This was so helpful, I think even before dating it's good to be self-aware just as Pumla said "know who you're better suited with." Thank you for sharing!
Grew up as an avoidant, noticed it and didn’t like it. Worked on myself till I was a secure. Took the test again and I’m still a secure🤗. I love it here.
That sounds like a fascinating discussion! The theory of attachment really does offer a lot of insight into how our early environments shape our emotional patterns. It’s intriguing to consider both how our past experiences influence our current relationships and the ways in which this theory can be applied or fall short in understanding human behavior
Me heading to do the test again because why have I never thought to take it again since? Could it be that I am secure now? 😂 remains to be seen. Deeply enjoyed this conversation. Your chemistry, intelligence and humor is an absolute joy
A therapist actually told me that i have a secure attachment style. I didnt understand it until she explained to me that based on how i described my upbringing,i am secure. Infact she said she observed many times how i carry myself in the work place and how i relate with people. Now, i used to work with this therapist in a totally different department until she went back to school for a masters in Psycoeducational therapy. She is now a therapist and a good one at that. What's interesting is that she has an avoidant attachment style because of how she was raised. She told me her childhood story and i was so shocked and wondered if most therapists have had so much trauma in their lives because the things she has been through, i wouldnt have never imagined.Meanwhile she is such a good therapist and the reviews from her clients are what makes her an excellent therapist.
I always love you guys. That mother wound topic always triggers me wabula because I know I have work to do!!! Pumla’s submission on that topic got me on the edge of my seat.😅
The three of you are such a riot.. The way I have cackled like a Hyena watching this.. But on a serious note, the lessons are so profound. Thank you for letting us into your friendship. on another unrelated note, drop the skin care routine Pumla and Prima.

😀😀😀 you're such an amazing team, very real, full of good vibes and wisdom in your sharings , because of you am now heading to learn about this new thing you have shared "attachment style" so i can know me better.
Pumla you're such a great teacher! From your attachment style explanation, I could already tell that I was avoidant. But when I took the quiz, I was a little upset at the confirmation *insert buullu shiiti 😂*, I wanted to be secure 😂 perfection will be the death of me 🤦♀
Hahahaa! Avoidants wabula! Even after doing so much work, I still turn up as avoidant. But im on a much better scale now. The goal is to get your scores to be lower.
Thank you guys, you’re all so free I feel like I we all be hanging out together when I watch this! 😂 thank you for the references to the books you read that helped with the things you talk about ❤❤, they are most helpful for our “self- investigations”! Much love!

Naye members thank you for the information while also being fun, Kwegamba I’m recharged from the KB but also I have left informed. I have shared ku watsapp and family group chat because we need to be informed also 😅
This episode has impacted me positively today, it has actually swept my feet off, imagine you behaving a certain way while not knowing why...until i have discovered myself as a disorganised attacher😢 wooooow . I think life is just starting today
Light Bulb moment, I always wondered why I am anxiously attached. especially because my parents are loving, and attentive. But it makes sense when you talk about working parents and the inconsistency that comes from having busy parents who were building their careers and just surviving when I was little.
😂😂😂😂😂 naye this @Pumla thanks for teaching us the attachment style I loved it .But am just like Joel we have the same attachment style . Pulma and Joel u are too funny . Thanks for the show PPJ
Joel, as if I saw you at Serena on Monday. We were at the health innovation’s conference. I wanted to talk to you but the interactions were inevitable. Before I knew it you had left. I love your content and I missed the opportunity interacting with you in person
Esther Perel would be proud of Joel! She says ,"we burden our partners by wanting them to be our everything. Isn't that too much responsibility on one person?" Love from 🇰🇪
I came here following the great brains my Pumla, lucky enough i also landed on Prima my pastor at WHG, one day i will get the confidence and tell you physically that am your greatest fan Mrs Kyambadde.
I am a dismissive avoidant and the way I got out of this is first of all by rejecting any situation that brought out my anxiety or my avoidance. This means I was intentionally looking for a secure partner by refusing partners who made me avoidant or dismissive. What this led to was in a relationship where these situations eventually came up, I am able to self soothe in one way or the other and communicate to my partner about my needs. It really is a thing you heal from with another person in my opinion. And you have to know there will always be periods where you become avoidant again or so but what changes is that now you can see it and know what you need to do or have the strength to go through what you need to,to become secure again.
But for anyone to read into Prima and Joel's relationship in a romantic way is unserious. Prima has expressed before how sociable she is, she likes people, talking, mixing, etc. People who are like this are free around those they interact with I think it looks different from the outside looking in. This is like calling people dear/sweetie and they catch feelings thinking you are calling them dear for romantic purposes. 😅
I couldn't believe they called us out on our comments....😂..Pumla also you..indeed Prima is a sweet soul...she made me laugh when one time she said she can start a friendship or conversation anywhere and with anyone...its just part of her
I digress, in Kenya security agencies and even some of the protestors didn't think Parliament can be accessed. The initial plan was get outside Parliament and present the petition againt the Finance Bill 2024. So when it was actually accessed even the security agents were overwhelmed and the random shooting started. Our costs of living are over the roof 😢, yet our politicians are living like fat cats. Indeed it is #NotYetUhuru for us. Nice show, new subbie 😊.

A new ooooooonnneeeee 🎉
I have no mother wound so I'm such a secure attacher but anxious avoidants that i have drawn to my self are about to morph me into them.
The secure in you shoild be stronger than the avoidant or anxious in them. They should be drawn to your side and not the reverse
