  • This is a piano cover I composed for the main theme that plays in the game Sanitarium while on the level, The Innocent Abandoned. This was originally composed by Stephen Bennett and Jamie McMenamy.

I arranged this a long time ago after playing through the game; "The Innocent Abandoned" was my favourite section in terms of story, tone, and gameplay; I'd never seen or played through anything like it. I felt the theme went very well with what was going on in that section of the game. My arrangement of the theme, being from so long ago, isn't very practical for a piano player. I do believe that my arrangement is impossible to play solo; regardless, I arranged it like this because of the fact that I believed it was most true to the original, for a piano arrangement, that is. I personally think the piece would be a lot better with a group of musicians, because I feel the piano doesn't do much of a justice to the ambience in the piece. Another one of my favourites is Sarah's Theme; the common tone in the two sections of the game, of course, is bittersweetness, which I'm a sucker for. If anyone would like to perform this arrangement, I highly suggest taking the notation with a grain of salt and using the sheet music simply as an outline of what to do (To anyone who wishes to do so, be sure to use the link to the sheet music in the description; it is different from the sheet music in the video in terms of rhythms and other miniscule changes that make it more true to the original). A lot of my more recent music is lightly to heavily inspired by the tone of "Sarah's Theme" and "The Innocent Abandoned" theme from the game, so check those out if you're interested. I hope this response has been helpful; thanks for your comment!

@@rennymassey8230 I actually like The Mansion more in terms of piano. I love both as much. The Mansion just has a lot more sorrow to it. The Innocent Abandoned is more about the chaotic nature of the tragedy happening, while The Mansion is more on point with certain tones telling the story of the family and the tragedy. You can almost make out a text for it in the melodies.
A terrible tragedy happened, here "the ping sound in the song".
Though they were humble and happy.
But something wasn't right, some-thing wrong.
Even though they did their best to cheer and care, it was however all in vain.
As the days passed the sorrow came ever closer until it came.
I can go on but you can hear the story and emotion in that song while Innocent Abandoned mainly just say something horrible and terrible has happened and nothing has stopped it as it grow

Yes I can! Apologies. It's been a while since I uploaded this. I never really wrote a practical score, so I'm going to do that and put it up in a few. Thank you.

Thank YOU! If you want, feel free to record yourself playing this. I'm very open to any of my music being performed live on RUclips. I'm not able to play all the instruments I write for very well, so I usually just make sure the MIDI sounds as good as possible. This wasn't the case back in the day when I wrote this and put it up here. I work on a lot of sound quality very thoroughly with my newer stuff; basically, whatever I can do to get the pieces to sound as realistic as possible. So, if you (or anyone) uploads a video like what was previously mentioned, just let me know. I'd want to be one of the first ones to see it! Apologies for the long-winded response in the likely case you won't be doing this. Thanks for listening!

Sorry for my late reply. No need to apologize for the "long-winded response". :) I looked at the score, it's a little unplayable, as if you need one more hand. Starting with the twenty-first measure, the right-hand part must be played with arpeggios on every quarter, or the left hand should jump every second note to play the lower voice of the right-hand part. I printed out "The Call of The Cardinals" to play, a beautiful thing, but I'm not sure if I will publish my performance somewhere.
