She was actually going through an eating disorder at this time and talked about how painful it was to perform at that time. It’s extremely impressive how much she hides that. She’s a perfectionist. She’s even better now that she is healthy!

Taylor's vocals weren't very strong until she got a bit older, they really got better in red/1989, and then when she recovered from her eating disorder and continued regular vocal training she's only gotten better and better. She's basically flawless on eras now. Just cos she doesn't have a big voice doesn't mean that she doesn't have a good one, or that it's unsupported. She's got 10/10 line delivery and her voice is only getter better with age. Its really admirable how much she's worked on what was previously a big weakness when she was younger. I'd recommend watching some of her great acoustic stuff from the grammys museum in 2015 or stuff from eras!

I am such a swifty nerd that when he said that her vocals were absolutely Flawless and that she was doing wonderful moving around the stage and singing, That really warmed my heart! As an OG swifty, I remember when her live performances were not necessarily her strong suit, at least in the vocal situation. But luckily Taylor is a theater girl at heart and can put on a show. So her vocals have very rarely gotten in the way of that. But it really warms my heart and I May or may not have cried a little bit When he commented on how awesome her vocals are. It just goes to show why she deserves everything that she has gotten!!!

I've always loved Taylor's voice since she rose on the country music scene. Sharp, but feathery, and also malleable enough that she can essentially perform in any style or genre with practice and being able to push herself. Her enunciation and control tone-wise and narrator-like is what make her stand out to me. I hear some songs like Greedy by Tate McRae, Boys A Liar by Pinkpantheress, or Gimme Love by Sia being played today and I can barely make out the lyrics they wrote themselves cuz the way they don't enunciate the words makes the listening experience unenjoyable.

When people say that Taylor is not a vocalist, what do they mean? That she is not Mariah Carey? Beyonce? Adele? No she’s not that kind of singer. Nor is she a mumbly indie hipster singer. She sings in her own clear voice that is meant to enunciate every single word she writes. She emotes. She does it often while moving around and/or playing an instrument. She puts flourishes here and there and has become very good at dynamics. To say she isn’t a singer is so wrong and I’m so glad you are recognizing it. Love your videos!

  • @megandelynn6114
    @megandelynn6114 Год назад +30

I love seeing your journey to becoming a Swiftie! Remember, she may not be a classical vocalist (ie: Whitney, Mariah,, Bey, Ariana etc) but unlike them, she's a songwriter/storyteller first who has worked really hard to improve her vocals to better tell the stories that she writes! She also plays multitudes of instruments and is very heavily involved with all aspects of the production that gets put on to every song. And since the beginning of her career as a teenager, she has been the sole creative person behind how her albums look, how the videos are going to be, how the tours are going to go- she's a creative genius in every aspect of the word! In one song she writes "I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try" which perfectly describes her! Stop trying to talk yourself out of enjoying her hard work & you'll really enjoy what you discover! Her God given talent is her storytelling, which comes easily for her, but everything else that she does, being a great performer, putting on the best shows she can for her fans, just giving everything 120% comes from a ridiculous amount of hard hard work to get much better at the rest of her craft & is more than any other artist has ever done in my opinion! With all of her success, fame, records, & money, she is still humble and kind and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone in any Walk of Life wh😉o has met her directly who will say anything bad about her! That's why she's so loved-with everything she's earned & all of the success, she's still just a great human.

I was the exact same because I didn’t like the sing-song sound of her somgs, like ‘We are never, ever getting back together.’ It didn’t help that the radio stations played those types of songs to death on the air.
    Hear me out, though.
Imagine how genius it is for her to go from that Yee-haw flowery dress bullshit to winning 12 Grammys.
Her lyrics are legit fire. She has real depth to her songs that you notice once you manage to see (hear) past the reflective shiny surface. Or if you dare to actually listen.
Because of this, she appeals to so many different types of audiences and somehow manages to unite us all as Swifties.

