Because I want to major in something related to animals like a biologist or a zoologist or maybe even a vet but this seems interesting to me. The Bush dogs stocky appearance isn’t too atypical for a South American Canid. Several species of false foxes in South America are rather stocky. Being small and stocky allows for more efficient movement in jungle and other densely vegetated habitats.

I don't know. My puppy is so far short and stocky. And she got stuck between the couch and coffee table the other day because she wasn't flexible enough to turn around. 😅 Her solution was to lay down right there and allow her body to just shove the coffee table out of the way. She's not exactly efficient at moving around. 😅

Can “thrive” really be used to describe something with so small of a population?

Amazing work! Just a correction, maned wolves are found at Cerrado's grasslands, not Pampas'. Both are domains really endangered by deforestation in Brazil!
