The Dan might have the most powerful engine and best power to weight, but my beloved Azov 73210 has rear steer and four more tyres to grip, firmly cementing it in #1 spot for me personally. I'll absolutely use the Dan for more than just crane duties though.

I've used the Antarctic to pull trucks across the River on Mine contract. It worked really good. But its a tippy boy I still like it. Probably gonna use it more often
Mudrunner is my OG (didn't have a pc to play Spintires), but Snowrunner is miles better. You can still very much enjoy Mudrunner before moving to Snowrunner, but you won't want to go back afterwards.
Hell ya you’re gonna love it. Best to both explore for upgrades and fix obstacles/bridges first. Try not to look up the upgrade locations for maximum fun :)
Try to get the $25 Season Pass. WELL WORTH IT. There's another map/truck phase left AND an expansion that hasn't even been fleshed out to go and it's already worth it. It's basically like buying a whole 'nother game.
same with the cat ct681, it already comes with the most powerfull engine stock, the Si-8V/2900TTA (another exlusive engine). 2100nm output (100 less than that of the 49x engine) but it also weights 800kg less and both got a liftaxle.

Kolob 74941 despite not having a crane or any other add-ons is #1 truck in my opinion. I’ve never gotten it stuck, and it can haul pretty much everything. No crane? No problem, just carry a scout with a crane (there’s one just forgot name) and you’re good. Only downside is that it’s very slow, but at-least it keeps that speed despite pulling or trudging through mud, ice, or snow. Recently pulled a massive full 5x slot trailer and another trailer attached with a friend on that trailer through snow and junk and it literally didn’t gain any speed after i disconnected it. Long paragraph but all in all Kolob 74941 is best imo.
But one thing is sure. Royal has some interesting quircks. When other trucks bog down because of wheel spin, you actually need to floor it with the Royal to get out, and it's all around just better to put it in low+ or high and just let it go
Bravo 👏 i needed to see that as im new to the game like a few weeks and im learning all the important aspects of the game and the trucks. Understanding the engines and all the upgrade parts helps me choose the right teucks for the environments with alot less flipovers and damages.
I am really curios if its possible to find out how much cargo ( concrete for example ) you can get stacked on trailer packed and unpacked togheter so u have a massive trailer load and then see if you can drive

@@sennevandyck9437 I actually tried this and if you stack and then pack the load any excess will be lost. However if you fill the trailer, pack it, then double stack... just like sd1one said... you can drive but it will fall off eventually
Also I had 2 missions side by side that required 6 load spots. I filled the 5 spots on the trailer. And then I self loaded the 6th and kept the crane attached to it. Worked like a dream other than it swing like a mad man XD
@@codyg9979 i nailed it today to load 2 concrete plates (4 slots) onto the fleetstar (2 slots) and while going up my front wheels almost never touched the ground and i almost managed to roll it backwards even with the large overhang of the lmflatbed + crane

Most powerful truck I've come across so far is the p16, its never not been able to pull anything. It was also the only truck I had that could pull the Derry Longhorn out the river in Alaska, the huge CAT couldn't even do it.
you obviously haven't tried kolobs...I know from personal experience that koblobs are better at pulling stuff than P16..not only they've more powerful engine but also has AWD and better Power to weight...P16 is good but sometimes when it's front wheels are jamed somewhere on rocks, etc it just start asking for a winch.
How do you get to the Game files in Snowrunner. I've looked in the local files but cant find the xml's for the trucks. I want to make a new engine excusive to the Derry Longhorn 4520 so it is actually useful.
The Navistar 5000 MV is a Military Heavy Hauler, it'd make sense that it weighs more than the Twinsteer if the one in game was modeled under the assumption it had military light plating on it. Which makes no sense in a civilian hauling simulator
I don't get this power to weight thing. The Pacific P16 has a low power to weight ratio, but it is a beast. While the P16 is a beast, the P12 is pretty letargic, and both have the same power to weight ratio.

both azov 8x8, all vorons, tayga, both kolobs, new bandit and the one you mentioned.... they all are good... basically most Russian trucks are good... while some are like less useful
I tried doing some Power to Weight charts before, factoring in tire size and number (including number of powered wheels), trying to find out the best truck. But there are some values that skew that comparison, like the grip ones for the body of the trucks, that is completely all over the place, and reduces the importance of the analysis. End numbers are not realistic at all, due to those artificial grip numbers.
Here we have an example of a Russian breed of player... they can only survive with the OP Russian trucks, as they have less skill than other types... (all jokes aside though, there are American trucks that you should give a chance, because there are some that are better than the Russian trucks, like the twinsteer)
well, personally I always try to use all trucks in game but maps like yokon region where there's just infinite grind, I use best trucks after some point because new missions are kinda troll
Where do you get torque values? I mean there are torque values in truck engine files in hundred thousands but those doesn't mean anything to real life torques.
The main reason the P16 feels so much better than the P12 is the special tire set it gets, they have much higher grip in heavy snow or mud than any other tire in the game (likely given for balance since it's the only heavy truck that doesn't have AWD), and I find that even the P16 runs out of power sometimes with the special objective trailers or the new large semi trailers.
It's just a traction issue as said before when the p12 hits mud or whatever it spins its tires which causes it to drop to 1st, p16 rarely spins its tires so it'll sit in 5th a lot longer. They both run out of power where the wheels wont spin at all in the same circumstances tho.

P2W is nothing on its own as there are other parameters like truck weight and overall surface area

packed and unpacked cargo have different weight.. basically you can stack as much as you can but excessive cargo will fall off sooner or later
