    Coming right along! Yeah, I've used the cut-n-but technique several times. Real time saver. As for getting a perfect grind on your welds, I learned from someone to do two overlapping tacks (the second while the other is still red hot) and then shoot air on it to cool. That should grind off without as much pitting. I say all of this, but my welding is still about like yours. I usually have to make two or three passes.

      @@FixItScotty Yes I need to slow down a bit and use air to cool the welds. I keep meaning to do it but I don't lol. Thanks Scotty !

    I was taught at Tech to cool the welds with a wet rag! I only ever keep an air line handy incase of a fire! Either way your doing a great job & your getting it done Stephan Congrat's Mate!!

    Good job sir I had problems welding up Sallie Mae patience is not my strong suit I warped many pieces and had to try and fix with hammer and dollie made some worse some better😢 I'm trying to have as little filter as possible

      @pstreetgarage7304  2 месяца назад

      @@mr.eswatchreviews Yes. My problem is I need to slow down. I found the warping wasn't bad on the Old Comet because the metal was thick. It's pretty thin on this bus and those big walls are flat. 😱

    Hi Stephan, Sorry for the late respons, However I saw the wole video for to days ago but did not have the power for a good comment. So I will try now,You did make great progress with finishing up the longwall and the sheet repairs💪🏻, Im just not sure did you welded the longwall direct on the upper part or did you made a split and welded in between these, as you did with the smal padges.!!How ever nice work and well preformed.Greetings.Hubertus.🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱☮🇨🇦.

    I think if you have an air compressor you can spray air to cool it down as you weld. Check out ACs Garage.

      @ yup and always use a dolly if you get one behind what you are hammering. That will get the metal flat.
