She was actually going through an eating disorder at this time and talked about how painful it was to perform at that time. It’s extremely impressive how much she hides that. She’s a perfectionist. She’s even better now that she is healthy!
Can yall stop mentioning that at every turn it a very weird
@@fatehbousseniou3217 it’s not weird. He mentioned the way she looked and he obviously didn’t know about it. Just educating him. Jeez, chill out.
@@fatehbousseniou3217 @dolphinjess only mentioned it bc he didn’t know she had an eating disorder from Debut Era to 1989 Era. They’re giving backstory not being mean. Stop being offended on others behalf’s. Taylor didn’t ask you to be offended on her behalf.
He also said,"Taylor was fine".. he meant no disrespect and compliments her all the way around.
Yes she looks so healthy and she seems so happy, I love it
She's not a singer who writes her songs
SHE'S A WRITER THAT SINGS HER SONG
Exactly!!
Her lyrics are fire. 🔥
I heard Taylor say on a chat show, she has never and will never lip sync. She sings! That's a pretty great thing. Her performances always sell out and we can see why. There's a lot to admire about this woman.
She messes up too frequently to lip sync haha plus she plays acoustic so often
yes sir 😍😍😍
the way the "errors tour" became a thing among swifties where taylor messed up lyrics, guitar chords and mic issues, further proving that she doesn't lip sync.. ugh i love it.
She cracks me up. 😂 She's awesome.
DONT BLAME ME live from the rep tour pleaaaseeee. I stg you will love it sm. I have watched it so many times because I think her performance is so powerful and I feel like it’s a good representation of her stage presence like you saw here
I second this. ❤
I third this
I fourth this 😅
Do it, do it, please, it's unbelievable.
He reacted to this during the live, he just didn’t record it :((
Taylor's vocals weren't very strong until she got a bit older, they really got better in red/1989, and then when she recovered from her eating disorder and continued regular vocal training she's only gotten better and better. She's basically flawless on eras now. Just cos she doesn't have a big voice doesn't mean that she doesn't have a good one, or that it's unsupported. She's got 10/10 line delivery and her voice is only getter better with age. Its really admirable how much she's worked on what was previously a big weakness when she was younger. I'd recommend watching some of her great acoustic stuff from the grammys museum in 2015 or stuff from eras!
I think the transition away from country to "pop" or just whatever she wanted to do was a good move and really really complements her voice.
The Blank Space one is sooo cheeky and good
I am such a swifty nerd that when he said that her vocals were absolutely Flawless and that she was doing wonderful moving around the stage and singing, That really warmed my heart! As an OG swifty, I remember when her live performances were not necessarily her strong suit, at least in the vocal situation. But luckily Taylor is a theater girl at heart and can put on a show. So her vocals have very rarely gotten in the way of that. But it really warms my heart and I May or may not have cried a little bit When he commented on how awesome her vocals are. It just goes to show why she deserves everything that she has gotten!!!
At the end of the day she has enormous songwriting power and is supremely talented. It really can’t be debated.
I've always loved Taylor's voice since she rose on the country music scene. Sharp, but feathery, and also malleable enough that she can essentially perform in any style or genre with practice and being able to push herself. Her enunciation and control tone-wise and narrator-like is what make her stand out to me. I hear some songs like Greedy by Tate McRae, Boys A Liar by Pinkpantheress, or Gimme Love by Sia being played today and I can barely make out the lyrics they wrote themselves cuz the way they don't enunciate the words makes the listening experience unenjoyable.
That's what she sounds like live. I saw her live during Eras. She sounded incredible the entire 3 1/2 hours. I gave no idea how she does it!
I think she really feeds off of the crowds energy and I love it!!! She's a very authentic performer ❤
Lucky you! I believe that this must be a once in a lifetime experience!
I saw her in Vegas for her Era tour! Yes, I agree with you. She sounded amazing from start to finish for the 3.5 hour show! She looked gorgeous too while doing it!
Didn’t she jog to the entire set list everyday for months before the tour? Or was that made up?
@@Gafafsgshe did ❤
I LOVE that moment when people just suddenly "get it". I enjoy your reactions so much - after this you HAVE to do I Did Something Bad and DON'T BLAME ME from the Rep tour. She will impress you, I promise.
