'll try to keep an open mind though.
It's a planet scale ...planet, and you want it not to be procedural generated?!
You expect humans to build it ?!
It will take "thousands of years" to finish the game. :))
Yeah. I really wish I could just experience someone else's intentional creation rather than awe at the potential of simulated algorithms.
one word. Valheim.
FYI NMS is by the same publisher.
I am willing to give it the benefit that it CAN become something good, just not that it's what it will be at the start. I won't exactly hold my breath.
It’s quite literally not a fantasy world it’s multiple worlds put together to make one world
Would be cool if our starting area is base on what countries we're playing on. Like all westerns will be on the west side of the globe while china is at the other side of the globe for example. That would be pretty cool.
Reminds me a lot of world of warcraft in the early days... I've been looking for a game with that same momentum, super excited about this
I hope theres a lot of things to craft
When you look at No Man's Sky now, its obvious that was the game Hello Games was talking about when they were hyping it up on stage. It took a very long time to get there, but it got there.
I dont think they ever lied, i think they always had this current vision of the game in their head back in 2014, they just totally underestimated the playerbases ability to cover the entire game within such a short time.
So, if this company is going to fix this perception, the game needs at least half the amount of the current No Man's Sky content, or they need to be completely transparent and admit the content drip will be like No Man's Sky.
Sean Murray was asked, directly, if there would be multiplayer in the game at launch and he said yes. This isn't the only direct lie he told. He absolutely lied about the release of NMS. Is it good now? Yes. Did he lie about what the product was going to be? Yes. The best _possible_ excuse is that he lied to get the money he needed to make his vision a reality. A lie is a lie.
@@vewyscawymonsta what I'm saying is, they didn't lie in the sense that they were never going to put that stuff in the game. I'm just convinced they'd believed no one would notice it wasn't there because they thought people wouldn't reach those points until they had added them. So absolutely it was shitty of them to do, they fucked up bad launching it without the stuff they promised, but I think they always intended the game to look the way it does today. They definitely lied about it actually being available at launch though.
Game at launch. Barren, obsolete, absolutely nothing to do 😂
Oh good i knew all the details already, I'd hate to not be caught up on all the "new" details
Thought this was a mobile game ad lol
HAVE FIRST PERSON CAMERA?
Oh yeah. Its a pure furgasm going on
In terms of the open world aspects and those promises I can definitely see why that’s a challenge a game very similar to this “Dark and light” featured more or less the same as this the game was great despite minor bugs in the early beta release - but despite this getting a dlc the base game never made it out of early release 😏 - it’s such a shame used to be one of my favorite games 😔
This is my type of game. Being able to explore and meet random players. Visit players bases. Trade resources. I loved that about Atlas. Unfortunately that game is horrible, good concept. Really hoping Light No Fire lives up to its claims.
omg did u see big corvax
I would've been interested if it were a single player game.
This is a rust mold game and I hate rust
Getting a tiny bit of Valheim vibes
No shit cat obvious it’s an MMORPG with an earth sized planetary body able to contain 7.8 million people that are on planet earth that’s it their goal so of course given that it’s actually been identified as an MMRPG on an earth size planet i.e. 500,000,000 km² I suspect that it means it’s going to be a multiplayer game. I mean it’s right in the name massively multiplayer online literally has the word multiplayer in it. The initial reveal trailer shows in game footage you can tell by the way people mount the dragon by other things going on, but that’s in game footage in engine those are players doing those actions recording itand there are massive numbers of people building that settlement so we pull out the obvious that it’s going to be a multiplayer environment
Incorrect. Singleplayer confirmed, you only connect to players near you in the gamr world, ect.
They need classes, stats, Abilities, skill tree, Gear dropped from mobs
I like the way you added "Hello Games claims..." to a couple of those details. Not to say that NMS isn't great... NOW! But I'm going to temper my expectations for Light No Fire. At least for the first year or so.
So 3 years after release it will be great.
Todd Howard has a worse reputation for lieing than Shawn tho
The mounts look like a reskinned ship from nms by how it takes off and boosts away
NMS is now how it should have been at launch, but the devs eventually made it so. I'll have my eyes set on this, albeit much later after its launch.
I wonder what the planet’s name is.. 🤔
Pluto
Everybody seems to forget that when no mans sky released they told us it wasnt ready. They wanted to delay it more.
I bet they did by another 5 years. But they needed money to continue the development of the game and this is why companies release broken products
Ok
Is anyone else not so hyped for this one.
Don't get me wrong I hope it's a good game but I'm just not feeling it.
Is it just me or whenever Gamespot makes these kind of videos they are all super generic facts about whatever game they are referencing?
Im predicting a better launch game than no mans sky but still slightly bare bones, but why Im hyped regardless is they have proven they will provide unbelievable support for years to come and thats what Im hyped about I want to grow with the game because I missed out on no mans sky evolution because from an outsider it looked like so much fun
Platforms??
Hopefully only PC keep us away from filthy console users who hinder the amazing heights our PC gaming experiences can reach. 😂
PC and Current Gen Consoles
Yeah PC absolutely ruined Batman
Hope they have a single player version of this. In my experience, other players take away from the fun of a game. Players are rude, bossy and can be trolls. I no longer enjoy games that forces me to experience other players.
Sounds like you play the wrong games or get triggered to easy. I just started playing WoW and haven't experience that and even if I did I can just mute or block the person.
