I played this game a ton on the GameCube back in '09. I was 7 at the time, and I was friends with an older kid in the neighborhood. So many awesome memories. I need to grab this game again.
I get the feeling that we’ll see another Nick party game in the near future. Their crossover games have been pretty good lately, so I’d love to see them give it another shot
I remember playing some of the story mode on the highest difficulty as a kid. I got the console version. The ai kicked my ass in the first or second minigame. Seeing the mermaid man and barnacle boy scenes with the different characters you can choose was awesome though.
I remember genuinely enjoying the console version of the game when it came out, and the goal concept. There were mini games I couldn’t wait to replay for the sheer fun/favoritism. Lol The game is definitely fun with other people. It was definitely better then it had any right to be. And the portable version was one of the only few Spongbob titles I played so graphically it was my first THQ entry. Which also was a fairly decent experience albeit nothing super special.
I love playing Lights, Camera, Pants! when I was a kid. It focus on minigames remind me of Crash Bash, but nowhere near as absurdly difficult as that game.
Oooh, a knockoff Toonami set, nice. I actually tried to play Lights Camera Pants on hard, the Hard AI is virtually flawless and just floored me every time.
This is one of those games that is LITERALLY my childhood! The amount of hours my younger sister and I spent on this game! I even made it all the way to the gold campaign...but got stuck. 😢
I know it's not much, but Light Camera Pants has nothing to do with Mario Party except being a minigame compilation. Kinda grinds my gears when any game of a specific genre is seen as a ripoff or clone of the most successful one. It just hurts the genre for no reason. That's like saying Mega Man is a rip-off of Super Mario Bros just because it was the most popular platformer at the time, for example. Doesn't make much sense.
Great video tho, I wish you played the harder campaigns as it gets really intense and got the secret minigames because some of them are very good. Also the complexity of minigames compared to Mario Party for example of the handicap setting for each player is a very fun addition as well, such a cool idea And yeah, I get you address that complaint but at the same time, there's multiple games that reinvented the minigame collection formula like WarioWare for example so it's not entirely fair. In fact I feel like this title has more in common to older titles that likely inspired Mario Party like Track n Yield or Bishi Bashi with the focus on high-scoring and reaching a certain high-score to pass rather than truly wanting to emulate Mario Party.
I haven't watched the whole video so maybe you touch on this, but this game also had a PC version that I remember having as a kid. It was actually a point and click adventure, similar to The Yellow Avenger (judging by that clip you show of the latter in the history section).
Used to be when you had a staple of characters you needed to make a cheap, low effort video game for you'd do a party game or a cart racer... Now you just do a platform fighter!
I remember finding this game in a bargain bin at a Blockbuster video store that was having a sale on a bunch of og Xbox games when I was little and picked it up and it quickly became a favorite of mine. Me and my brother and cousin spent countless hours playing this and i have fond memories of it.
I've only played a handful of Wayforward games, those being the first Shantae and the duology of games based on Sabrina The Animated Series. The latter I especially loved.
I do think nickelodeon is gonna go back to the party genre. I thought we were only gonna get kart racing games from them but we also ended up getting a platform fighter. Let's just hope whoever the devs are for the party game know what they're doing. We've been getting nickelodeon games annually so I can see a new nick game coming out next year. I doubt it's a kart racers 4 since they like to release them 2 years apart. It'll probably be a nick all-star brawl 2, a new party game, or a new sports game.
20:26-2:39 music sounds like press play by stone temple pilots😂 I love this game tho I remember when it came out renting it from block buster and then finally buying it
I honestly don't see this as a "mario party clone". Lights camera pants at least tries to be it's own game. Sure it's not a perfect game by any means and the mini games aren't exactly groundbreaking or anything, but it was still a blast to play during my elementary school days. Edit: And it has a story...in a party game. Most party games don't really have that.
I rather suggest there being at least some party games with more fleshed out minigames along with events. It's not always a good thing constantly copying the same minigame structure and have it overshadow others.
Fun fact: The music in “The Bouncers” is actually a remix of the Skeleton Flyby theme from 3D Body Adventure. (Makes sense, because same composer) ruclips.net/video/ZksB-eog29c/видео.html
I’m not sure the new look fits for something like nicktoon games, but I could see you using this new style look for if you want to do a spin off of reviewing video games of shows that Toonami aired. Inuyasha, Gundam and DBZ games would look great in this setting.
Can't really attack the rythem game when it was on a wired GameCube controller attatched to a 0ms crt. Wireless controllers, lcds, and emulators all add input lag.
If I'm being honest I kinda prefer the style you did before. That one screams "Cartoon games" to me personally this one feels kinda jarring with the games you're reviewing
Pretty much there is a deserving and unique reason for the minigames to have longer time and that's simply more larger but ideal depth to make them interesting. Mario party features too much simple and short minigames pandering to the annoying trademark of simplicity which rather makes their minigames old fast.(it works well only because the boards takes longer where boards are not hugely interesting over the mingames mainly beacuse of heavy RNG) And these games felt like the equivalent of endless games where you can play longer if it's intriguing enough by depth. Three mins. Is not even that long because they have special events within half the minutes like bonus points or increased difficulty.
Seriously we don't have that much party games at all and you're yet another one of these uninformed reviews discriminating something that also useful to be played with solutions to make these minigames better and last more than mario party's clichéd structure. It's not fair at all if I were to find some friends or thinking of finding experienced players to play the structure lights camera pants inspired and they're instead play something they've should've grown out by now for every installment while the other is dormant and underused and we know not to always play the same game over acknowledging its cliched mistakes why i would request a remake for lights camera pants.
Hey all you hardcore DC Comics fans out there, you guys should make It's Not Just Fun; It's A Harley Quinn Fun Spectacle Experience To Behold!. Long story short; It's Harley Quinn The 2019 Animated Series, but retold and it'll be on par, if not, EVEN BETTER-to-outshining said show itself in every possible sense of the word! Also later on in this series, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy get a job at THE most wildly popular (lesbian girls/wildly sexy lesbian girls-only) Gotham City strip club/private naked beach and spa resort ever in existence as both drop dead sexy lesbian strippers and drop dead sexy peep show strippers and drop dead sexy private naked beach and spa resort mascots! #WarnerBrosEntertainment #WarnerBrosAnimation #DCComics #DCComicsAnimation #HarleyQuinn #HarleyQuinnTheAnimatedSeries #ItsNotJustFunItsAHarleyQuinnFunSpectacleExperienceToBehold
I would love for THQnordic to remaster this game like they did with Battle for Bikini Bottom, it was a lot of fun playing when I was a kid and it was one of my favorite SpongeBob games😁, this game would really work if they made this an online game. It has some problems with the ai and some of the mini games feels slow and unpolished.😕
I do like how Squidward double jump animation is like a real octopus
I remember liking this game a lot as a kid. Also I dig the new layout of the show, reminds me of Toonami.
I played this game a ton on the GameCube back in '09. I was 7 at the time, and I was friends with an older kid in the neighborhood. So many awesome memories. I need to grab this game again.
The new look is pretty good, but I kinda prefer seeing the old next time previews
The old coming up next bumper would be completely out of place with the new theming.
I'm hoping that since Nicktoons did a kart and smash bros game, the next on their list is a party game and it's just as good as this game.
I get the feeling that we’ll see another Nick party game in the near future. Their crossover games have been pretty good lately, so I’d love to see them give it another shot