Agreed!
It’s one of my favorite genres of RUclips. 😂
Looove seeing people’s pre concieved notions about her just wash away! Literally my favorite part of non swiftie reactions
Watching you giggle over the fact you want to hate, but can’t, is so awesome.
Watching your open-minded and disbelief/shocked reaction during this video brought me so much joy! I think you’d really enjoy performance from her Reputation tour. Looking forward to seeing more reaction videos! Thanks for sharing!
Anddddd it sounds nothing like the recording. She completely transformed it for live!! Soooooo goooodd
Also, watch her performance of Don’t Blame Me. She takes you to church!
yes🙌🏻🙌🏻
She isn't as powerful as the other powerhouse vocalist out there but girlie can sing and her specialty is her songwriting ability. I think what makes her career in longevity is her music connection to people & storytelling. I'm proud of her, she's a hardworking woman!
The "We are never getting back together" 1989 world tour performance is amazing. She does a Rock version and her vocals are chefs kiss. And her playing the electric guitar.
That rock version is AMAZING AND ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMANCES EVER
When people say that Taylor is not a vocalist, what do they mean? That she is not Mariah Carey? Beyonce? Adele? No she’s not that kind of singer. Nor is she a mumbly indie hipster singer. She sings in her own clear voice that is meant to enunciate every single word she writes. She emotes. She does it often while moving around and/or playing an instrument. She puts flourishes here and there and has become very good at dynamics. To say she isn’t a singer is so wrong and I’m so glad you are recognizing it. Love your videos!
“Ready for it” Reputation tour, “Don’t Blame Me” Reputation tour, “All Too Well” Grammy performance, “cornelia Street “, “False God”SNL. ..Taylor live, whether acoustic or otherwise, is fire.
Definately all these, cmon please do live reactions. Pleeeeaaaasssseeeeeee!!!!!
Her SNL performance of False God was the beginning of my conversion to Swiftie.
I love seeing your journey to becoming a Swiftie! Remember, she may not be a classical vocalist (ie: Whitney, Mariah,, Bey, Ariana etc) but unlike them, she's a songwriter/storyteller first who has worked really hard to improve her vocals to better tell the stories that she writes! She also plays multitudes of instruments and is very heavily involved with all aspects of the production that gets put on to every song. And since the beginning of her career as a teenager, she has been the sole creative person behind how her albums look, how the videos are going to be, how the tours are going to go- she's a creative genius in every aspect of the word! In one song she writes "I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try" which perfectly describes her! Stop trying to talk yourself out of enjoying her hard work & you'll really enjoy what you discover! Her God given talent is her storytelling, which comes easily for her, but everything else that she does, being a great performer, putting on the best shows she can for her fans, just giving everything 120% comes from a ridiculous amount of hard hard work to get much better at the rest of her craft & is more than any other artist has ever done in my opinion! With all of her success, fame, records, & money, she is still humble and kind and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone in any Walk of Life wh😉o has met her directly who will say anything bad about her! That's why she's so loved-with everything she's earned & all of the success, she's still just a great human.
I refused to become a swiftie until I saw the All Too Well 10 minute version on SNL, it blew me away and I had never heard the song before. Then she dropped Midnights and I listened through the whole album and then started listening to her back catalogue, and I’m officially a Swiftie
This is exactly my story lol
the part where he put himself "on blast" like he said, made me subscribe! glad he's more open minded and is beginning to understand taylor's power.
It’s real you can hear her breathlessness. This was probably at the height of her ED so she was having stamina issues, which came out in her Miss Americana documentary. But she would never screw over her fans by lip syncing, she’s also got too much musical integrity
She said in her Time Magazine article that she trained for her concerts by singing the whole song lists while on the treadmill. It certainly has improved her performance and stamina.
What a legend. She sounds better than most artists nowadays.
She is singing 100% live
Please watch the live don’t blame me. She’s improved a lot since this preformance
Check out her NPR TinyDesk concert, and other live recordings to confirm to yourself - C'mon! wave your flag, we're all Swifties. 🎤
If you thought this was awesome, react to her performance of I Did Something Bad from the 2019 AMAs.
Dont Blame Me performance from the Reputation Tour is also one of her best vocal performances.
