I am going to start off by saying how ashamed of myself of my initial thought when starting this video and how your channel has touched me and made me a better person and taught me a ton of wonderful tips and tricks that I am going to be using over the course of the next few months, Long story short me and my wife just purchased a gutted mobile home and we are renovating it pretty much from the ground up on a 10 thousand dollarish budget, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart ,thank you for these videos. First thing I want to say is I have been looking for videos on youtube and everywhere for like 2 weeks now just to get some information and prior experience of people using this Luan for wall panels and how it turned out along with some tips during the installation process as well as different ideas to hide the seams/screw holes etc.... And I have had the HARDEST time finding ANYTHING helpful whatsoever as far as information or trials of people using this stuff, I mean like nothing and I was starting to regret purchasing 100 sheets of this plywood 2 weeks ago. But I came across this video, and at first thought I saw a older woman at the beginning and "less than perfect video quality" and shame on me but subconsciously I started to just scroll on and start to look for another video thinking "I won't learn anything from this" (BOY WAS I FREAKING WRONG!) I saw a glimpse of you spackling the seams right before I clicked away and then said "hey that's the exact same wood I just bought" hey she is showing me a pretty legit way to hide the seams.... So I said "let's see what she got going on here".... And about 5 minutes of watching you I realized WOW this lady kind of knows a few things, as I watched I started going through your channel the second video I watched - right around the point you are removing some of the base board and re-cutting it or something next to a cabinet and I saw you fight it for a second then take your plyers and pull out the old nail, I said "ok this lady is pretty damn good" I would of done the exact same thing (fought it for a few seconds, probably a little longer then I needed to, "lol" then took out my plyers and ripped it out then tried fitting it again correctly).... I thought I knew what I was doing whenever it came to just random handyman type stuff growing up being taught everything I know from my grandfather as well as being a welder by trade, but wow.... Your work is really good better then you give yourself credit for, better then most of mine and most men if not all that I have ever worked with and shame on me for even thinking for a second that a woman can't do a job like this and do a damn good job. Your attitude is great, your humility is inspiring and you have taught me more in the last few videos then almost anyone on youtube with the exception of maybe Jeff from the (Home RenoVision DiY) channel. And I just want to say thank you for the lesson learned on my part to never judge a book by it's cover and to work on my selfish and sexist/disgusting attitude that I subconsciously had prior to giving this video a chance. If you have any other tips as far as ways to get a good professional look like this as well as save money along the way I would be more then happy to hear them. Keep up the good work! And thank you so much for these videos they are helping me and my wife more then you know!

The entire trailer we bought was already gutted out then re-framed in with all new 2X4 wall studs as well as all brand new sub floors 3/4 inch plywood with all brand new floor joist underneath. We are currently just finishing up the electrical rough in and getting ready to start putting our insulation in the ceiling/walls so we have a lot of work cut out for us over the next few months we are basically building the mobile home from frames to finish, whenever we are finished every single thing except the Iron frame that it sits on and the exterior tin wall siding is going to brand new.

@@hunterlewis9369 It's a lot of fun so long as there is no "Debbie Downer" in the way. Let me know how things progress!!

@@theropesofrenovation I choose the Luan because I had never messed with sheet rock ever in my life, actually I have never even seen a sheet of sheetrock or drywall or whatever until the other day at lowe's, my grandpaw always taught me how to cut and screw plywood or 2X4's and things like that so whenever we got to the interior wall part we had a little trouble deciding what to choose, my wife wanted to go with sheetrock like the other 8 billion people on this planet apparently lol. But I talked her into plywood so that's what we choose hopefully I can get it to look this good and essentially seamless otherwise I'll never hear the end of it lol.

@@theropesofrenovation How did the walls turn out once u painted them and everything you have any pictures of the finished product? I am fixing to show you some pictures of our progress we got just about 1 room finished and starting to hang ceiling panels, today we hauled out 300 pound roll of linoleum vinyl floor and our interior doors lol. Oh it won't let me post any pictures on here. You have a facebook or something I can send pictures of our progress and everything and if you know of any tips you can think of that I may run into it would be greatly appreciated.
