100% agree on this brand. I can’t support a company that has no desire to fix issues that loving loyal customers have complained about the last 3 years. I have a collection of probably 50 and I’m just burning through them until they are gone and that will complete my breakup with them😂 I was temped with the last sale and just said nope. It’s honestly a bit heartbreaking because I love the packaging and presentation, but when a 7 oz single wick BBW candle out preforms an 18 oz 4 wick it’s a no for me.
I heard that! I couldn’t give them away to anyone when I was eliminating this brand from my collection. I would be tempted to take them to a thrift store just to be done with them. Don’t suffer needlessly trying to burn through 50 of them. 😮💨
I know, it's so sad. I speak from passion and former love for the brand, not out of hate. I honestly think the brand thinks we're addicts/idiots and perhaps, rightly so, as they laugh all the way to the bank while we continue to buy their candles.

Thank you for confirming that I haven’t lost my mind. I heard such good things things about this line yet my experience was non existent scent unless I was singeing my eyebrows with my face in the candle. Lots of hype, low performance. The slow shipping was the insult to injury.
Yea, I understand your frustration. There's some good ones in the bunch, but so many more misses overall and the reviews tend to skew very positively despite that.

I stopped buying this brand 11/2022 for all the reasons discussed by Kent & others. I really don’t miss this brand & don’t support outsourcing to other countries at the expense of our own. My candle collection is proudly 100% American made. 👍🇺🇸
Homeworx has a similar problem as Kringle candle with respect to great scents, but poor throw.
I definitely slowed down with Homeworx purchases this year too. However I purchased luxe Harvest Leaves today. I hope it doesn’t disappoint me with throw and performance.
I had a "date" like that once, when I was quite young, I believe a senior in high school. I was so excited about it until we got to his house and it became VERY clear there was one thing he wanted and that was it. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Like if that is the deal, just tell us up front so we know to stay clear. Not everyone is looking for the hook-up. If you are, fine. But tell us, so we can either be on the same page or turn the page, right?!
I have been so disappointed in Homeworx and the continuing issues. But what disappoints me most is the lack of acknowledgment from Harry that there ARE problems. And even worse than that is the downright lies about the performance of his candles - while he throws shade at other companies! It's a shame as I ❤the aesthetics of the candles, and I love the actual scents... but I want to smell my candle when I burn it!! That's why we buy a scented candle, right?! I do use a hurricane with pretty much all of my Homeworx collection these days, which helps some. But, Harry needs to sit down for a moment and really take in what people are saying. There is a problem that needs to be fixed. Bring Homeworx back to its glory days!
I love how excited you got when you bought the Pear Blossom and Chocolate Covered Strawberries because they were so authentic in the interpretation of the scents. Thats my kind of candle. Fruit and florals need to be authentic.
Right? Unfortunately, the Pear Blossom is nearly unscented when burning :(
I won’t buy candles from them again. It’s become rare to find one that has decent throw. Their accessories are quite nice though.
I found Chocolate Covered Strawberry at TJMaxx but the lid was gone so I think it caused the wax to lose a bit of scent. I love HW fragrances just wish there was more there while burning.
You really like Homeworx? I just got my first shipment, and no scent whatsoever. No throw, can't even tell candles are burning. I might as well have thrown my wallet out the window, so disappointed!
If it says made in Vietnam don't get it.
Many of the earlier years, before covid, were wonderful! I have many beloved favorites; but so many of the 2022 & 2023 repackages & new scents are soo weak and/or dudding, drowning wicks. So sad. I do NOT understand why Harry would let this happen to his company.

As for Homeworx. I rarely buy their candles. If I see something good in T.J. Maxx I might be interested. But you're right some of their fragrances are so spot on! Thanks for the haul/mini reviews!😊

So sorry about that awful date. 👎 It’s funny your video today was on HW candles since I was soooo tempted to place a QVC order today for the palo santo pumpkin candles that were just released. I held back though and will reconsider if I see positive reviews.
Hi! Witches Spell is a Hay Barn-Horse Barn, period, to my nose. I burned it in unison with an apple candle in the Fall last year & they paired nicely together. Together gives a nice outdoor "Fall Hayride". Two of the best Spring HW candles in my opinion were *Chocolate Covered Strawberry* & *Xs & Os.* Both strong, authentic, good/juicy scents. I've always thought you would like Xs & Os, (strawberries & roses), because you like Pink Petal Tea Cake. (sort of in that wheelhouse). Recommend you try it. Otherwise HW has been mostly a disappointment for months. So sad. Just don't understand why Harry would let this decline happen to his company. Thanks for the video! ;-))

