Magical, lively and joyous. Master piece for aged 0 - 101. This is like medicine for the soul without the harmful chemicals effectively killed all depressions and mental illness. Bob Dylan and the musicians are the doctor. Play often and sing along ; or dance and stamp your feet. Share with others far and near. God bless all great souls who are the shinning light.
In Morocco my English teacher game me this whole album it was a book with all the lyrics and pictures of bob Dylan performing in budokan japon .early nineties it was just unbelievable gift ...
Make you happy .. and everyone joyous and happy too. Play this often and share it. This is like medicine for the soul without the harmful chemicals - this kills all depressions, all illness of the mind. Bob Dylan and the music is the healer.
I almost always like the studio version best - it's like, the original is almost always better than the cover, I guess. I will take Dylan any way I can get him tho. Studio or live. Always great, always takes you on a journey and lifts you (me) out of my body and circumstances.
I too enjoy studio version of most of his material however Dylan is the best at taking what is created in the studio and almost never plays the same song live the same way twice!!. That's his true Genius as an entertainer!!!.
@@trudy5963I love this version & the studio original, but the one that has my heart most is the 1975 version (bootleg #5 - rolling thunder tour). How does he recreate the same song in so many different wonderful ways?
Wonderful song that is actually from my age period. My favorite bob is late 74-76 or anything up to 66. But he knocked me out when came out with song and album. Then played in my home town on voting day at the Northrop at the u of m for Barack. He is always surprising me.
@@MrTambourineMan. Most definitely! I love this and several versions. As I've commented before about the Biograph album. It is there, where my favorite version is along with my favorite version of You're A Big Girl Now among more great outtakes. This is the first I've heard this one and the master never fails me with all his ideas and changes. Thanks Much.
I have heard a couple from this year's ago when the tube wasn't putting up his stuff, as is now, when it seems like I'm receiving all this new material and getting a new gift everyday. This past year has been just magnifficoo
Sorry..I meant that everyone was always putting his stuff up but you had to be quick or it would be gone in a day. I only own a little less than half his records and man, here I don't know which way to turn! It's been a hell of a party, folks thanks to TM and others. My mind is officially Blown..
I first knew this song through this arrangement. I was gifted twice when I heard the studio take. We will never be able to dig the fact of being contemporary to one of the most enigmatic, magical, grumpy (that for sure) and greatest artists of all ages.
From "Bringing It All Back Home" album released in 1965 and purchased by me at age 19. I was a part-time DJ at the University of Toronto radio station, and played the grooves off this record.
Bob Dylan At Budokan, 1978...
Overwhelming. Great song. Wonderful sound: fender plain guitar, harmonica and flutes... and that glass voice. I bought this album when was realised and still amazes me.
So I'm telling you guys as I've told any other subscribers, my 45-year-old son in my 20-year-old grandson have after 22 years agreed to attend a Bob Dylan concert with me. if any of you are going to the Fox on March 25th come find us.

It seens arranged in the 70s for an Eurovision Concert. By then, Dylan was way forward in newer styles… As long as somebody likes the arrangements (I don’t), its more that ok…
It's strange things about me i can sit on my own and hear me soul talk to me that's in voice best way to discride it. The strange thing is when I around our i can hear others people. The strange thing every one has one but thier voice are too small to hear ordinary the strange i hear mind and others peoples the strange thing is thier not moving thier lips. I find that's strange things to hear believes me it strange to feel and experience in life. I am reassured other feel and hear too. That's why my conclusion is that's strange and god is perfect odd way of living love your enemies forgive other and forgive yourself. How has not sin on earth is a reasonable explanation. One of the most gorgeous love songs of all time! A beautiful poetic tribute to Sara.
Born in 1992 named after Bob Dylan
#Best of the best
Bought this at the town annual May Fair when I was 17. This and a miniskirt. That must’ve been two months pocket money well spent.
Live in Perth,West Australia in the 70’S. A great moment in my life 👍🙏. Thank you Bob

And Hard Rain.
I agree. And his best live voice. Maybe not as raw and powerful as Rolling Thunder, but more flexible.

The very first inch of this song was actually published within the Bringing Back Home Album (1965), and was lesser folk-rock
My love she speaks like silence,
Without ideals or violence,
She doesn't have to say she's faithful,
Yet she's true, like ice, like fire.
People carry roses,
Make promises by the hours,
My love she laughs like the flowers,
Valentines can't buy her.
In the dime stores and bus stations,
People talk of situations,
Read books, repeat quotations,
Draw conclusions on the wall.
Some speak of the future,
My love she speaks softly,
She knows there's no success like failure
And that failure's no success at all.
The cloak and dagger dangles,
Madams light the candles.
In ceremonies of the horsemen,
Even the pawn must hold a grudge.
Statues made of match sticks,
Crumble into one another,
My love winks, she does not bother,
She knows too much to argue or to judge.
The bridge at midnight trembles,
The country doctor rambles,
Bankers' nieces seek perfection,
Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring.
The wind howls like a hammer,
The night blows cold and rainy,
My love she's like some raven
At my window with a broken wing.
