Hello everyone.. is the maintenance hard for those boats? The reason I am asking this question is because there is a common prejudice that the wooden boats are far harder to be taken care of in comparison with the fiber glas ones.. may i have your opinions regarding this subject.. epoxy is really a game changer here?

could have been a real gem if there was a teak deck.

Jason, the Folkboat has never been specified or built with a teak deck. The initial standard specification called for a painted cloth-covered deck. It was designed to be an affordable boat for ordinary people (pine on oak). "Pimping" it with more or less mahogany , was a way for the well off people to show off.
