    Excerpt from The Hollywood Reporter
Johnny Depp Flipped the Script With His Defamation Trial Victory
Social media, a nonsequestered jury and early dismissal were among the factors that led to the verdict in a Virginia court despite a ruling that went the opposite way in the U.K.
After 13 hours of deliberating, jurors deciding the fate of Johnny Depp’s defamation duel with Amber Heard announced that they had reached a verdict. Only there was one problem: They forgot to specify damages.
Judge Penney Azcarate told jurors to retire back to the deliberation room with no deadline on when to return. It could have taken an hour or another three days. After all, juries are given wide latitude on calculating damages, and there’s no formula to follow. They are not given a lot of guidance.
But only 15 minutes later, the jurors returned with a number. They awarded Depp $15 million in a verdict in favor of the actor on nearly all counts. Of the award, $5 million was in punitive damages aimed to punish Heard for especially reprehensible conduct and to deter similar conduct in the future (later reduced to $350,000 in accordance with the state’s statutory cap).
The decision stood in stark contrast with the result in Depp’s suit in the United Kingdom, where he lost a similar defamation case. One major difference that led to the reversal in Depp’s fortunes, said legal experts, is that his case was decided by a jury, unlike his trial overseas, which was decided by a judge.

I'm a Brit and I find the way Judge Nicol handled this case was disgusting, it was like he'd already made up his mind or been told by someone to decide the case in favour of The Sun and Dan Wootton and by definition in Ambers favour way before the case started. It smells so much like a rail road job against Johnny Depp, especially when his appeal was flatly refused for some feeble reason. In my mind the whole case needs investigating along with Judge Nicol.

The lies from Elaine has shocked me more than I thought she could. To blame the judge and say she wasn’t fair and just with her actions, when she was so patient and fair. Then to say the Jury went running to the internet during the week long break, people who’ve given up 7 weeks of their lives to be slandered. The lies about her mountain of evidence, how the UK case wasn’t brought up in court and that the Jury weren’t told, yet both her and Rottenborn mentioned it on multiple occasions. She is an embarrassment.

That case was a slam dunk for Johnny from beginning to end and that's why when the verdict was read I was gobsmacked and stunned. I wasn't the only one. I'm glad they did this video, to point out it's one person's actions, the judge, & shouldn't reflect badly on his country. The fact that you feel badly about this reflecting on your country highlights something important about humans: Identifying ourselves with our country, religion, etc, causes lots of problems, like how we do bad things for "good" reasons, like starting wars. To most people in the world, something like this DOES affect their view of one person's actions. We all do this.
That's why Sadhguru teaches that many problems in our society, like wars, are caused by how we all identify ourselves with things outside of our true selves. That's what causes people to do bad things in the name of "good", like wars.

