the generation gap has become a chasm because the younger isn't learning from the elder. elders aren't digital natives. youngers are. how do we communicate across that? i don't mean to be a buzzkill when most here are escaping to their feel-good days, but we're in danger of losing things much more important than our pop culture. unless we learn to relate to the younger and see the world through their eyes, and then teach them to relate to us so they can appreciate the world through our eyes, our entire zeitgeist will vanish in a flash and the younger will start from scratch, doomed to repeat our mistakes and relearn the lessons of our history. to be clear, encyclopedic knowledge of history isn't the same as knowing the lessons of history. those lessons can't be transmitted through wikipedia. if you don't believe me, consider american government. senior politicians haven't done much to mentor their replacements, and a lot of them aren't stepping aside to make room for the new dogs. as a result, we have a geriatric government that is out of touch with the people it's supposed to represent, and we have extremism in both parties. the gap between seniors and juniors creates dysfunction within the same party, and the extremism creates dysfunction between opposing parties. frustrations mount and we react by electing someone more extreme than before, either pushing the envelope farther in the same direction or swinging the pendulum to a greater but opposite extreme.
@@alyssad1493 Fr, it's too bad synths today aren't nearly as trippy and unique. Everything about her vocal is 1000% perfect and spot on. From the delay being just right in the right places, to the harmony, to the way she chooses the best sounding possible inflection for every single syllable. Example: - Her growl on "into the NIGHT"... - .. to high pitched girly voice into her half-mumbling on the "then you put your arms around me.." bit - to her voice cracks like "fast as we CAn" - Obvs, the echo on the pre-chor

Spot on!!!
You are soooo right.... Completly differet times full of EMOTIONS
the generation gap has become a chasm because the younger isn't learning from the elder. elders aren't digital natives. youngers are. how do we communicate across that?
i don't mean to be a buzzkill when most here are escaping to their feel-good days, but we're in danger of losing things much more important than our pop culture.
unless we learn to relate to the younger and see the world through their eyes, and then teach them to relate to us so they can appreciate the world through our eyes, our entire zeitgeist will vanish in a flash and the younger will start from scratch, doomed to repeat our mistakes and relearn the lessons of our history. to be clear, encyclopedic knowledge of history isn't the same as knowing the lessons of history. those lessons can't be transmitted through wikipedia.
if you don't believe me, consider american government. senior politicians haven't done much to mentor their replacements, and a lot of them aren't stepping aside to make room for the new dogs. as a result, we have a geriatric government that is out of touch with the people it's supposed to represent, and we have extremism in both parties. the gap between seniors and juniors creates dysfunction within the same party, and the extremism creates dysfunction between opposing parties. frustrations mount and we react by electing someone more extreme than before, either pushing the envelope farther in the same direction or swinging the pendulum to a greater but opposite extreme.
True data 😂😂

It was a hit back in 1967's too.

The 80s were the best Years ❤️❤️❤️
Everything about her vocal is 1000% perfect and spot on. From the delay being just right in the right places, to the harmony, to the way she chooses the best sounding possible inflection for every single syllable.
Example:
- Her growl on "into the NIGHT"...
- .. to high pitched girly voice into her half-mumbling on the "then you put your arms around me.." bit
- to her voice cracks like "fast as we CAn"
- Obvs, the echo on the pre-chor

By the time all the iconic songs and singers came out in full force, I was a very young child and just taking it all in and gobbling it all up! Tiffany, The Bangles, Heart, Madonna, and so many more female singers were taking the world by storm. Hats off to the 80s men, too!

Tiffany got huge after her mall tours in the 80s. Since malls were where teens tend to hang out. In the 90s, labels wanted their own Tiffany, and we got Britney Spears who also got big from mall tours (Britney was a huge fan of Tiffany growing up).
Tiffany was a better singer.
Nope that's not true.
Thanks Wikipedia
According to VH1's Pop Up Video, they had her tour malls because she wasn't old enough to perform in clubs and bars.
