I've watched dozens of dipole videos and this is the best one in my opinion. Very clear and concise. Well-done !!!
Thank you my friend!😀
Just getting started here. That was a great video! I love the PVC rings you made for the ends. I'm subbed!!!!
Now I gotta go buy a drill press. Harbor freight to the rescue. 😄
Yay!!!!!!!
All I need is a few trees.
Thank you for this great antenna construction video!
I will be making one like this soon.
I absolutely like this antenna I am engaged to build 1
Great video the best ever. Thank you 73 KF6VTV
Good vid. Easy explanation. Thanks 73 from VK
Glad you liked it!
Nicely done! Thanks
Thanks!!!
Another good video completely destroyed by loud annoying music
i ahve subbed also love the easy build here, Hioe to make one in the future
I am a newbie fixing to get my tech and would rather build my own antennas rather than just buy everything. I do have a tech background in aviation so building things is rather easy for me plus I actually learn things. great little video. one question I have is how would a toroid figure into a dipole antenna build?
in my country we call this "cat mustache antenna"
Nicely done. I enjoy seeing these types of video's. 73 Red KD9VUL
Thank you my friend!!
thanks very good job 73 from kb2uew
I know people love to have an SO-239 on these antennas, but have you considered just epoxying your coax into the antenna and saving the 3dB connector loss? Forgive me my blasphemy...Anyway, its a great antenna, simple and effective!
I agree, but then you have to use a 25 foot or 50 foot coax that you can never use on anything else. I think the convenience and storage may outweigh the loss. I guess we can increase the power to compensate.😊 It would however make a great video!!
Connector loss of 3 db? 50 connectors in series would not have 3 db of loss. 3 db of loss is half your power. With 50 watts of transmitter power you would not be able to touch the connector without fire resistant gloves.
I now have to go buy a bunch of pvc .
And play haha.
Great video .

And 11 meter
Workin on hammy
Oh Yeah!!
great stuff i am going on 29.6 fm so a bit shorter 468/29.6=15.8/2=7.9 feet per side
😀
the measure is for each cable for the total ?
What was the final measurement of the wire that was cut? And are you measuring from the cap to the end of the wire? Are you including the wire that is on the inside of the tee?
Thanks for the video I’ll be making one for sure. K4PWI
Hello, by trimming it which one did you cut? The antenna? Or the ground? Or both wires?
Both
@@OtisDyson thank you. 73 🤗
Do you ever make these for sale? I am handicapped and want to get back into ham radio if I can!

GREAT VIDEO!!!!. KD2QMJ
Solder the wire to the center and ground lug BEFORE you install it ✌🏻 234 gives you one leg Easier
Good video! Thanks for sharing. I like DIY projects, so I will be trying this. 73's. N4ABJ
You spent all that time with expensive bit trying to install a connector you don't need but you don't have a choke balun?
You can use any bit. I guess I always hear my daddy in my ear about if you're gonna do it...do it right. 🙂As far as the choke, I use a third party choke and wasn't showing it. The making of the antenna was the goal. Blessings my friend. It's all good.
like this hasnt been done before. waste of bandwidth and hdd space. come on folks. lets stop with the dups of videos.. u can only beat a dead horse so many times
doesn’t make sense
