Kevin Burr (Tennessee by way of Rancocas Valley HS in Mt. Holly NJ) is an interesting story. He was a HS QB who had committed to play at Wagner. Went out for spring track (instead of baseball) for the first time as a senior. Thought he'd be a jumper and only went out for track because he wanted the NB Nationals backpack. Ended up excelling at jav. I watched him at the Burlington Co. open for the first time and he had a really funky high-stepping approach, but came out of complete obscurity to win and kept improving, hitting 204 by the end of the year. Ended up withdrawing his QB commit to Wagner after getting offered by UT for track.
There is a possibility I’ll throw at Jav Fest but most likely no competing this year :( Still training and coaching but priority is my wife and our soon to be newborn
Thanks for all you do for the javelin community!
