Johnny's one of the few people who can consistently make me laugh so hard I almost pass out. God, I miss entertainment like this. Johnny, Ed, Doc... you all are missed right now.
Notice how Joan would just place the animal on Johnny's desk or lap and he would just wing it from there? People don't know he was a big animal lover and donated a lot to the San Diego Zoo for their animal rescue programs and Joan's Project Animals.
What a classic! 😂. When he covered her up for modesty 😂. I remember as a kid always liking this lady. She was my hero. And she was always so calm and kind
I remember the night this originally aired. Then for some reason, all these years later, I thought about it and wondered, could this clip be on RUclips? Sure enough it was! What a funny bit !!
bakerXderek Johnny was ultra talented!! Could dance sing play drums guitar. Check out the Jack Benny Show episode where he had Carson on!! Hysterical!! You'll get to see just how talented he truly was. Oh yeh,, he also dabbled in slight of hand card tricks.
There was no one like Carson. He made you feel like you were visiting at home in his living room. A once in a lifetime individual who will never be matched.
During the 70s and 80s just like today the world was in never ending turmoil. Untill 11:29. At 11:30 p.m. the problems stopped cold right there no matter how bad. Johnny put the nation to sleep every night. You fell asleep watching his show.
After Johnny passed away Rich Little talked about all the celebrities being out in Hollywood but at 11:00pm they would all disperse and go home to watch Carson. God I miss those days.
I remember watching this the first night that Carson brought Joan Embrey and the bush dog on the shows broadcast. It was pretty funny and certainly cute. I remember laughing very hard at the bush dog song. I laughed very, very hard watching Carson sing the bush dog song. I must've high to find it as funny as I did. After all it was 1975.
There will NEVER be another Johnny Carson but only attempts by copycats who will continue to fall way short of the brilliancy of this comedic and talented man. RIP Johnny and thanks for the memories!
I had thought I had heard of all the animals species there is in the world. A bush dog is one animal I had never heard of before. But it is such a really cute animal. That I wish I could have one as a pet. Even though they are wild animals. Johnny looks so cute holding that bush dog.
I have this on Carson's Comedy Classics that a collector put together for me, but it's a bit longer. At one point, Johnny stops rubbing her belly, and she squeaks as if to say, "Did I say you could stop?" So funny and cute! When I saw that, I thought, "I want one!", like probably a few other people. Sometimes when the animal experts go on the show, they warn people that they are still wild animals, no matter how cute they are. They even warn people about having pet skunks! Some people have pet hyenas.
my fav johnny w animals shows was the one he bent down to a pen w 2 young cheetahs in it one snarled and lunged at him he ran over to Ed and jumped in his arms! lol
He also wanted it that they do not tell him ahead of time what animal they’re bringing out. He wanted the surprise to be natural so the audience would appreciate it as well. That’s one of the reasons he was the best.
There will never be another Johnny Carson. The man had grace, wit, humor and a little innocence all wrapped up in one.
He was like America's grandfather.
He was horrible according to everyone who dealt with him including his family.

Yes yes we all know everyone is awful and nobody gets to have any accolades or positive history about them anymore.
@@InvadeNormandy He earned his accomplishments but also his reputation. This is a lesson to be kind to those around you.
Joan Embree always personified class in her appearances...
And true compassion for the friends she brought!
Beautiful lady with a kind, gentle soul..
My dream girl forever!
She was a hero of mine as a kid
Beautiful woman
the bushdog is sooo adorable...what a baby!!!!
Oh Johnny how I wish you were here. You were such an amazing man with the gift of making us laugh till we couldn’t stop. Thanks Johnny
Joan Embry and her animals were always my favorite part of the show.

Doc’s still around
@@nazmoking3171 I know he's still with us, thank God. I just miss that whole lineup.
The little noises and the ears are too cute 😭
Notice how Joan would just place the animal on Johnny's desk or lap and he would just wing it from there? People don't know he was a big animal lover and donated a lot to the San Diego Zoo for their animal rescue programs and Joan's Project Animals.
We adored his shows even more with the zoo animals visited
NO ONE was better than Johnny. Period.
Got that right. Late night has never been worth a hoot since he retired. One of the greats.
man, Joan was hot.
Absolutely, he was the best!
Johnny's expressions are always priceless! lol
For an animal to readily get so cozy in your lap says much about the person you are.
What a classic! 😂. When he covered her up for modesty 😂.
I remember as a kid always liking this lady. She was my hero. And she was always so calm and kind
Johnny Carson was a legend
he filled every minute of his show with real entertainment and laughter

There was no one like Carson. He made you feel like you were visiting at home in his living room.
A once in a lifetime individual who will never be matched.
Exactly. It was like having the family around the couch catching up on each other.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen!
I miss these! So happy to be able to see them, again, on RUclips. Thank you for posting!
Anything for a bit. What great timing, Doc.
How many Kimmel or Colbert clips will we still be watching 40 years from now? Methinks few, if any.
I tried watching Jimmy Fallon's Show the other night. It was painful!
Very few watching now
He will always be the King of late night.
There will never be another Johnny.
Thanks for posting , this is one of the best.
I miss him and his animal segments

He has a natural rapport with animals. He has a good heart. The animals can sense this...
Bush dog is so cute, with sweet sounds..
A Johnny Carson Classic
Animals loved him. He showed a genuine interest and they felt it...
Johnny was hilarious!!!

and in Northern Europe too
The Best Entertainment Show in E.U.A.
Such modesty. Johnny needed a rubber band, like the scene with Steve Martin putting one on Betsy's ankles in his classic Bowfinger.
Dante Perry I LOVE Bowfinger! Genius movie!
She is just a widdle baby ❤️❤️
