Sharique, Ola started as tour & travels company in Delhi in the year 2009 with name ola tours & travels where their business was utter flop & then they ventured into a taxi service business. The preliminary idea came of the application came to Bhavish Agarwal, when he was travelling somewhere in Delhi by Auto & it was his co-partner who was his room partner at IIT Mumbai Sh. Ankit Bhati who did the coding for Ola app when they started their Ola office in Mumbai in the year 2010. I had a chance to interact with Sh. Bhavish Agarwal & this was told by Bhavish himself.
