Fun fact, the best option you can get when buying an item from them is to get that item to only have one mod and be rare. The reason why is you can't chaos, orb a magic item. You can only chaos or a rare item ain't that rare item only has one option. You can chaos orbit until you get the absolute best mod possible. So say you're getting a ring from tuja and you upgraded to rare and then you get rid of all the mods so it has no mods. You can add an exalt to give it one mod, then use chaos. Orbs until you get the absolute high tier best mod you're looking for in most cases that is either going to be a very high tier magic find or maybe a very very high tier mana maximum Manor or with an amulet maybe you're looking for a very high tier plus skills
I'm already at tier 16 maps and i thought the expeditions were just to get the artifacts to buy some crappy gear didn't know about the crafting or the reroll and for some weird reason I've never found a log book so didn't even know that was a thing, ty very helpful
Honestly fantastic video, it's a long one but I've learned a ton from it, wasn't expecting Expeditions to have so many things going on so I'm glad I watched this. I like that you took the time to explain each part: what are expeditions, how you set up charges, what to expect from combat, chests, bosses, upgrade points, interacting with the NPCs for expeditions, crafting from them, their currencies, using tablets to get more expeditions... again, I know it makes for a way longer video but some of us do appreciate the time and effort you put into it and would gladly sit here and watch 40 min if that means we'll come out on the other end of the video learning how all of this works. I've also subscribed, hope you do more videos like this (one about 'crafting criteria' would be nice, like, when to use the different currencies and why).
Great vid and info! The way you cover all the aspects to explain really helped me grasp the overall concepts for delirium, expedition, etc. Earned my sub. Thank you
great video, thanks man! super informative and explained so much the game doesnt. i would love to see a video on all the end game mechanics eventually, subbed!
Really gald that you found it useful! It's why I make these videos, especially on things I wanted to know when I first started playing Path of Exile 1. The goal is to make videos on all the mechanics in the end game!
Great guide, but just a question to clarify, the order of explosions matters? So if i want logbook drops i should aim to have that on first explosion?? Placing these on console is a nightmare unf, it just snaps to certain areas.
Yes, that is correct. At 02:45 I clarify that the explosives you place will inherit the previous remnants as you go. So if you can get "50% increased number of logbooks dropped by runic monsters" on the first explosive, then all the Runic Monsters in that explosion, and all the Runic Monsters in the explosions afterwards will get that modifier. Hope the console placement treats you better in the future!
Thanks for the video Bro , may i ask something i have a bit simillar atlas now and testing it but i picked Local knowladge seems pretty good to be left
A single point on the tree is basically 3% packsize or equivalent. So any point you spend has to be worth 3% overall loot. Local Knowledge sounds great, but realistically you are not going to care about either Gold, Jewels, or Baryas/Inscribed Ultimatums. You only care about the basic currency and socket currency in trade league. The 40% "some of the time" is not worth it in my opinion, I would much rather have x% ALL the time from scaling either packsize or Quant.
@@lifewithoutpants_ you have a point because as i changed and added 20% more rarity and 4% quantity of items i got my first divine from loot, and also yes LK is mainly for currency** after 2 hours without LK another divine**
In PoE 1 it would have been the Runic Monster Markers (2 flags on the same pole) But in PoE 2 it seems that these markers spawn either a Rare or Magic Runic Monster. There are Remnant modifers that have "#% Increased number of Rare Monsters", and you can get more from the Precursor Tablets too from either Rare Monsters or Pack Size. There is no specific "Adds 2 Rare monsters" type modifiers though.
They do, and in the same way. So if you have 100% packsize you will get double the amount of Runic monsters. The only difference is now that the Double Flag icons in the Expedition do not guarantee a rare monsters like in Path of Exile 1.
I have a question. I went to logbook map. Placed 18 or so explosives and detonated. Killed all monsters (seems like it as I went through whole map like 10times) and I cant find any underground entrance. All the expedition NPCs still just looking at me no dalogue. On the side of the map I notice some reward boxes behind the fence, but unobtainable as it is closed behind the fence just now. What em I missing? Did I not blow up something important (boss arena for example) or something. If there is a monster hiding somwhere then it is doing prety good job.... Thank in advance
Not all maps will have either an underground area, or a side area, or both. You can see in the video at 26:25 where when I am about to place the explosive, it highlights a big rock/area. This is where you find the underground areas. The chest you see on the side of the map can also be accessed in the same way. Place an explosive near it and you will see the gate/terrain near it highlight when you are about to. When the explosive reaches it, it will blow up the terrain, allowing you to get to the chest.
@@lifewithoutpants_ Thanks a lot. So there is nothing like "finished" noise ot message to be sure I´m finished with objective? Im not sure whether there was boss or anything other as it was my first map of this kind and I was kind of owerwhelmed so I just blow up all in proximity with modifiers that wont kill me and does not negate my dmg type. Also trying to aquire maximum other markers. However I cant remember it there was any skull to indicate boss (not sure I would notice). But next time I will pay much more attention. @@zmaila1131 I think the music will probably change from the "Combat" music that you get when you start the explosion chain back to the "Calm" music that you get when you first enter the logbook. This is the only indicator I know of to tell you that there are no enemies left. Really glad you liked the video, and hope that you find the boss in your next logbook!
I've been having a hell of a time getting the bomb placement recital to light up green, and it keeps wanting to snap to the middle of the camp. I've had this issue on several maps. Does turning off item names help with this?
I don't think it does, and the explosive line can be difficult to wrangle with some times. It can't go "around" corners, so if you try to put it through the camp to go behind or something like that then it will snap in an awkward manner.
At 01:55 you can see the button on the screen to press to start placing explosives (All expeditions come with explosives). I changed the key binding on mine, but I think by default it is the "V" key. Once you have the green/red circle on your mouse cursor, you can press Left Mouse Button to place the explosive. You can also do "Shift + V" to undo the placement by one explosive if you put it in the wrong place by accident!

Hi, how many crafting can you done on a item?
Do you mean how many times will you be offered an upgrade at the vendor? It is always 5 from the crafts I have done.
Do all expedition logbooks have bosses? I think I wasted one if so, only one I ever saw
Bosses only appear in ilvl 79+ Logbooks, and they are not in every logbook.
From the logbooks I have done they are 1 in 4.