Really love the new Toonami look. Keep it up :)

"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man!?"
THQ: "I love the young people."
I love the new outro theme. Wish I could hear the full verison of that chiptune song at 24:52
I love playing Lights, Camera, Pants! when I was a kid. It focus on minigames remind me of Crash Bash, but nowhere near as absurdly difficult as that game.

I'm pretty sure Sandy's random spike immunity in the GBA version is a glitch.
This is one of those games that is LITERALLY my childhood! The amount of hours my younger sister and I spent on this game! I even made it all the way to the gold campaign...but got stuck. 😢
been waiting for this one. I hope this gets remade it's one of my favorites
The y2k aesthetic of this video is awesome

Don’t forget Fusion Frenzy. That one also gets called a Mario Party “clone” too
Literally every minigame compilation title is called a Mario Party clone nowadays lmao
You know I wish this game gets the Rehydrated treatment.
BRUV LOVE THE NEW STYLE IT WORKS SO WELL

Love lights camera pants it’s no Mario party but it’s good. The gba version is something but the console version is better
Whoa thats a change. New Sci-Fi look for the Videos.
It was first introduced in the latest Dexter’s Lab video
I was interested in this game after seeing a trailer in Tak The Great Juju Challenge. Remember when games had trailers for other games?
The first thing I do when I boot up these Nick home console games is watch the trailers lol
Before this video, I got an ad with SpongeBob APM music.
Loving the drum and bass
4:19 say it aint so, review!
SAY IT AINT SO!!!
bro i could imagine how the ds and psp would look like someone needs to find those versions rn
Squidward is by far the worst: %100 canon
Trust me, WayForward works wonders when they're given their own IPs (the Shantae series is a prime example)
I've heard of lights camera pants, but I've never really played it before.
I remember finding this game in a bargain bin at a Blockbuster video store that was having a sale on a bunch of og Xbox games when I was little and picked it up and it quickly became a favorite of mine. Me and my brother and cousin spent countless hours playing this and i have fond memories of it.
Nice intro is giving me tekken and yugioh vibes
I like this new aesthetic. It reminds me of toonami.
I've only played a handful of Wayforward games, those being the first Shantae and the duology of games based on Sabrina The Animated Series. The latter I especially loved.
I love lights camera pants and played so much of it on GameCube
Lcp gba predicted sonic mania encore mode??
nice toonami vibe going in your current video!
I'm gonna play the gba version
If you haven’t played the other Wayforward GBA platformer you’ll probably enjoy it a bit more than I did!
Cool new intro it gives me Toonami vibes is that what you were going for?
I owned gba version of lights camera pants since i was very little

It's always surreal hearing composers reference their previous works in unrelated games. Like that one Frogger game that included a Silent Hill remix.
@@SomeLinedPaper interesting!

planktoooonnnnn
Poor Squidward

I heard Mario Party advance isn't good
Will you talk about Spngebob Math Games ?
I disagree with most of the things you said about the console version.
Let me guess did he hated it
Yep