They have no reason to improve the brand. Have you seen the people in the Facebook group? Yeah lol…., people keep buying an insane amount of Homeworx candles than complain, but continue to buy. It would help if people stop buying, then harry will take it serious. I unsub from the popular RUclipsrs that burn and review Homeworx, they are so full of sh** I’m done with the lies from RUclipsrs tip toe around the truth because it’s “hurtful” according to them 😂😂….Just tell the damn truth. We only have you Kent ❤.
Preach. I think the aspirational branding and para-social/celebrity relationship people have to Harry Slatkin go along way in still carrying the brand. That is out of our control however, so the only things we can do personally is to stop buying and promoting them. Which is the reason why I didn't feel great about making this video in the first place.

Im so saddened. I just started getting into homeworx recently and yeah they suck.. my highest performance was blue hibiscus water and that was still lighter than the lighest bbw or goosecreek candle.. Im not sure how anyone is still buying these. And im frustrated by reviewers on youtube giving them 8 or 9 in throw when mine is a literal 1. Not even just ambassadors. Normal consumers.. idk how they are getting a strong throw cause i cannot. They are becoming DW.. just cute to look at but totally unscented while burning.

There are some people I follow that aren't ambassadors and just enjoy the brand but bruvvv when I see them saying it's an 8 or 9 for every HW candle and I legit couldn't smell mine. Yeah something fishy is going on. Idk why they lie 🤷🏻♀️ would love to start a channel to give honest reviews but ugh it's just too saturated.

It's saturated with reviewers like THAT or that looove everything they smell or try to be edgy for no good reason. Reviewers like Kent who are simply honest and forthright are just really rare. So if you did have a channel and you were honest that would make a world of difference. He also dissects the candle and doesn't just say it's "fruity floral" or whatever. Another reviewer (perfumes) Sharida M has this pretty turnstyle aesthetic for each perfume. You could do something like that for candles and make the quality 4k with added subs. There are ways to stand out and honestly we need better quality vids in the candle sphere.@@taylornation320
I completely agree!! I had to try them for myself recently because everyone does think differently and hard pass!! Way too much for a candle that I have to babysit! Not a fan.
Okay can I play devil's advocate? By the third date, it doesn't seem completely unreasonable that somebody would want to do more than watch movies. That being said, your friend should have been a bit more intuitive as to whether you were interested in extracurricular activitiy by date number three. Regardless sorry it didn't go as planned. There's someone out there for everyone !!! 🙏
I still buy my favorites that work for me and few others here and there but I have my eyes opened to the bragging about these being house fillers...Not many actually fit that title but the scents I love work decently...It is hard for me to keep up with the names and repackaging unless it is an old favorite.
I know this probably isn't political correct, but I have several HW candles that I adore from 2018-2021. I repeat purchase those (years) from Ebay & Mercari. Candles that I know are strong, burn well, no dudding wicks and scents that I love! So instead of sending my money to Homeworx, it's going to 3rd party sellers. I am still tempted by the new scents though (but when purchased, more often than not, disappointed). Don't understand why HW can't get its act together?

I can't imagine getting into a brand that's sold at TJX. I'm sure I miss out on nice things but I just won't go there. To me, it's too defeating to the other brands that still sell through 1st tier retail. I just saw your IG post about the throw - so, there ya go. Bummer. Why do people who support and promote Homeworx excuse consistent, poor quality with brief glimpses of greatness only every once and a while? If someone kept eating at the same expensive restaurant once a month because the food tasted good once a year while it tasted terrible the other 11 months, people would say they were an idiot, especially if there were plenty of other restaurants in town. Could we go back to the time when these scented candles had scent? And burned? Like candles?
There are a few particular RUclipsrs that review Homeworx and it is obvious they are careful when giving criticism or straight out lying. Lost respect to those RUclipsrs. The brand is in the trash. I miss the old days when the candles were truly beasts.
@@Cascada200 Those RUclipsrs who review the candles have their own coupon codes which they encourage viewers to use to get 10% off their purchase. They get a portion of those purchases when anyone uses their code. Naturally they’re not going to say negative things about the candles when they’re profiting from the sale of them.