Her growth as a writer, singer, musician and performer in the last 17ys is phenomenal. I also thought her beginning as a country performer was a bit too sweet but c'mon she was a baby. At 33/34yr old has seen so much improvement. But even in her early yrs she was great story teller.. The Eras tour of 3 1/2 hrs is Taylor on fire. All those sold out STADIUMS world wide. 8:24 - I can tell you from experience, that even if the video you are watching is "edited" in some way, she sounds like this live. I saw her live during RED, 1989, Reputation & The Eras Tour. She has mastered a constant state of movement while simultaneously singing. And it's only gotten better, with each tour. Especially with the current Eras Tour, it's essentially non-stop for close to 4 hours. And she will have done this for, I believe, 151 concerts in total this tour. I highly suggest reading her recent TIMES magazine interview - it discusses how she prepares herself for such a feat. On that note, firstly, you gained a follower from this video & your first reaction video to her music. Secondly, I suggest you listen to All Too Well (Sad Girl Autumn Version). It's a slower, more melancholy version of the original. Which the fans decided was a hit, when her people didn't think it was. So she gave us the 10 minute version when she re-released RED (TV), along with the All Too Well Short Film. Also, since you seem to like her lower register, Mad Woman is great at showing that. Another all-around great piece of artwork, is You're Losing Me. I also suggest Castles Crumbling, as it shows her effervescent yet eloquently melancholic fluctuation between the lower & higher register between her head & chest voice. It features Hayley Williams, but there's no video. If you want to hear a faster paced song that is newer, I'd suggest Forever Winter. She has this amazing ability, to make sad lyrics matched with a faster beat (& vice versa), yet it fits so perfectly; Forever Winter is kind of an in-between for this. Another one, which I think is one of her most underrated songs, is Epiphany. Not only are the words so meaningful in a specific way, but it's written in a manner that makes it relatable for almost any hardship. Which is another specific aspect of her musical talents, & Bigger Than The Whole Sky also does this really well. I Don't Wanna Live Forever has a bit of everything, & the music video is gorgeous. Wonderland (TV) is another underrated song. It's fast & wordy, but the words just hit you. I'd also suggest all of her From The Vault tracks on 1989 (TV). The Moment I Knew (Taylor's Version), is also so beautiful. If you want a more raw version, I suggest watching the live performance of it as one of her Surprise Songs during her Acoustic Set at The Eras Tour, at Soldier Field. Here's a link, www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRvwdmGc/
If you want to watch her Eras Tour, without actually going, there is a woman that seamlessly streams all of her tour dates, which is @tessbohne IG & @tessdear on TikTok. The Eras Tour movie: Extended Edition, will also be available to stream starting December 13th. I know I suggested quite a few songs. I just don't comment on stuff hardly ever, but you seem so open to it, so I figured I'd make this comment worth my energy. I cannot afford to donate, so if you listen to these without providing content, I just hope you really enjoy them & continue to broaden your horizons on Taylor's artistry. If you really wanna delve into things, I suggest watching Folklore: The Longpond Studio Sessions on Disney+, as it delves into the personal details behind that album, & her creative processes. And if you're still feeling it, & want to get to know her more as an actual person, I'd watch Miss Americana on Netflix. I see that you react to lesser known artists & songs, as well. I don't see that a lot on here with your type of content. And I think that's awesome. So in conclusion, I'd suggest Proper Goodbye, & Not Leaving (Stripped), by Kansas City native, Crystal Rose. She's now pursuing a musical career in Nashville. Thanks for your content. I hope you help people to become more open to other types of music in general, before judging it without listening.

She is such a beautiful person and a bright beacon for this world. Thank you foe who you are, too lol. I really enjoy your channel! I didn’t notice the light from her hand lo

Loved your commentary about her performance and your reaction. She films one night on each of her tours for the live DVD and for posterity. This concert was filmed on her 1989 tour - entirely in Sydney Australia.

This is Ms Swift LIVE. She has the BEST equipment and as someone said she is a perfectionist. Her goal is to give her fans everything she’s got with every single performance at a concert. CRAZY, but it’s just how she is.

