When i worked on a pipeline company i went through tires fast. I’ve tried all of the AT and MT…those Toyo mt were shit..rocks ate them up and i had two blowouts before 12k miles…them and cooper at3 were the worst…the only tires i could run down to designated wear markers without blowouts or flats were the bfg ko2..mesquite trees and rocks couldn’t puncture them..tough as hell..
Love the Bowen customs tray/bed, I'd love one in a gloss black. I'd like to see something better for the rear, it looks unfinished and that plate provided looks like an after thought.
Obsessed over the full sozed rigs after getting my gmc sierra 2500. Gonna do a sas, bumpers w/ winch, a chase roofrack/rollbar and the sleeping set-up is tbd
Thats badass!!! Hopefully mine will kick that much ass in a year or 2!!! Just got my camper part mostly done, rest of the truck is stock atm... just switched to a superduty at the end of 2023, agte having 3 duramax's...
Great build. Missed opportunity on adding the Carli Trophy Hitch to move the spare underneath. I understand you'd have to mod the exhaust to fit it through.
Really an excellent "review" covering ground in a way rarely done. Really great stuff. Thank you! As others have said, I look forward to seeing the "camper" component deployed. Questions: 1) I have experience with Baja Designs lights. Love them. Why S2's underneath the frame rather than S1's ? Maybe they were "laying around" and available? 2) Overall the lighting kind of seems like overkill. What's the story on that? ("just because" is an OK answer) 3) I'd love to hear more about the air compressor / air tank selection over the standard ARB dual compressor unit. 4) given the commitment to a 37 inch tire, why the 17 inch wheels rather than 18? I have been cautioned by CJC that the 18's can cause problems with stones getting caught in the wrong places...they seem to be pushing me / others? towards 18's. I have a 2024 F350 diesel tremor I'm building out so these are pertinent topics. Thanks!!
1) Clients Choice for S2. 2) Clients Preference on what they want the lights for. They are not all used at the same time. The light bar with the Lp4's will cast light further down the road and decrease the shadows, but also the running lights on them allow for people to know they space of this vehicle as its on the road. 3) The Capability of the Oasis is more than double the ARB. ARB is designed to air up a small tire. But the Oasis Compressor can move more air quicker. We timed it at it was 7min 52sec to air all 4 tires from 20PSI to 60PSI. 4) Personal/Client Preference again. We like the 17in Bead Grip from Method its worked for us in alot of scenarios.
nice build! So, the S2 Baja Designs lights under the truck illuminate rocks or other hazards/obstructions. But how do you see that while driving? Is there a camera mounted down there as well??
In some cases you could run a camera under the truck but we typically use these lights to provide a wide blanket of light under the truck for whatever use the owner has. Ambient light at camp or to aid in spotting a technical trail at night whether it is a spotter on the ground or the driver can just get out and look for themselves without the need for a flashlight.
Extreemly well, We had one of these beds and did 500 miles in Baja and had no dust. The only water we have had get in was from a powerwasher at the carwash.
How come you didn’t do a high clearance exhaust? Also the hitch is pretty low/ stock. These trucks suffer more from departure angles than your typical mid size or jeep.
Because this truck will do more towing than it will rock crawling. If the client wanted a rock crawler we would have done a different platform. But this is a vehicle for a family and their camping trips and towing a trailer. Hence the build that we put together.
I would be concerned with exceeding the GVWR of a SRW 4x4 lariat... With the upgraded suspension components, AMP steps, 37s plus spare, lighting, etc. AND 2k lbs. in the bed as configured. Gotta be real close to 11,500 as it sits...if not over. I would be real cautious adding any tongue weight and staying legal on the road.
Bro, this is awesome, total overland-porn. I can't have anything this awesome since I live in an HOA with a 20-YO NAZI chick that comes the 1st Monday of the month to give me a ticket for a brown spot on my roof tiles or 11 blades of dead grass. Thank you for the nice build and video. Total respect.
@@azee4640 we are trying to achieve more sidewall height. This truck will see everything from rocks to pavement. The tire is more than stable enough and load rated for more than is needed even pulling a very large enclosed trailer.
I know that was a really random question and I just meant what style, I assumed they were yours, just worded it wrong. The truck is absolutely flawless - great job!
People underestimate a side step and say it's for the wife or whatever but how often have you had to stop and get out with a big lowspot under your door? Especially if you underestimated that lowspot, and were thankful no one saw you drop like a rock. But I wouldn't know about anything like that.
your right ! @@TAVLLC because every1 wants a 3500 to offroad 🤣😂. The first gravel road with washboards for 100 miles is gonna humble you. Should change your thumbnail to " The 3500 that Will Mall crawl any paved surface " . This is what the engineers like to call Form/Function . Its super nice looking tho .
Diesel in the desert is bad. I would have went gas motor. Besides, the new diesels all have crap EGR system like back in the 2000's. What happens when the truck decides to burn smog when you're parked next to a dry bush. I think clients have more dollars than sense sometimes. I may be wrong, but I'll NEVER buy another POS diesel. Looks awesome. That’s what you get when money isn’t a problem.
True that!
Brilliant workmanship, the kind that we have come to expect from TAV.
Thank you!
O man❤
This truck is so beautiful. I always wanted to convert it into a full size SUV with nice pilot seats. That would look more than Awesome ❤
Form and function...you sir,are an artist
Bolt on workmanship
This is my dream truck
Another great build 👌🏾
Appreciate it

Dream truck right here
Thank you!
Looks awesome. First thing you should've replaced is that powerstroke lol
Nice rig! And what is that song at the beginning?
Whats more badass than a full size trail rig?
Nice jacket!
Thanks! Fjallraven makes some of our favorite apparel.
Box needs central locking.👍👍👍
How well does the box seal off the elements, specifically dust?

lol
What brand is the roof rack
Carli for the win . This running the e-venture?
Yes, its the Eventure
Great set up. Not so crazy about the dog catcher or Oncor service truck look but it works.
Where are you located??? Could fifty ten camper be mounted on f350?
We are in Albuquerque NM. And yes it could. Check out our website and shoot us an email.

I would have liked to see how the Skinny Guy camper looks like opened up
We’ve got several other videos on our channel that show the skinny guy camper fully setup.
A full walk through is linked in the description
two spare tyres at the back must be added to look more cool and mascular....😅
Aussie style!

Who's jacket are you wearing?
Fjallraven Greenland
Why change from 18” wheels to 17” ?
More sidewall on the tire
@@TAVLLC Yeah I get that but what are you trying to achieve. If the truck is really heavy the taller sidewall is less desirable for stability.

Thanks.Im a month out from a full carli wheels and tires on my new f350 so Im tossing it around. Ill end up at 10,500 loaded.

Best looking YM’s for sure. The 2023 new front head lights, GM bed steps and other changes are a disappointment.
Needs more amber light 😆
It’s a flat bed with a camper and some box store tools
its not a flatbed, Its a bed replacement. The Boxes are part of the bed and provide strength and storage and the ability to slide a camper in the bed.
