@@GalleryAquaticaTV Good stuff. Quick Question mate. I'm running a red sea 450 with a clarisea sk-5000 roller which is hard plumbed to the overflow. I was wondering if adding the 150 S skimmer would be overkill and possibly i should downsize on the skimmer. Bio load isn't crazy. Purple Tang, Tomini Tang, 2 clowns, 1 blenny, 1 goby, 1 wrasse. Would love your thoughts. Cheers
Cam I want to say Thank you for the episode you did about the Australian Stripey and aptasia. I was finally able to get one here in the US and this little guy is my hero. He has eaten every single aptasia in my tank and I was quickly losing the battle and ready to give up. I had tried everything including the zapper thingy and nothing worked. They just kept multiplying. I’m a happy reefer these days!! Thanks again!
Thanks Cam for the video and introducing new products . It would be good to know if the recirc scrubber accumulate any liquid at the bottom as it is closed loop. Does the scrubber has a drain?
There is no drain on the reaction chamber. I think you’d be unlucky to get water drawn into the scrubber. If you did however I think you’d need to replace your CO2 media. Cam
Wonderful! I've been waiting for skimmer manufacturers to do this. I have mixed feelings about it though as how much does it really increase pH for the cost? I dose kalk for the pH and run a little ozone through my skimmer but this is going to be a thing and a definite reason to buy this skimmer. I think these lids should just become standard though ;)
Awesome video as always Cam. I’m currently building a big system that I’ll be running 2 X Regal 250 Ext skimmers on. Could I get away with the one C02 scrubber?
Sounds exciting! You could use a single recirculating CO2 scrubber on the system. It would exhaust faster than if you used 2 but you’d still go through the same amount of CO2 media. Cam
That is a really elegant solution to support depressed Ph. I would think you had better watch your alk as it is likely to drop with corals being so much happier
Good question. I thought about that but it was quiet without using the silencer and I figured it’s better to reduce the length of hose for neatness. Cam
I haven’t got one myself but I have been looking. All the diagrams I see have the scrubber outlet going to the silencer but having it go directly to the venturi would probably make it even quieter. Keen to see the results.
@@GalleryAquaticaTV pretty sure there is a hole in the new lid for it. Might have to just take the grommet out of the old lid and install into the new lid.
I'm in the USA and this is the first time I've seen your store. Looks really nice! Thanks for the videos.
Great job Cam always looking forward to seeing your videos
I love that skimmer. I use the same model myself minus the new Addon. It's really good quality skimmer that just works year after year
I agree, even before the recirculating CO2 scrubber add-on I loved these skimmers. Cam
Love the detail! And a beautiful skimmer. I’m running recirculate co2 using this exact method and ph is always up!!🎉
Very nice 👌🏻
Great Vid Cam. I'll be picking up one of these regal 150s soon, cant wait.
You’re going to love it. I’ve already seen a big improvement in my pH. Cam

Impressive system. Interested to see how long the co2 media lasts with the Octo scrubber.
I'm pumped for the numbers! In Canada ph is way too low... 7.75 for a high! I need a scrubber, hrv, kalk, and an open window 😂

Any updates on how this went?
Any updates on the soft coral tank from Anya
Not yet but we are definitely due. I’ll nudge Ania to get it done😉 Cam
Cam is the modified skimmer lid avilable for any other models in the octo range or just the 150s?
That is a really elegant solution to support depressed Ph. I would think you had better watch your alk as it is likely to drop with corals being so much happier
Agreed. I definitely expect accelerated growth. Cam
Cam what is your go to for Phosphate and Silicate remover?
Definitely GFO in a reactor. I usually use Phosban or Rowaphos. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV cheers 🍻
Hi cam
I have the 150 regal and been looking for this everywhere
Do you have the parts in stock currently
I’m not sure sorry. We’ve been waiting ages for it. I’ll find out today if we have more available yet and let you know on messenger. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV thanks cam

I’m still working out the details with it. I also haven’t worked out if you can still use the float sensor yet.

There’s definitely a hole. I’ll give it a go and put the results in the next update.
