Comedy GOLD. No one did it better than Letterman.
And now a word from the kidney foundation!!! Lol
Can you imagine, for Thanksgiving for years, the family gets to talk about how their dog took a piss on Letterman.
"ALL high notes..."😅 That Sam had stage fright, When ya gotta go, ya gotta go 😅
Those poor dogs were under a lot of pressure. Frank Zappa is a tough act to follow.
for sure, man
😂😂
I loved how everyone laughed til they were blue in the face when that dog let it go
so so sweet poor Milton!!!
Milton got the hat trick. The books, the bathroom and the hat to complete it
David should wear that jacket and those slacks for every show. He looks great.
But... He's retired.
Those were great years for Letterman. I remember him suiting up in the fuzzy part of Velcro with the hook Velcro material on a wall. He would jump onto the wall and then hang there. I don't remember how he got down. Who thinks of such things? But, Letterman did it back in the early 80's.
I had a large (75 lb.) brindle male Boxer that I taught all the usual tricks to: sit, shake, lay down, stay. I never taught him to roll over, but I taught him to stretch. This came about by chance, I never set out to teach him this. Wish I could have taken the dog on Letterman as teaching a dog to stretch, especially a large one, would have been notable. Trouble was my dog died in 1970 and I hadn't even heard of Letterman at the time.
Sam doesnt care about catching the ball. Milton says fu and says im going to piss instead.
You know...these were the good times when animals werent pressurized so much and loved even if they didnt do their 'duty'. Love it. They were healthy, you can just say (im sure today they are more happy and pampered too, i was jus saying u know, its always nice to see these).
Dog checks out....books @4:37
Hilarious!
Bucket has to be about 45 years old now! 😊
I love these!
Oh Sam, I hope you've been enjoying your 30 year trip to heaven.
YAYY..MILTON ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Frank & Moon Beam Zappa that was a good show.
sam was so cute omg lmao that was the best fail ive seen
WOW! I've never heard of this happening. It's just bizarre.
One trick was howling another trick was catching a ball. They had a pretty slow start with the actual tricks, but Dave makes it work.
3:09 thats a cute dog 🤣
ive never understood adult dogs that start peeing randomly like this, my staffy only ever did that when he was young (2yrs) and very scared but even if there's a hurricane or snowstorm he refuses to use pee pads or go inside in any capacity
I wonder how many dogs came on the show to "sing" haa yet howled or barked.
Hey Don! Can you upload Ed Asner's interview on Late Night? I heard that it's a pretty strange one.
If I do, people will think he died. :)
sorry
@@dongiller Just say "Interview with the Extant Ed Asner."
I was born exactly 7 years later
I was born exactly 10 years earlier
I was born at night, but it wasn’t that night.
Stupid pet tricks came a long way from the first outing.
Zappa should have stayed for bucket head.
A monkey peeing on Johnny Carson's head was funnier.
All those pets are dead. Kinda weird when I thought of that.
I was a vet tech, animal trainer, ranch manager. I can't even think about them all. Overwhelming.
No way man. I just saw Bucket last week in a park. I didn’t think it could really be him but I thought I’d yell really loud ‘Bucket!!!’ you know, to see if it was him, and he looked. So guess you’re wrong dude.
@@richieboy6825 😂😂😂
That is weird to think about.
Yep, and you and me, our dogs, everyone there that night, and everyone else we know will be dead this time next century.
when I first heard of this back in the day I thought it was Stupid Petricks a character. I was really high and kinda disappointed too.
I remember his early daytime show. He had Chris Elliot on and he made a fancy "Crustacean" dish in a cooking segment by just toasting some bread. I remember thinking this was some subversive stuff. It was BRUTALLY mocking national TV culture. Then, like ALL weird shows I've liked throughout my life, it was cancelled far too early.
That was Rich Hall. Chris Elliott was never on Dave’s 1980 morning show.
@@dongiller WOW. I am kinda blown away. I wish there was a video of that bit. Rich Hall is one of my favorite comedians. He makes Americans look less stupid on the BBC.
Milton: YOUU check this out
