dude, can't thank you enough - really helped us out! for those of you coming here trying to wrap your heads around this game: another great help was boardgamegeek's concise rules reviews and faq missed a chance for the imperials to fire off bombardment lasers after chaos reinforced the red units
It's rather frustrating that the 2 parts of the palace don't fit the units into their spots. You'd think on the very first scenario they'd have figured out "hey if we try to put 5 people into this space, they don't fit".
Hey thanks for this, it's very, very helpful. Both my son and I are have been learning the game, but a little confused over the actual battle system. Any chance you can do a battle specific video? Just a little confused.. ie: One card said to rout 2 opponents and remove them from battle, but are they also inflicted with the damage by the same card? A video would be really appreciated!! Thanks! :) Dan NZ
when landing on a port the imperial player has the chance to shoot down your units before they land with the defense lasers that are adjacent to the space port.. The imperial player takes 1 bombardment card for each unit being landed at the port.
Also all traitor forces that are defeated are discarded for the whole game. The imperial player can recycle his units since some event cards allow the empire to get reinforcements.
I thought I had only level two black bases left after I first put all the chaos units on the bases but 8 of the units I had put on level one bases should be on level two bases. Its very easy to get those little chaos units mixed up but there are slight differences between the level one and two units. As for the rules, this game confuses me. A lot of the terminology and word phrasings befuddle me so I am super glad you did this video. :)
hey man! great vid. just got horus heresy myself and my brother and I are trying to figure it out. just one comment this far: i think you can't corroupt units in fortified areas. cheers.
you can corrupt units in fortified areas as long as they are Imperial Guard infantry of Tank units. I always try to corrupt the army units with Defence Lasers in them!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I bought this as I love all things Horus Heresy but to be honest the rules baffled me. This is awesome!
