I was pretty late to Telltales' The Walking Dead series, but man, what an amazing set of games. The style of gameplay isn't for everyone, but the characters really draw you in, and your choices do matter to a certain extent - Season 1 is fantastic, but the subsequent seasons are still pretty dang good.
The thing I have noticed about this list is something these games have in common. It isn't graphically mind blowing, but the art direction and story drive is what made them popular! Graphics are important, but they aren't the end all/be all.
i think dying light might be the only single player game I know that has been actively been improved for its whole lifetime. That´s why I also gave dying light 2 a second chance. that one also got way better. fantastic support from this team for their games

@@siddharthsingh23 no shit buddy. Gta V came out in 2013 and Rdr2 in 2018. For a 10 year old game Gta V does have a lot of details. To this day i have not played games like RDR2 and the Witcher 3 .Not a single game made me feel what i felt while playing this two absolute masterpieces especialy the witcher 3 because i am more of a fantasy freak .
I just finished LOS on PC maybe 3-4 days ago, and after it, oh boy, hard to find the game that can grip you as much. I plan on replaying it on harder difficulties because this game feels to be helluva lot better on higher difficulties. I legit enjoyed character, narrative and combat\stealth mechanics were both satisfying, and this game looks sooo good. Details of the world in this game are just nuts. It's hardware heavy game tho, I literally had to upgrade to 32gb ram to run this game, because it would refuse to start with 16gb ram even with 8gb vram GPU. Ps. I agree, winter arc was pretty good, especially when you finally get to play as Ellie, her sequences were nice change of pace. I wasn't too crazy about that DLC, it was descent and it had some fun dialogues, but it didn't really add that much to the main game.
Love when gameranx shows love to the big AAA games like this, as well as all the lesser known ones in most other videos. Still need to play Witcher 3 and RDR2!

Gotta say that minecraft does have the mindboggling prestige of having overtaken tetris as the no1 selling video game ever, but can see why it isn't in this list. Could have been an hoborable mention for the sheer madness of sales numbers and the crazy stuff people have made, stuff like the dude who made a redstone build to actually play freaking doom, in it.
I remember going to a midnight release event at my local GameStop for Dying Light and literally no one else was there, so I wasn't expecting the game to be all that great. Granted it was a slow start for me. I wasn't feeling it right away but once I leveled up a bit the game really opened up, and really turned in to one of my all time favs. Dying Light 2 was good, I liked it ok but man the first one really got the blood pumping at night. Dying Light 2's nights don't give me nearly as much adrenaline.
nights in dying light 2 are like a causal adventure game. dying light 1 nights however turn the game into a horror game. i love it, but it's still terrifying.
I’m old enough to have memories playing gta 1&2. The freedom of just going with it like accidentally killing someone and then instantly becoming the most infamous mass murderer is too satisfying 😂
The mario bit was hilarious. Super Mario World is my favorite. SM3 is close but can't beat the SNES. I just looked it up and both games kinda came out at the same time. It's wild. I thought SM3 was older. I guess one was the last game of its gen and the other was a launch title.
Tlou is one of those games that every now and then you watch a clip of Joel or Ellie on RUclips and you just decide in a split second that your gonna replay the game , And the cycle goes on and on
I have enjoyed 11+ playthroughs of RDR2 and got so OP that I could just breeze through everything willy nilly. It's the greatest game I've ever played and my only regret is becoming too good at it to enjoy it the same way as earlier times.
The sheer amount of hours i spent in Dying Light just standing next to a spike wall, throwing, kicking, and otherwise shoving zombies into it are astounding. Number 1, it's just fun, and number 2 you can loot the zombies for any number of scraps that you either sell or use for crafting. Those walls, and a couple of perks in the perk tree, can really break the game in terms of money, materials, and combat difficulty. Still fun as hell though, wish i could get into the 2nd one...
Its really feels weird that these games you're talking about are now 8+ years old. When it feels like last week I was rushing home from school to get some quick games of domination on Mw2
Ohh THe Witcher 3...back in 2015 made my ps4 be a worth buying..one of the best open world games for sure! DLC's were insane too,so much content i don't know if any other game gave us such content
I dont know why but i just couldn't get into witcher 3. I think around that time i was just tired of dialog trees. After years of rpgs with dialog trees i just wanted to play the game and not have to really interact with the narrative part. Especially when every rpg got so damn long winded with it..
Love your videos! Since you rank games, in your videos, it would be helpful if you also put the title of the game up on the screen whenever you announce them. As I’m sure I’m not the only one who is newish to gaming and who watches your videos to get new ideas for what games to play next. And I think you assume the people who watch your videos already know what game you’re talking about. Either way, thanks for making them!
One thing Falcon doesn't mention which makes the Mario and Zelda sales numbers even more impressive is they were only Nintendo console releases. Imagine them being released on all platforms. I've exclusively played PC since the N64 and I imagine there are plenty of others out there who only play one platform whether that's Xbox, PC, or Playstation.
I highly recommend Dying Light to anybody who hasn’t played it. Fantastic game with a decent story, and for my fellow collectors out there. Plenary of stuff to collect!
I hope they release a Directors Cut of The Last of Us Part Two on the PS5 and PC soon! I'm still waiting for the Next Gen update for Fallout 4 to release, I am honestly starting to lose interest it's taking so long.
For all the people constantly complaining about how ES6 or GTA 6 will never come out, consider this, how long does it take to do something to the highest possible quality?
Red Dead redemption 2 took it to the next level, The amount of attention to detail is insane, The story and acting is phenomenal

