Got to do this soon, I replaced the whole cable a few years back it snapped, but damaged the latch in the process and now it's cracking. When you push the tab correctly in just the right place, the latch will pop out a lot which allows access to the other tab. Hard to get it but when you do you know. The order matters, can't remember if it's top or bottom one first but it's reversed for each side. Fiddly af!
Hopefully it goes smooth mate, sometimes they just pop out or they’re a pain I had to do a cable too as I have broken 6 handles since I’ve owned the car since I’ve done the cable it’s been perfect
I wouldn’t mind it I did my cable the other week but didn’t film as it was gunning it down with rain I can strip the seat and show you what you need to to in order to get the cable out? I’ll make sure it’s detailed enough
sadly both my seat handles went at once. one only moves half the seat with the other side still locked and then i got the one like yours. with the other one is that a handle problem or wire?
I changed my cable recently as I found the clip was broken so it had play causing it to get caught, it was chucking it down so I didn’t film it but yours sounds like a dodgy cable you can get one on eBay for around 20 quid they work great and they’re not too bad to fit I’d recommend lifting the cover off he rear of the seat so you can feed it through easier and removing the seat base which is 2 10mm bolts
I'm thinking of doing that too tried it briefly yesterday after work couldn't to it with 2 screwdrivers felt like just forcing it off lol is it ok to do that ? I mean it's broke already ainte it lol
Cheers for that. Tried the 2 screwies approach no joy followed your vid and did both in a couple of mins 👍🏻
You’re welcome glad it’s helped you 👍🏻😁

Clean the mechanism on both sides of the seat, they are at the bottom where the spring is located, also WD40.
My cable ended up being damaged replaced it and it’s been fine ever since the mechanism was well greased
That's my son 💙
Think you can do one for changing the cable?

I just rip them off lol, easier to snap the tabs rather than try push them in. Good video bro!!
I ended up doing that in the end lol

@@thew4rrior5code Ive ripped them before 🤣🤣
@@6uiltdifferent what's the best way of forcing it off? With 2 screwdrivers just yank it off like that?
@@thew4rrior5code I just used the one screwdriver and then pulled it
Is it the 4th one on the same seat mate??
Yeah ended up going through 2 more changed the cable in the end and never had a problem since
