Ray please ware your mask, horse hair had lots of dust and who knows what else. We want you to be healthy, we appreciate Your art. Always take care and thanks.
That ox blood chair was a ton of work. Came out so nice. Was like building a whole new chair from scratch. It seems that with that much rework, it wouldn’t be considered an antique any longer. Everything but the frame was replaced with modern materials 🤷♂️
I think I would have went with a hammered copper back for the glass case. The lines are so simple that the hammered copper would have made the inside pop. It would have brought your eyes right to the inside and what is in there. A fine walnut finish for the outside would have made it more attractive.
I think Drew got a shocker when he heard the cost of the restoration of the monkey. He could not hide his sourness there hahaha. It was blantantly obvious. No wonder they cut that bit out.
“There is so much missing on this automata...” No. “this” indicates one object. Automata is a plural form of automaton. This automaton. Once again, it’s clear there was no voice direction or editing of the script. Sloppy.
i don t know who decided to put a pillow hiding the top of the chair when it was pictured with a fireplace in the background,no points for that move . and the pillow is ugly !
Eugh I HATE that scumble finish on that pink dresser. Honestly, the pink actually looked better than what they did to it. It looks so fake and the busy-ness of the artificial grain lines completely detracts from the clean lines of the original design. What a shame.
Why aren't the dealers shaking hands anymore? Is this down to the P.C brigade? Deals need to be made with a handshake, the old sign of a binding contract. Don't pander to wokeism, makes me sick. Human contact is so important.
Ray... Superb work! First-class upholstery...

This was very interesting and informative as to how you repair many old and a variety of items. Enjoyed it.😊
The improved casters on the chair really helped.
Love all the projects. Thanks for posting.

I'll have EHHHHHveryone know, that I successfully denied my OCD the pleasure of counting the number of 'very's this single episode has.
I love automata, but man, that harp playing monkey with the braids is the stuff of nightmares. Yikes!
Ray does some amazing work.

What's up with Drew's glasses? Lenses leaning out some goofy angle.

Greedy to ask 2500 pounds for that reclaimed cabinet.

Awful what they did to the dresser

Repeat a clip, repeat, and repeat again...