I recommend them both😊
please
I love seeing new Swifties in the making 😂😂 "you can't hate on something when it's actually good" tell them !
She is so talented. I am always impressed by her, she works so hard to deliver these amazing performaces.
Don't blame (Reputation live tour)
Out of the woods ( grammy museum) or from 1989 live tour
Cornerlia Street (live from Paris)
Those are great performaces to react!!
She prides herself on always singing live. I hitch you’ll see in the Eras tour. Cause she had her mic go out on occasion. During her surprise songs she would occasionally mess up the lyrics.
She is an incredible performer. What is sad/impressive during 1989 she was in the throes of an eating disorder. She’d black out during performances. I’m glad she has found her way to a healthy way of living. And the eras was AMAZING. As was rep
🤣 oh Nick you crack me up. The look on your face after you said Taylor Swift 🤣 “she know I ain’t no Swifty” 🤣 🤣
One thing I’m noticing and I think it’s great and shows how far she has come with her mental and physical health is she’s not breathless in her performances now. She’s a bit breathless here and I know she talked about in miss Americana how she thought it was normal to feel like she was about to pass out. She sounds amazing the performance is there but she’s so much better now.
I was the exact same because I didn’t like the sing-song sound of her somgs, like ‘We are never, ever getting back together.’ It didn’t help that the radio stations played those types of songs to death on the air.
Hear me out, though.
Imagine how genius it is for her to go from that Yee-haw flowery dress bullshit to winning 12 Grammys.
Her lyrics are legit fire. She has real depth to her songs that you notice once you manage to see (hear) past the reflective shiny surface. Or if you dare to actually listen.
Because of this, she appeals to so many different types of audiences and somehow manages to unite us all as Swifties.
Welcome aboard; you can sit next to me in the newbie section.
She’s been Doing Her Stage Work Live No Lip Sync since The Age Of 10!!
It’s amazing she had the stamina at this time bc physically and mentally she was at an all time low, but she doesn’t show it ever. Incredible.
Glad she’s over all that.
She absolutely puts on the best shows!!!
You should definitely react to her performance of Don’t Blame Me on the Reputation Stadium Tour, she goes all the way off and it’s amazing 😂
I was just waiting for you to hear her hit that high note so you can see she does have the vocals! Plus her being able to sing and dance while she's on stage... she's a performer! Please react to I Did Something Bad from the AMA's next!
A new Taylor reaction already?!? Awesome. Thank you for being authentic and open. I suggest the opening of the Reputation tour, Are You Ready…? Then Don’t Blame Me from the same tour.
Definitely need to check out the performance of never ever getting back together from the same 1989 tour.
I love live performances...I don't listen to alot of Taylor Swift music, but I'm glad I heard this.. She can sing. Great reaction☝️🤓
Wow Nick putting yourself on blast ! 😊 Great song and performance by Taylor…..keep them coming Jamie.
She legitimately sounds that good live. Seeing her live on the Reputation Tour, turned me into a Swiftie. A-MAZ-ING!!
Her growth as a writer, singer, musician and performer in the last 17ys is phenomenal. I also thought her beginning as a country performer was a bit too sweet but c'mon she was a baby. At 33/34yr old has seen so much improvement. But even in her early yrs she was great story teller.. The Eras tour of 3 1/2 hrs is Taylor on fire. All those sold out STADIUMS world wide. Now that is a force of nature. You are on your way to becoming a fan.
These older performances were awesome but the Eras Tour performances were perfection. The costumes, dancers, stage layout all of it was just perfect. I also think she sounds less "winded" now.
shes one of those artist i love more live than album
absolutely NOTHING makes me happier than watching people actually take the time to listen and watch her so they appreciate how amazing she is. watch her performance of don't blame me from the reputation tour or out of the woods from the 1989 tour. lifechanging
I saw her live... this is what she sounds like live... only better now that she's healthy. She performed and ran over half a stadium for 3+ hours.
You should check out Out of the Woods and the rock version of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together from the 1989 World Tour and Ready for It and Don’t Blame Me from Reputation stadium tour. Don’t Blame Me has the best high notes!
The rock version of we are never getting back together is a total mindblow.