    Well,
    Hello there Swifty.
She wins all those awards every damn year because she works hard for them and EARNS them. Obviously deserving for all she puts into her art.
It's that energy man. Not enough artists have the energy she puts into every thing she does. It hits everyone when they actually watch or listen seriously rather than passing by and just making jokes.

she is a songwriter that sings, that's why her performances are so personal and powerful. I wasn't really into her until folkmore, but after realizing that her lyrics are smart, specially the ones that aren't singles, and what I said before, I started to appreciate her better. she's not a powerhouse vocalist but I respect what she's doing

I truly enjoy your reactions. I love how it feels like the cartoon with an angel on one side and a devil on the other!!! Taylor is a huge runner. She runs on the treadmill daily and sings her songs while doing it even back in 1989. She sadly was battling an eating disorder. She's had to stop reading about what's being said about her in the tabloids. She got the help she needed and was very honest about her struggles on Miss Americana and the heart broke Prince. Just a few days ago a man was arrested for trying to get into her Tribeca home. I have never known another artist who has to have so many restraining orders! She has bulletproof vehicles and never is far from a trauma kit her bodyguards carry on them to stop bleeding if needed. I'm a older swiftie who has attended a few concerts with my daughter. She can belt! She's so good to her fans and everyone who works for her. As a mom, I can not help but feel a sense of pride. I think you should need to watch All too well the short film and a song she wrote while her mom was battling cancer the 1st time. It's called Soon, you'll get better. She doesn't sing it live often. But she did for a cancer benefit and performed it from home with just a piano. It's a tear jerker! Welcome to the wonderful world of Swiftdom! ❤

I think I just went back and watched this for like like the 14th or 15th time. I watch so many reactors on their beginning journey with Taylor Swift just because I love seeing them understand who she really is versus the narrative and the radio pop songs, and all of that.
But I’m loving your reaction channel above almost everything else I watch because like you said you absolutely are authentic and I love this reaction so so much much!!! if I could give it 1000 likes it would’ve been done already!!! Loving the journey and love watching your takes on her and others. Thank you!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

New subscriber! Love to see it. Taylor has never been someone who got famous for her ability to belt, she got where she is because of her songwriting, work ethic, and her determination to get better. If you want the best of her songwriting, the albums folklore, evermore (folklore's little sister) and midnights are fantastic. If you're looking for the best of her vocals, Reputation is where it's at (Don't Blame Me live is great). But she is so much more than her vocals. She rips my heart out with her songs (usually the ones that never make it to the radio). And my girl PERFORMS. I saw her at the Eras tour, and the stamina is insane. My feet were dying, my voice was GONE from scream singing, and there she was, still commanding the stage in her heels and singing her heart out. One of the things I most admire about is her dedication. In one of her songs she says, "I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try." I feel like that's true for her singing. She's a natural at songwriting and stage presence, but she's had to work on her voice.
Anyway, I feel like a lot of people are doing reactions to her because it'll get views since she's so big right now. But you actually listen and notice details, something a lot of the others don't do. I love that you keep it 💯

I’ve never been big into celebrities, but she has brought her fans along with her on this journey since the beginning…so a lot of us feel like we grew up alongside her.

Something came outa her hand, bro! 👏🏻👏🏻 good eyes!
This was the first film produced by Taylor Swift Productions. There are several places in the film where they edit things in (and one place where they edit a dancer _out_ so she "floats" --- for magic tricks. bc, music (& love) is magic. This is in Sydney, Australia; she'd already done months on the US part of the tour. She's thinner here than on the Speak Now tour (2011) -- she talks about her starving herself at times after 2009 (VMA incident) and trying to force herself into a better head space in her documentary, Miss Americana.
Also, Taylor at the time of the tour was _not_ dating. She was hanging out with other women who were successful (actresses, models, singers). If you hear a reference to her Squad, it is about this time period (ca. late 2013 to 2015) bracketed by public relationships with Harry Styles (@2012/13) and Calvin Harris 2015/16). Then came a phone call from West, ensuing noise, and she hid out for a year before recording Reputation in 2017.
