Hey Brian, we have an opportunity available to you if you're looking for mentorship. You can check it out here: www.contentcreator.com/6-figure-live-streamer With that said, everyone has to start somewhere! What's your biggest obstacle to success right now?
When a client wants to sign with you, do you charge a deposit based on the estimate before you begin pre-production work? Also, I am curious about the contracts you have them sign. I assume there are liability waivers in case - say - the Internet completely goes down during the event?
Yes the deposit is based on the quote given and then adjusted on final invoice for any over or under. Yes the contracts have them agree that we are not responsible for things like the internet going out or malfunction. These are all things a good lawyer will help you write in.
very useful video Thanks! I'm watching from Iraq. prices are way different here clients still haven't understood the value of live stream, for the example, you gave I would charge a total of 1,000$ we get paid by the day not the hour so it's the same rate whether it was 2 hours or 10 hours event. a lot of the time my clients want the price to go down so I explain that these prices are final because it's high quality but I have a more budget-friendly package although it's average quality and I explain that I use different equipment and staff so they understand the value of each package.
As a fellow Marylander, I'm looking to transform my freelance LLC (mostly streaming now due to COVID) into a full-time business and leave my Federal job behind. I will take a look into your course offerings. Thanks.
Hi Zephan. I live in the Silver Spring area. If you need a camera operator please let me know. I work a Media Service Technician in MCPS schools and have some experience with audio, video.
That's just scary! But that's what my December usually looks like! Gotta get those tax write offs! $48K on a new truck for all the gear, about $3K in Aputure lighting, 2 new MacBook Pros ($4K), 1 Mac Studio ($3K) so I'm probably at about $58K for the past month!