Wooooooo!!!!! This made me so happy!!!!! I know you can sing wry well yourself so I get why Taylor isn’t in your usual wheelhouse but honestly I like a technically correct singer as much as you but Taylor is an ENTERTAINER! For someone who isn’t the best singer she had to bring something extra to the table and she always does. I LOVED this so much ❤❤
If you liked this I think you'll like "I Did Something Bad" from the Reputation Stadium Tour
Give in, dude, talent and creativity win out in the end. Resistance is (probably) futile. 😎
If you liked this live performance you absolutely have to react to the live version of we are never ever getting back together, it’s in the same essence as this one and more rockish
Well,
Hello there Swifty.
She wins all those awards every damn year because she works hard for them and EARNS them. Obviously deserving for all she puts into her art.
It's that energy man. Not enough artists have the energy she puts into every thing she does. It hits everyone when they actually watch or listen seriously rather than passing by and just making jokes.
Hi David! Totally agree with everything you said here! It's spelled Swiftie tho 😂. I correct the spelling with love!
Truly yours,
-another Swiftie (please don't hate me 😅)
@argentinaangel No no. You're right. Unfortunately my phone doesn't care. Somethings I can change back 3/4 times and I either give up or my phone still slips it in at the end. "Smart" lol.
Should react to Don't Blame Me from the reputation tour!
Baby. You are now a Swiftie. 😂❤. Welcome to our club. I’ll get you some TS pajamas for the slumber party.
Go listen to the Live Rock Version. Of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Awesome!
8:24 - I can tell you from experience, that even if the video you are watching is "edited" in some way, she sounds like this live. I saw her live during RED, 1989, Reputation & The Eras Tour. She has mastered a constant state of movement while simultaneously singing. And it's only gotten better, with each tour. Especially with the current Eras Tour, it's essentially non-stop for close to 4 hours. And she will have done this for, I believe, 151 concerts in total this tour. I highly suggest reading her recent TIMES magazine interview - it discusses how she prepares herself for such a feat. On that note, firstly, you gained a follower from this video & your first reaction video to her music. Secondly, I suggest you listen to All Too Well (Sad Girl Autumn Version). It's a slower, more melancholy version of the original. Which the fans decided was a hit, when her people didn't think it was. So she gave us the 10 minute version when she re-released RED (TV), along with the All Too Well Short Film. Also, since you seem to like her lower register, Mad Woman is great at showing that. Another all-around great piece of artwork, is You're Losing Me. I also suggest Castles Crumbling, as it shows her effervescent yet eloquently melancholic fluctuation between the lower & higher register between her head & chest voice. It features Hayley Williams, but there's no video. If you want to hear a faster paced song that is newer, I'd suggest Forever Winter. She has this amazing ability, to make sad lyrics matched with a faster beat (& vice versa), yet it fits so perfectly; Forever Winter is kind of an in-between for this. Another one, which I think is one of her most underrated songs, is Epiphany. Not only are the words so meaningful in a specific way, but it's written in a manner that makes it relatable for almost any hardship. Which is another specific aspect of her musical talents, & Bigger Than The Whole Sky also does this really well. I Don't Wanna Live Forever has a bit of everything, & the music video is gorgeous. Wonderland (TV) is another underrated song. It's fast & wordy, but the words just hit you. I'd also suggest all of her From The Vault tracks on 1989 (TV). The Moment I Knew (Taylor's Version), is also so beautiful. If you want a more raw version, I suggest watching the live performance of it as one of her Surprise Songs during her Acoustic Set at The Eras Tour, at Soldier Field. Here's a link, www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRvwdmGc/
If you want to watch her Eras Tour, without actually going, there is a woman that seamlessly streams all of her tour dates, which is @tessbohne IG & @tessdear on TikTok. The Eras Tour movie: Extended Edition, will also be available to stream starting December 13th. I know I suggested quite a few songs. I just don't comment on stuff hardly ever, but you seem so open to it, so I figured I'd make this comment worth my energy. I cannot afford to donate, so if you listen to these without providing content, I just hope you really enjoy them & continue to broaden your horizons on Taylor's artistry. If you really wanna delve into things, I suggest watching Folklore: The Longpond Studio Sessions on Disney+, as it delves into the personal details behind that album, & her creative processes. And if you're still feeling it, & want to get to know her more as an actual person, I'd watch Miss Americana on Netflix. I see that you react to lesser known artists & songs, as well. I don't see that a lot on here with your type of content. And I think that's awesome. So in conclusion, I'd suggest Proper Goodbye, & Not Leaving (Stripped), by Kansas City native, Crystal Rose. She's now pursuing a musical career in Nashville. Thanks for your content. I hope you help people to become more open to other types of music in general, before judging it without listening.
