Did you find the hidden easter egg (Gollum)?
It was way too long since I attempted one of these projects. Some might be disappointed that I decided to recreate this siege instead of focusing on a new project, however, I have such a passion for this conflict, and I really wanted to see my progress since the first time.
This video was by far the most ambitious project on this channel as of yet. Multiple artists were hired to provide lore-accurate art, 3D-scenes and animations. I also got the show off all the new maps I have created  The video caused a huge budget deficit, but it was worth it considering the amount of details I could fit in. If the video gave you some value in any way, entertainment, nostalgia or whatever, please consider leaving a like and a comment to help leverage this project.
Thanks to TheCapitaineMax, Domenic Minniti, John Smith, Forrest Johnson, Paradox, Observer, Samuel-A001, Gabriel Yalap, Gigi Quillian, Tom Stappenbelt and Richard Trout for their support! I very much appreciate the support who goes directly into funding my artist! Consider supporting me here: www.patreon.com/join/LOME

That is true PLUS the war lasts like 45 years so how long would that video be and how long would it take to make? If all the main events are chronicled, you'd have to show all the remaining Lords of elves and men and their armies fighting the balrogs, dragons, trolls, orcs, werewolves, and vampires along with some evil men. The whole war could have ended in one day had the Valar been involved. Still at least Earendil vs Ancalagon would be Epic just by itself.😃

Waiting for this was so worth it!
I don't care that you did remake this battle instead of making a whole new video bc you improved it so much (like including theoden defeating the haradrim chieftrain).
Like allways i like the immages you are using for your videos but that birds eye view of minas tirith and osgiliath killed it, its like a fusion of a modern drone picture and an old painting, i love it!
Also its so cool you are using the lord of the rings online for things like eowyns battle.
In difference to your first video now you give us more background info to the battle like it was portrayed in the books not the movies and a wider picture.
Again fantastic work on this one!
I allways felt like faramir get way to less praise for what he accomplished. Loosing only 1/3 of his men while not only holding osgiliath against the morgul host but also retreating the whole way back to minas tirith while beeing constantly attacked by orks, humans and nazgûl is an impressive feat not many leader could had been done.

I'm surprised Tolkien had the Witch-king ride into the breached gates of Minas Tirith on a horse and not one of the fell beasts. On the one hand it would spark debate as to whether if the Gondorian soldiers fled in fear because of the Witch-king or because of his dragon-like steed, but I would have suggested having him on the fell beast because that image alone is raises the tension. The only thing that would top that would be having a balrog riding a dragon.

Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for doing this. The original story is vastly superior to the movie version (which was still very well done - with the exception of the Witch King breaking Gandalf's staff... what a joke) and perhaps one day an accurate retelling of the books can be brought to the screen. Thanks again.

Can't resist to comment before watching, though I am already drooling 🤤
By the way, it is no coincidence that the battle described with most details is a defensive mission for the heroes of the story. I think Tolkien despised war in general and especially aggressive expansionism. It is important for the moral standing of the characters that they fight to protect what they love and not to earn glory and loot.

@@Enerdhil Too much flattery :-) You can see the same notion when Tolkien describes the crossing of the Helcaraxë as one of the Noldor's greatest deeds. Others would say "well it's just about getting from a to b and no enemy was slain en route" but to someone who rejects war fundamentally, this was the heroic action not stained by violent bloodshed.

Even though I love how Peter Jackson described the Siege of Gondor and the Battle of the Pelennor Fields in the film, I also love it how Tolkien described his original and canon version of the battle.

When you think about this is a weaker sauron army compared to the second age ones as those armies were in the millions and gave the well equipped army of the last alliance in the hundreds of thousands a very hard time.

May your year be full of wonderful adventures and surprises (like a 2nd breakfast!), great discoveries, and sweet memories.
