    Usman had so much to lose and the fact that he was winning the fight until the very last minute made that headkick from Rocky a legendary one. "HEADSHOT, bang! Dead"

      Looking back at the Covington fight and the exact same thing almost happened. Colby sneaks a beautiful left head kick towards the end of the fight and lands perfectly on Usman except Usman eats that kick and eventually finishes the fight with 2 illegal shots to the back of covingtons head.
      Leon definitely took notes from that fight and got his own head kick to land flush

    What makes Fedor’s reign so great is that he went 27 fights in a row unbeaten. At heavyweight, that’s insane. There’s a reason why the record of UFC HW title defenses is 3, when guys hit that hard it’s so easy to lose. Going 27 in a row is ridiculous

      It would be utter insanity considering Edward's age and the length of time between his fights.
      Realistically, if Leon beats Kamaru twice that's all the legacy he would need for MMA immortality. Leon is the rightful champion but he didn't fight any killers to get the title shot. That's not to take away from his championship but now he will have to fight them if he keeps the belt.

      It was. A four way tie between Randy Couture, Tim Sylvia, and Cain Velasquez's second reigns; and Brock Lesnar. I mean, it makes sense when we talk about a division where you can go from world beater to Ngannou'd in one strike and actually making it to three defenses is a miracle. And also, I don't think anyone is making it to four defenses like Stipe did, even if they're not consecutive.

      Colby was still the clear cut #1 contender and Jorge was given the first fight as a short notice replacement and so he had that excuse baked in. It's not like Usman campaigned for it and at that time nobody was considered ready for a shot. Leon was still on everybody's shit list and Khamzat hadn't fought Burns yet.

    Another record Khabib fell short of: most consecutive rounds won. That record is still held by GSP, I think it's 33. Khabib made it to 32 before rd 3 vs Conor. As much as there's fair argument that Khabib SHOULD have won that round, officially all 3 judges gave it to Conor.

      Conor really screwed up the Lightweight division in a number of ways. He cheated Khabib out of the title shot against Eddie Alvarez, cheated Tony Ferguson out of an undisputed title shot, potentially cheated Khabib out of that record you just pointed out.

    Maybe you have done it already...but I would love to see a video on some of the "biggest record holders" in UFC history. GSP having stuff like the takedown record and control time record really adds some extra icing on top of the cake that is all of his other crazy records and achievements.
    I know records are always subject to change, and evolve, but you could always put "As of [month] of [year]" and talk about some of the people who are close to achieving those records.
    I just think it would be awesome to have a video record of some of the most high profile as well as some of the most obscure records that some UFC fighters have.

    7:54 Jose is not the only one, off the top of my head i can think of Khabib as well that went for over 10 years without losing: started MMA in 2008 and retired in 2020 without a loss, so that's a 12 year run