love falcon impressions of mario lol
😅🦅
Being developed by one person, I was hoping Stardew Valley would make it on this list lol would be interesting to see Falcons thoughts on it.
Actually the GOAT. Everyone thinks I'm trolling when I say that. Oh well mfs, their loss lul.
well stardew valley cucked me out of the platinum trophy when i accidentally skipped the community centre cutscene and the hero of the valley achievement bugged and wouldnt pop. EFFING stardew valley!! But other than the bugs its a very cute and relaxing game, especially the first playthrough!

The fact that R* abandoned Red Dead Online even after the game did so well.
I hope they are too busy making GTA 6
@@sigmashorts3234 that’s not why they abandoned it, it’s because they were too busy milking GTAV online :/
I love how he talk about videogames, he takes me back when I was younger and used to talk about videogames with my friends in school for hours, such a warm feeling. Nowadays I cant get to see them so often but I can always count with Falcon!❤
I cried like crazy at the end of TWD. My fiance came home and thought someone had died... he did. Lee was a good man. He's one of my all time favourite videogame protagonists. Beautiful story, just... heart wrenching. I felt so horrible for Clem, losing everything over and over again.

20:27 Rockstar missed an opportunity by not releasing a next-gen version of Red Dead
But dying light 2 is ass
Regarding skyrim most of those glitches had been patched especially the bucket trick you can't place anything over a shopkeeper's head they will walk away causing it to off the hidden inventory chests that you could access specifically Dawnstar are no longer accessible. With that said, I have over 2600 hours and skyrim is my number one game
This list has my favorite 3 games on it.
RDR2, GTA V, TLOU
The details in all 3 games are amazing.
what are you on about, gta 5 barely has any details, every npc in rdr2 is literally a person unlike in gta 5, rdr2 is the most immersive game ever made, gta 5 is so ass compared to it, overatted

Lmao no
The more I think about it, the more I accept people have different tastes than me.
It’s crazy how no game has bested RDR2. Just shows the level of commitment and passion by the devs. I wish we were getting RDR3 before GTA6.

RDR & RDR 2 saved my sanity during the lockdown days and I thoroughly enjoyed the series. I must had spent 5 to 10 minutes just playing and looking at the mud. 😎👊
To this day i have not played games like RDR2 and the Witcher 3 .Not a single game made me feel what i felt while playing this two absolute masterpieces especialy the witcher 3 because i am more of a fantasy freak .
Falcon voicing Mario is not something I realized I needed in life 😂
That Mario impression? Chef’s kiss. 😂
The Last of Us Part 1 still brings me to tears in more than a few scenes. The Winter Arc will always get me
Are you a girl?
@@J.J.Jameson_of_Daily_Bugle lol its just an average game. Play metro exodus, it is ten times better.

