25:45 That switch is probably to manually turn the radiator fan on. Every rig we've had, we have installed one of those so we can turn on the fan before a graded slope (ex: The Grapevine), that way the engine was cooled prior to adding the stress of the slope.
Guess they'll find out the hard way...

I work on waste trucks that are about this size. I’ve been anticipating this build/vid for a while. I sympathize with the struggles that come with working on cab overs. And them tires are no joke either, especially if you get a gash in the side wall. Good work fellas!

I was TIG welding and I couldn't get my dimes to stack, but after spraying some ALLOY ARMOR on the plate, they stacked up perfectly. Thanks ALLOY ARMOR.

I'd suggest putting some silicone grease on the lug nuts before putting on the spikes, as those spikes will trap water and rust out whats underneath
J560 connector aka 7-way. Link between cab and trailer. White ground, Blue AUX/ABS has constant power, Black upper clearance markers on trailer, Brown trailer tail and running lights, Yellow trailer left turn and hazard, Green trailer right turn and hazard, Red trailer stop lights.

I've been a diesel mechanic for a couple of months after previously knowing nothing(still got things to learn) but it's awesome to see you guys working on one. KEEP IT UP 👍
Aw man, I remember being a boy on the farm when one of our tractors ran out of fuel. It had this tiny hand-operated pump on the line that moved about four inches each way. And after adding diesel, you had to pump that little thing like 300 thousand times to get it primed. I learned that day that you _never_ run it out of diesel.

@@KhaoticKalmwe had a loader at work with an auto primer. It turns out that, if enough goes wrong with your machine, those auto primers also suck.
@@lilmancc35 kinda like auto windows… if something goes wrong you can’t just use the crank handle.

We had trash in the tank and a failing mechanical pump, so we had to use the auto pump every so often to reprime but it'd take forever because trash would just get stuck and make you have to start over, and there was no way to tell. Some nights we had to set there for 20 minutes getting it to reprime the system so that we might would be able to get through the night.

I’ve been waiting on the Ludwig collab ever since he started rocking the Big Time merch awhile back. Wasn’t sure if it was gonna be motorcycles or the Sambar, but man I can’t wait for that video.
Is it weird that my favorite series is the big rig? I just love seeing old iron fixed up and put back on the road. Taking a truck that was beginning to rot away and making it better than new is SO satisfying to me.

@@tannerfulton8320 Most people will not do a roadside service. Call like that on a split rim that requires a cage. But then again, being a heavy equipment operator I've seen plenty of tire guys fix repair and change a split rim tire on very large equipment with no cage. To this day.

A fully rebuilt and tuned D16Y8 with a freshly rebuilt and beefed up S24A transmission. We put it in, connected everything and turned the key…
10 months from removing the engine to putting it back in but it sprang to live like I just parked it for 10 minutes… damn I love her. 😍
Here’s some help with the 7-way plug wiring.
White-ground
Black-marker
Red-brake
Blue-auxiliary (constant power with key)
Yellow-left turn (yel LEFT ow)
Green-right turn (g RIGHT een)
Brown-tail (black and brown wire can be interchangeable)

$383 per tire is not bad at all. What is the mileage rating for those tires? 80k?
@@Whatwherewhy586 About that. depends on the brand but they're generally long life tires. a truck can do more than 100k miles in a year if it's busy.
I could get ‘em for $300 new. If you’re running crossovers and dynamic balancers you can get away with $200 retreads.

My first real job was working for Mayflower. We rode around the country for the first year in an 89 International Cabover with a double sleeper. I made hammocks out of straps and pads, and slept in the trailer.

A cautionary tale with the lights, idk about California but i was told when i was learning is: if the lights are there, they need to work (i was asking about chicken lights.) I think this would apply to your underglow as well since its cosmetic.

I'm not sure on their truck, but most have a lockout bolt so it can't fall down. Obviously not completely failsafe but probably safer than working under a car on jack stands tbh.
Same as a prop rod holding up a car hood, except it's a pipe. All is safe.

Of all the issues to have, hoses and hose connectors have to be the best scenario for a truck that expensive. Michael is a god of shock finding.
When I saw that K truck I was like NO it cant be! IT WAS! Never could have called that! This is the collab we needed.