Considering I have been playing MMO's since long before you were born, and have seen how the players have went from respectful to one another to a troll fest with the younger generations and have personally watched it all change over the years, I would say that I am just tired of other people ruining my experience of a game and not any of that garbage that just spewed out of your mouth. Who are you to tell me my personal experiences? Nobody. @@KevenPirritano
It looks like a rust battle royale game
Which I expect it's one of those survival type games
same
If the game is as massive as they claim. There'll be plenty of locations where you don't see other players if it is really the sizes of an earth. I highly doubt 8 billion of our populations would be playing this game so I'm expecting the encounter rate to be EXTREMELY low. But honestly I don't think such an open world is even possible. I'm very skeptical about this game.
So basically minecraft
I saw many fires lit…
Already not living up to the hype
Lmao I said the same thing while watching the trailer.
No mans Skyrim.
Nice!
No man's rust
I love these videos where you just tell us what happens in the trailer... Also, hold your horses.. There wont be any kind of interesting combat in this game. It will be a resource collector like no man's sky
Watch the trailer, there is combat, melee, archery, magic.
I love what they did with no man's sky but I'll probably wait 1-2 years
This might be a "fool me once" scenario, but I hope it's not
I think they learned their lesson
You don't know the situation read my above post. In short Sony has atleaat as much to blame for the state No Man Sky was initially released in
NMS eventually fulfilled its promise. Personally, I completely missed the hype and got into it after they had made their improvements.
This won't be the way it releases on release. It's far too ambitious like no man sky
Can we stop harping on the initual release of No Man Sky. There was an event that happened that was out of their control. There was a flood (once in a century kind) that damaged a lot of there work and Sony rejected their requeat for an extension. Most developers would of given up on the game but Hello Games persevered thru all of the hate, backlash, and the abandoment by Sony. I can't wait for the day for gaming journalists and online publications to not bring up the launch of No Man Sky whenever they talk about Helo Games.... In short GET THE F OVER IT
Right?! It's so tiresome. It's like they're duty bound to mention it in every video and every article.
Blizzard doesn't get half as much crap as HG have to deal with and they actively squeeze their playerbase for cash every. single. game.
Light No Fire is my most anticipated game in years. I honestly can't wait.
It was a historically botched launch, that never goes away. Worse still was that SM flat out lied, always hard to trust anybody after they're caught spouting falsehoods. Forgiving is not forgetting.
It's simple really, don't wanna be known as the goat schtuper...don't schtup that goat.
@@RagnarokMic Yes. You're right. It's THE most egregious thing to ever happen to the games industry. You've convinced me. Sean Murray is the absolute epitome of evil.
We must never forget and we must never forgive. We must hold on to our hatred for it sustains us. DEATH TO HELLO GAMES.
That's what you sound like...
@@dylanhal No, that’s just you being overly dramatic over perfectly reasonable statements. If you’re not actually Sean Murray, being so unhinged about it makes little sense.
No we wont. We do it to hold companies responsible for their shit instead of passing garbage on to us.
No evermore with an open world blocks you from going to the region you just get your ass kicked it’s not level gating level gating is a process whereby you can’t do a thing and until you reach a level literally can’t do it like armor that requires me level 15 and you’re only level eight you can’t put it on that’s level dating Questing that you can’t do until you reach a certain level that’s level dating a world you can’t explore because you aren’t well enough equipped to go into certain regions isn’t level gating that’s just good world design one Tamriel is a terrible fucking concept that completely eliminates, the power fantasy and the reason to level up when I level 10 adventure with my friend at level 62 reasonable damage to the same boss they’re doing reasonable damage to. It simply doesn’t make sense but that still not level dating when it when it when I am limitedlevel dating is the concept whereby you are disallow from doing a thing until you reach a level
Clickbait title, video proceeds to tell us what was already revealed or made obvious from the trailer. 👎👎
Nothing new here
This is lame af. "10 new datails" "it's in a fantasy setting"
Those aren’t RPG elements getting access to gear and resources are elements are character development progression your skills and well. I know it has them again your miss informing.
2ns
Wow this is top notch content milking 🙁
3rd smh lol
Looked really nice... till they decided to "concentrate on multiplayer". Hope they don't completely abandon single player.
For sure waiting to see what the reviews say on this. I don’t trust Sean Murphy
Yeah numerous free updates get off your high horse
@@jspot_5198 the game still wasn’t at launch what he promised.
Wake me up when they put combat mechanics on planets. Not those boring, useless, yawn drawing sentinels
The day before ruined gaming for me 😂😂 but then I met bg3 😮 so please 🙏 wild 🔥 don’t be a dud
Shortly after the failure of the day before, *Once human* launched their beta and would you believe it, they delivered what the day before had promised for years 😂
They lost me at multiplayer
Fool me once shame on me fool me twice shame on you, and honestly I can see that scenario come your way pass sadly at least in my opinion.
hopefully its not open world full of nothing. lol
Nothing against this game but as a general rule,People should not support AI and procedural generation, these companies will one day give you souless computer generated games.Look at,ugh... Starfield.
Too much bio mutant vibes. Might have to pass on this one.
Anything for veiws huh? Clickbait/lying just to try and get veiws so you can make money.how pathetic.you don't know anything new because they haven't released any new info. ...
Meh
"slated to release on console and pc sometime in the near future"
No it is not, they said it is pc only currently.
10 New details my arse, cheap clickbait video with zero new details.
FALSE: The developer has never said the game is PC only. People jumped to that conclusion due to the game being listed first on steam. Reporting your blatant misinformation attempt.