As a new Dying Light player, this game is a blast (considering how overrated zombie games at the time)
Even with low expectations, i can see why Dying Light is a hit just by doing things
I love almost all of these games! Great ones for sure...Legends! And my friend was the voice actress for Tammy Aberdeen, so I have an extra reason to love RDR 2!
Thats awesome One the best encounters im the game she did a great job.
Hi Falcon, its folks lol
thanks for the video. really enjoyed it
Falcon’s suspicious denial that *he’s not like those people* and the Mario impersonation made me laugh throughout 😂

R* has been doing Red Dead 2 dirty, while it being a gold mine of opportunity for them.
I think I read couple days ago, that Skyrim has sold over 50 or 60 million copies, which is a lot more than what I would have guessed.
how can you forget minecraft in a list like this? should be the number one spot honestly xD
Rdr2 is my top 3 of all time, and it kills me that most couldn’t get passed the first hour and a half.
The mario bit was hilarious.
Super Mario World is my favorite. SM3 is close but can't beat the SNES.
I just looked it up and both games kinda came out at the same time. It's wild. I thought SM3 was older. I guess one was the last game of its gen and the other was a launch title.
Tlou is one of those games that every now and then you watch a clip of Joel or Ellie on RUclips and you just decide in a split second that your gonna replay the game ,
And the cycle goes on and on
I have enjoyed 11+ playthroughs of RDR2 and got so OP that I could just breeze through everything willy nilly.
Gta 5 was also the only 1 that was fully supported for 10 yrs and was sold 3 different times
It’s crazy as a kid, ocarina of time became my favourite ever game. Now, I haven’t played the previous 2 Zelda games
I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans we can get up to in Starfield.
oh you are in for a treat .......LOL
Its really feels weird that these games you're talking about are now 8+ years old.
When it feels like last week I was rushing home from school to get some quick games of domination on Mw2
Honestly surprised they didn’t do Minecraft
Ohh THe Witcher 3...back in 2015 made my ps4 be a worth buying..one of the best open world games for sure! DLC's were insane too,so much content i don't know if any other game gave us such content
I dont know why but i just couldn't get into witcher 3. I think around that time i was just tired of dialog trees. After years of rpgs with dialog trees i just wanted to play the game and not have to really interact with the narrative part. Especially when every rpg got so damn long winded with it..
We need more of Falcon impersonating Mario in our lives
Love your videos! Since you rank games, in your videos, it would be helpful if you also put the title of the game up on the screen whenever you announce them. As I’m sure I’m not the only one who is newish to gaming and who watches your videos to get new ideas for what games to play next. And I think you assume the people who watch your videos already know what game you’re talking about.
Either way, thanks for making them!
RDR2 was way ahead of its time absolute classic.
I love Red Dead Redemption 2 more than GTA5 ...... I hope for a part 3 🤠
I thought the "duh" for number one would be Minecraft, weird it wasn't talked about but Dyling Light was.

I highly recommend Dying Light to anybody who hasn’t played it. Fantastic game with a decent story, and for my fellow collectors out there. Plenary of stuff to collect!
RDR2 is hands down the best game I've played and the best game I've seen and heard about. That is what games should be.
I love gta 5 for the campaign
Never understood how rockstar never put out any dlc for red dead 2. Such a deserving game and it feels like they just straight up abanded it.
I love how Witcher 3 is always top on almost every list, it’s truly the best game

I hope they release a Directors Cut of The Last of Us Part Two on the PS5 and PC soon! I'm still waiting for the Next Gen update for Fallout 4 to release, I am honestly starting to lose interest it's taking so long.
The Last of Us is the most hyped turd of a game ever. The gameplay in the first one was dumb dumb dumb. Screw that waste of a game.
