I’ve had this due to my alcoholism, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. And the pain was physically the most intense sensation I’ve ever felt, it was 5 days or so out of a total of 12 in hospital where it felt like a knife was being stabbed into me and twisted around. I wouldn’t wish this condition on my worst enemy. 8 months alcohol free now. Thank god
Me too. Never got diagnosed yet but you’re right. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. One year alcohol free cause like you said, it was the straw that broke the camels back. Been an alcoholic and a smoker since age of 13. I’m 54 now and I’m getting this every three months now. Still smoking though. Gonna quit the fatty foods and sugary foods. I get cravings for sugary snacks when feeling better and this sets off my diabetes even worse
My brother had an acute attack last night, along with kidney failure. So now he's on opiates for pain and needs dialysis. He said he won't stop drinking and smoking. He's 38 with two little girls. All we can do now is pray for his soul.

Found you by accident but subbed straight away. I got chronic pancreatitis since 2010, its Fukin,' shit. Got another surgery in a month this one will be the third time that they will cut me open right across my upper abdomen, then drain the cyst on my pancreas, cut away the dead pancreas tissue which has gone necrotic due to the a!most complete blockage of my pancreatic and bile ducts which are having stents put in to held them open then they are going to attach some small intestine to the cyst somehow so when it leaks it drains into my bowel instead of my stomach and I should be less nauseous .also 3 keyhole surgery's on my panc and loads of tubes shoved into various holes. I used to be 16 stone before I got I'll I'm now 11 stone 2 pounds can't work, can't sleep eat or even have a normal shit in the fkn morning.. To steal someone else's words, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Just realised that this is my wife's tablet I'm not her I'm her husband on her account by mistakes I'm word play, check out the great playlists iv got on my channel so basicly life's a bit shit right now but if your at rock bottom the only way to go is up from there. I had pancreas divisum a congenital defect of the pancreas-I have been through hell from it. I wasn't diagnosed for years and I wish I had been given enzymes to ease its discourse. I drank like many people do in their younger years but wasn't an alcoholic until my pancreas pain was so bad I drank to avoid opiates and I know that sounds ridiculous but I was in a mess. I didn't do that long though I got my self together and put it in remission but it came back even as I ran everyday and took care of myself.
I had a whipple with ait in 14 and I was an inflammed mess for 5 years than last year my body calmed down after I was given Iron IV and started an insulin pump. I take enzymes, don't eat much and will be on something for pain-forever. I still have chronic nerve damage from the years of pancreatitis that hurts when I eat sometimes. The body misses the organs and your nerves were damaged. I wish I had better news but this is honesty at its core. I am feeling 'healthier' the more time goes on. People with cancer have less issues with pain after bc they don't have the years of chronic infection and irritation from chronic pancreatitis.
Please manage your diet and watch your alcohol intake people. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS. Its ten out of ten pain. Absolutely unbearable. Take care of yourselves.
I've been diagnosed with this at the age of 3 this was back in the 90s and doctors had no clue how I got the disease. I pray that nobody goes through this, it's horrible and it sucks when you really need pain meds and in today's society doctors are being hung for prescribing opiate medications.

After 25 years and over a dozen hospitalizations I know the pain of pancreatitis. Let me note: i a do not drink alcohol and do not smoke. Apx 6 yrs ago I was diagnosed with diabetes (as well). My illness is suppose to be hereditary. But, genetic testing has given no answers.
Hereditary pancreatitis here and its a nightmare! So much pain and a lot of nausea and throwing up

Really need to start adding congenital conditions such as Pancreatic Divisum to education regarding the pancreas as I know its not-I have a RN background and have PD so severely I had to have mine removed almost died. I ignored a dull pain that wasn't really that painful but just annoying on my upper left abdominal region, then I ate 2 huge cheeseburgers and now this pain is so bad, I can't take it anymore

I kept telling the doctors of this inglamed under right rib from the mid right front. I geel something swelling. I am in pain.. anyone with the native background even one fourth will have problems with the pancreas. You have to keep a strict diet know what to eat and not to eat to keep a good eye on your own pancreas more like a good knowledge of your pancreas. Cuz you'll have trait through your pancreas will get older faster than normal people. I stayed on a diet to stay off of heavyweight but sometimes you get off of that diet you may not gain a lot but it matters stay on your strict diet eats what's good for you

I have been fighting pancreatitis for 25 years already now it's chronic . I was on the transplant list to get into the pancreas I got turned down buy USC I got turn down by the University of San Francisco I got turned down by UCLA they said I'm too old they only do transplants 50 and under don't know what else to do take care of myself the best way that I can,

most importantly, does it act up when you start to get hungry?
I think cellphone radiation and how we hold them when typing or watching videos my be a factor... we tend to hold them right in front of where the pancreas pain is located

There's a cure it's called taking your pancreas out you can live without one it's 2020 not 1902 ...you just take insulin shots daily when you have no pancreas

I suffer chronic pancreatitis. I can only half eat once a day. The doctors don't know how mine come about. High doses of creon everyday. Just miserable everyday. 😩

My situation was similar to yours. Then a gastro Dr.did an ERCP to place a couple of stents in both ducts. I have it done about every 3 months, and I've been able to EAT! again,and wean myself off the pain pills. Don't know how long it will remain a successful and effective treatment, however. But I'll take it for now. You might look into it, friend. This disease is foul.

Every time I ate too much.
I got a hard pain in my center left side of my belly. Around the left center where my center rip cage meets my stomach region. It is a dull pain that comes and goes. I’ve have also been going to the bathroom at odds times. And lost a lot of weight so I’m starting to think I might have this. If so I’m kinda cucked at this point. Rip. 👁👄👁