Tbh this was one of the songs that "converted" me to Swiftiedom... at the time after a series of bad relationships this was my theme song 😂😂 And this is a magnificent performance.
Lol... I didn't really get sucked in till, "REPUTATION.."
I liked some other songa of hers.. But "REPUTATION, " that's when I turned into a "swiftie."
Full-grown woman vibes! No more kid stuff. She transcended to adulthood, Taylor.
Loved the music videos, too! So, so good.
I knew you were in trouble when you tuned in 😈 I found your channel recently so I know you’ve already converted but it’s funny how people fail to get she’s not 16 anymore. She’s in her late 20s or 30 here & that was a bit ago. She just gets better and better. The song you probably hate is Shake It Off. I’m not a fan either but it’s the only song haters use by which to judge her with. Thanks for having an open mind & welcome to the rabbit hole you are on your way down.
I love her vocal changes since she came out. You can really hear on this current album (also on Midnights) how beautifully deep and purposeful it is. She is such a beautiful person and a bright beacon for this world. Thank you foe who you are, too lol. I really enjoy your channel! I didn’t notice the light from her hand lo
I’ve never heard this particular performance before. Wow!!
I love when reactions like this happen bc no one should underestimate Taylor. I’m a huge Swiftie and I still do that sometimes. You just gotta learn not to bc she always comes through.
The woman packs stadiums all over the world multiple nights in a row. Even if her music isn’t your thing, you gotta put some damn respect on her name!
It’s crazy after watching the 2.5hrs Eras tour! She’s so much stronger as a performer now! Plus w 1989 she was dealing with an eating disorder. Her growth is phenomenal. From 1989 to Rep to NOW!!! Growth.
This is completely live ❤
I just watched a✨Swifty ✨being born!! 🥰😍✨it was truly magical!!
🥹🥹🥰🥰😍😍😍 it was magical
She is 100% singing live, I’ve seen her from row 9, it’s her! Sure, she has back up support, like all big performers, but when you’re singing to 70k+ people, you need it. She’s amazing live, saw her in Minneapolis!
😂😂😂😂 I think you should thank your friend 4 suggesting it!!! Thanks Jamie!!! ❤'d watching you react to it! Try Ready For It...or Don't Blame Me
Her current stage stamina is perfection. TGREE HOURS AND 15minutes of it. Go see the Eras’s tour movie and get blown away. 🥰💖Bty. It’s real. Lol. Just hit the sun button and of course the thumbs up.
10min 30sec. Here’s where a Swiftie was born. It just lights up haha i love to see It
Yes, it's Real. It's a clip from her official tour "movie" video. They hired a company to record her performances during her tour. They recorded the sound directly from the mics, so you can hear it clearly.
New subscriber! Love to see it. Taylor has never been someone who got famous for her ability to belt, she got where she is because of her songwriting, work ethic, and her determination to get better. If you want the best of her songwriting, the albums folklore, evermore (folklore's little sister) and midnights are fantastic. If you're looking for the best of her vocals, Reputation is where it's at (Don't Blame Me live is great). But she is so much more than her vocals. She rips my heart out with her songs (usually the ones that never make it to the radio). And my girl PERFORMS. I saw her at the Eras tour, and the stamina is insane. My feet were dying, my voice was GONE from scream singing, and there she was, still commanding the stage in her heels and singing her heart out. One of the things I most admire about is her dedication. In one of her songs she says, "I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try." I feel like that's true for her singing. She's a natural at songwriting and stage presence, but she's had to work on her voice.
Anyway, I feel like a lot of people are doing reactions to her because it'll get views since she's so big right now. But you actually listen and notice details, something a lot of the others don't do. I love that you keep it 💯
For belting, definitely the Rep Tour Don't Blame Me and Ready For It.
Also: Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods (1989 World Tour)
Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams/Enchanted (1989 World Tour)
Then also: Cardigan and Exile from the Long Pond Sessions as well!