The format just doesn't allow for "calling someone out". Some, however, did, by simply phrasing the questions a certain way, let the vierwers know that they disagree with the satement. Like saying "So you said you had all the evidence" instead of just "You had all the evidende..." or that Ex Sportman who was like trying to get Elaine to admit flaws with an analogy of when he was playing. At 23:54, BELOW 👇🏼 is what Andy was referring to. The UK judge was BIASED due to his MANY CONNECTIONS to AH, her lawyer, and The Sun writer. This caused conflicts of interest that were never disclosed. He should’ve recused himself. The VA judge said justice wasn’t served in the UK case, which is why she didn’t allow AH to talk about the verdict.
1️⃣ Jennifer Robinson (who was AH’s attorney) is friends with Camila Palmer (who is Justice Andrew Nicol’s wife).
2️⃣ Justice Andrew Nicol wrote a book with Geoffrey Robertson (Geoffrey Robertson is a mentor and employer of Jennifer Robinson).
3️⃣ When appointed to the case, Justice Andrew Nicol was employed by Geoffrey Robertson’s legal firm, Doughty Street Chambers.
4️⃣ Jennifer Robinson took AH to a private dinner party in July 2020, during the trial (there were photographs of this event in publications). Also attending that dinner were Baroness Helena Kennedy, and the party was hosted by Kathy Lette.
5️⃣ Baroness Helena Kennedy was also employed by Doughty Street Chambers, and Kathy Lette is Geoffrey Robertson’s ex-wife. They’re close friends with Jennifer Robinson and Camila Palmer (who is Justice Andrew Nicol’s wife).
6️⃣ These women have been supporting AH for years in her UN functions and by publishing their support during the trial.
7️⃣ Lastly, Rupert Murdoch owns both TalkRadio and The Sun. Justice Andrew Nicol’s son (Robert Palmer) worked for TalkRadio at the same time that TalkRadio employed Dan Wootton. And Dan Wootton also writes for The Sun; he is the author of the article in The Sun calling JD a “wife be@ter” - the article that made JD move forward with the libel case against The Sun in the UK.
⏺ This point isn’t tied to the judge, but rather an interesting yet insignificant tie between The Sun and AH. Rupert Murdoch’s son, James Murdoch, joined Tesla's board in July 2017 and is an independent director for Tesla (at the time of the UK trial). Tesla is owned by Elon Musk. Elon Musk dated Amber Heard from May 2016 (while married to JD) til Feb 2018, and allegedly stayed in communication afterwards.
Even if the judge didn’t realize every single connection, he undoubtedly knew most. Even one would be too much. But the judge carried on in the trial and decided that AH’s hearsay claims and speculations were credible (e.g., AH simply telling her story, her “journal,” her taking a text of JD giving a general apology then saying he apologized for ab*sing her, etc). Yet, he dismissed most of JD’s hard evidence, including surveillance footage, emails, audio recordings, pictures, tapes, checks, and even the witness statements of JD’s bodyguard and LAPD members. He also wouldn’t consider expert testimony. He believed almost everything AH said even though she had no hard evidence backing up her claims, there were massive holes in her story, and proof she lied. Justice Nicol didn’t even want to hear that AH donating the $7m was a Iie; in fact, he simply believed her word and said she couldn’t be a “goId digger” b/c she donated the $7m, and if she isn’t a gold digger, she’d have no reason to Iie about her allegations. 😱 He also didn’t allow JD to appeal his ruling. He retired 6 MONTHS later, in May 2021.
The UK trial was completely different than the US trial. UK was the libel case of Depp v NGN (The Sun) and Dan Wootten [not AH]. AH was only their star witness. AH was not a party to the trial so she wasn’t held to the same discovery/evidence standards. And The Sun basically only had to prove that they trusted their source, who was AH. The judge didn’t make AH show ANY concrete proof. And the judge’s ruling was that he found The Sun’s claims were "substantially true." Substantially means “essentially” or “for the most part.”

The justice system in UK must be a complete mess if someone like AH can win any trial there. If I were an UK citizen, I wouldn't feel safe living there.

Technically it wasn’t Amber, It was J.D vs the ‘trashy’ Sun news. The Judge shouldn’t of been allowed on that case for his son works for Rupert Murdoch. Filthy bunch.

Amber didn't win. The newspaper he was suing won due to a biased judge.
The judges son worked for Rupert Murdoch, the owner of The Sun so it was a massive conflict of interest leading to a biased outcome.
Amber Heard was a third party and not even credible.

    Per WebMD
"Pathological lying is a symptom of various personality disorders, including antisocial, narcissistic, and histrionic personality disorders. Other conditions, such as borderline personality disorder, may also lead to frequent lies, but the lies themselves are not considered pathological. Finally, some people simply lie pathologically but have no other conditions."

She's a moron, she just has to have the last word... What infuriated me most on those audio recordings was how she wouldn't even let him get a word out she talked over him constantly God I wouldn't have blamed him for choking her out, she wants to silence everyone when it comes to her having to hear the truth about herself, she wants to ramble on and ramble on putting somebody down but she doesn't want to hear the facts on her own behaviors! I absolutely loathe this woman, I use that term lightly

Elaine needs to be sued for her own defamation in my honest opinion. She has blamed the jurors with no evidence of looking at and watching media. Elaine and Amber both blame anyone and everyone but themselves.

So convenient that Elaine only brings up the jury being influenced by social media when she lost the trial. She had a full 6 weeks to bring up her concerns, but she only brigs it up now after the verdict. Such a sore loser!
