Thank you for displaying how Christianity has nothing to do with how society expects it seem but everything to do with your personal relationship with God. Thank you for displaying that it’s okay to love God and love sex and embrace sexuality, that Sex is not a sin it just needs to be contained through self-discipline, the kind you get when you choose to obey God over your desires of the flesh🤍🫶🏽

@@Tshego_The_Philanthro If you read towards the end of my paragraph you will see I said sexual desire requires discipline that can only be obtained through obedience. There’s nowhere in the bible where it says sex is a bad thing, God created sex, together with all our desires. It’s the church that did a horrible job advocating for celibacy because what they don’t preach is that once you have a relationship with God and you don’t follow the law of religion which comes with condemnation, your taste for certain things, such as immorality, begin to change and that’s were obedience comes in.
Spirituality is a lifestyle, it’s complete surrender. Once you fully die to yourself and begin to live for Christ, the things of the world that feed the flesh don’t entice you anymore and you will be tempted, that’s where obedience comes in
@@Tshego_The_Philanthro There’s nothing wrong with having feelings, including sexual feelings. In fact it is good to admit you have those feelings so you don’t supress them and later have to deal with consequences of that.
What matters is what you do with those feelings, you don’t just act on them because you know it’s temporary pleasure and you have committed to presenting your body as a living sacrifice to Christ.
So what do you do when you’re horny? When you feel like having sex, you’re tempted but you know you don’t do that kind of thing? You don’t get through it by acting like you’re not having those emotions, you’re human. Instead you acknowledge that’s how you feel but you rely on sexual discipline (obedience) to remind you that your spirit is not worth being at the mercy of your ‘fleshy’ desires.
Sex is a beautiful thing, it’s the only way to carry out the instruction of being fruitful and multiplying. Hence the writer Paul says it is better to marry than to burn with passion because he knows sex is so powerful it needs to be contained in a manner that it does not control you

Yoh. This was so authentic. Thank God for Defining Love and the letters segment, you can see how important it is to every couple in terms of emotionally pouring into the relationship. We’re not all highly emotional people or can be emotional all the time, but the importance of it?? Even the little bits can go a really long way. When God presence is truly accepted in a relationship, you can witness His love reflect from within one partner to the other. That’s exactly what this was FOR ME. I really love defining love . It really reminds us the importance of being loved and loving your significant other , reading letters to each other also reminds the partnersof the love they have for each other . I could go on and on. We sometimes give up on the idea of bieng loved because we live in a world full of so much hate and uncertainities but episodes like these are vital to remind us that there is still solid love and.

Thanks to the Defining team for the episode of Defining Love. It has reminded me that Love is intentionally and most importantly God as the centre everything can be effortlessly beautiful. It gave me hope that despite the challenges we face in our relationships, everything in the end has the chance to turn out to be beautiful especially if it is done with intention and vulnerability as a core value.