We are never getting back together. Live 1989 rock version!!
YES! Next you need to see Dont Blame me during reputation tour or eras tour
You have to watch Don't Blame Me from the Reputation Tour. Totally live and will blow your mind! You should watch some of the videos of her messing up live, which happens a lot, as proof she's absolutely live 😂 Watch the Long Pond Session to see a different side of her vocals.
More than anything, I appreciate your honest approach, and I enjoy watching you, and your delivery. If I could give him more, I would, and if I can at some point, I will. 🤗
Lmao I love this because I’d never heard you make those sounds before 😂🤣
Love your response and reactions!
Not a huge fan of her and her earlier music but I can’t help like some of her stuff and recognise talent when I see it. I like her duets and collaborations especially CMT crossroads. How many young female artists can say they performed with the likes of Def Leppard James Taylor (who she was named after) Mick Jagger Chris Stapleton Robbie Williams Florida Georgia Line Bryan Adams Nelly Ed Sheeran Justin Timberlake Zac Effron Alanis Morrisette Jennifer Lopez Ricky Martin and so many more. And she can play a guitar and a piano.
And yes she's always singing LIVE
love ur reactions !
Oh I love your reaction! Watching non swifties come to the realization that she is a real artist with talent is so much fun. I’ve watched all of your reactions now! Keep it going! Suggestion: Cardigan off of the Folklore Long Pond Studio -the same one you found My Tears Ricochet on! It’s so good!
I was at the concert and she was doing live vocals. She got stuck up a rafter on my concert so she was singing while trying to get down and pauses the whole concert to sing other songs outside of the tour set to entertain us while they fixed it and got her down
Late to this video, but if you watch ANY video from her surprise/acoustic songs from the eras tour (she has a view she released the live versions of) the mic is ON and you can hear her clear as day over the crowd. She's always been a live performer and never lip syncs. You would know that too from some of the songs she messed up during too lol. She can get pitchy like every other artist that performs live but she constantly delivers on what she's good at. She's never pretended to be a soprano that belts out vocals and that's what makes her authentic
I LOVE SEEING THE TAYLOR SWIFT EFFECT IN REAL TIME
It’s real bc she sings versions of songs on here that sound totally different from the original but also those growls and the pauses in the songs are for ad libbing and she’s added runs as well
The best way to tell is to listen to the studio version & compare the live
Thank you so much for your authenticity. ❤❤
She’s an incredible live singer!
If you liked this, you’ll LOVE “We are never ever getting back together live rock version”
There's that that excitement. There's my sub.
Nooooooo you didn’t leave in my favorite part and I asked like 5 times! 🤣 lmao I really wanted you to not cut the video until after you said “what do I smell, is that barbecue?!” Cause it was like immediately after the end to this hahaha
Enjoyed your reaction.
Something came outa her hand, bro! 👏🏻👏🏻 good eyes!
This was the first film produced by Taylor Swift Productions. There are several places in the film where they edit things in (and one place where they edit a dancer _out_ so she "floats" --- for magic tricks. bc, music (& love) is magic. This is in Sydney, Australia; she'd already done months on the US part of the tour. She's thinner here than on the Speak Now tour (2011) -- she talks about her starving herself at times after 2009 (VMA incident) and trying to force herself into a better head space in her documentary, Miss Americana.
Also, Taylor at the time of the tour was _not_ dating. She was hanging out with other women who were successful (actresses, models, singers). If you hear a reference to her Squad, it is about this time period (ca. late 2013 to 2015) bracketed by public relationships with Harry Styles (@2012/13) and Calvin Harris 2015/16). Then came a phone call from West, ensuing noise, and she hid out for a year before recording Reputation in 2017.
Your reaction was priceless 😅..Taylor had some swag !
You are in for such a treat as you explore the many, many, many sides of her genius. Welcome, we are happy to have you!
❤❤😊 Sometimes she leaves you speechless with her live performances. An amazing young lady with talent like no other.
I love seeing your facial expressions evolve throughout the video. I can’t wait for you to dive in more - especially from Rep Tour!
You’re one of us ❤ welcome to the swifty club ❤
I love your reaction! I'm keeping this reaction on replay!!!
