If you own a property in France the local property rates payable comprises two different taxes, called the taxe d’habitation and the taxe foncière. There is also a waste collection tax.

We loved this one. We owned a property in Geneslay, Orne for 14 years, then sold it and bought a small town house in Ambrieres Les Vallees, sadly that was sold last year, due to ill health. It was wonderful to see Lassay in your video, bringing back many happy memories of times spent there over the years in both Geneslay and Ambrieres, especially Bastille Day, live music in the beautiful rose gardens, a cooling summer beer at Bar Victor and all the Vide grenier held there. Thank you for reminding us of our happy days in France.

Thank you Sean and Tom for an interesting walk around the house for sale and the little town. I think Tom would be a very nice and honest estate agent to deal with. I have always liked him when he is filming for your videos. I think that was a very good price for what you would be getting as a home with land and in comparison to what you pay here for homes in Western Australia it’s amazing. The cheapest home here on an average house block that would need upgrading and renovating would be between $400, 000 - $500, 00 AUD (€301,000) and the liveable move in ready ones start around $600,00 so to us that’s very cheap.

Sean & Tom, thanks for the wonderful video! Now I know who to contact if I move across the Atlantic to France and want to purchase a property. Sean, I appreciate the variety of things you have in the vlogs, you never know what surprises are around the corner in Sean's World.

Beautiful village, love the stonework. Especially the stone Piper in the wall. Very nice, dry attractive house! It has lots of potential. Price seems pretty good. Ryan, Billie Petherick's friend, should see it! 💗

This was a most interesting and a lovely touch with Tom...exposing him to his business side being a Real Estate Agent, it made for great viewing.. What a marvellous house, great value ( as far as Aussie real-estate, goes) Really enjoyed the combination of business and pleasure with the walk through the Medieval village along with stopping off for a beer (being ex-hotelier, myself) was a delightful ending...Good on you Sean & Tom. Well done! BTW Searn actually found you by chance working with Billy each day has been my must watch for some months, now...Has been very rewarding....Absolutely loved the one with Billy and the Ghosts...particularly when he got up to invesigate the lights in the Convent...it was nothing short of, HILARIOUS!!!😀 ENJOY!!
