DCS World
Learn how to setup Axis controls in DCS world. We'll setup curves, saturation, and afterburner detente and much more! I hope you enjoy
Holy was that ever helpful - especially regarding the dots and black box which was always a mystery to me.
Agreed! Been playing for almost 2 years and I had no idea what those icons meant. Excellent video @OverKill
Excellent, Wish I would have been smart enough when I first started DCS to find something like this. Had to trial and error to get things set up.
Gonna go tweak my brakes in a bit.
Absolutely bloody brilliant mate!!! Thank you. I've been flying DCS for over 12 months and learned so much from your video. Cheers mate!
Wish there was a video about this years ago but never too late to learn, even after years of DCS. Great explanation.
Another great tutorial. Thanks for this one and the in-depth explanation with examples for every option.
great video, very clear and helpful
Thanks Overkill 👍🏻. Very well explained. 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Fantastic. Changed my DCS experience
This is great! Thanks, following your instructions, I've now set up a user curve for the hornet @ 100% MP without the burners engaging.
so thankful for this.. it's really appreciated..
I liked the video with the voice mod, I was there for the "how to" information....I tuned out the voice thing and focused on what you were saying, instead of bitching. Anyway, good video, good info thanks for sharing, helped me out a lot.
Thank you very much! I appreciate that.
thanks a million, this was what i really need for the last detailing :)
Thank you so much for this, really great informative video
Hi Overkill, did you know now you have RMB functions for the assignments? (Clear combo, Add combo, maybe even Axis tuning too, where appropriate). Try it, saves a lot of jumping back and forth for the asignment buttons. Also, for fine tuning the Axis tuning sliders, you klick on the button, then fine adjust with the right and left arrows on the keyboard (if you want to move it left or right by just 1.
That's awesome! I didn't know that! Great tip and thank you!
Absolutely love this tutorial. Setting sensitivity in JS for flight sims make a HUGE difference. Thank you so much for doing this. I just started flying DCS and am a Huey nerd. This should help me get to smooth flight.
Great video brotha!
amazing video
thanks this helped a lot
Excellent tutorial!
Hi. Thanks for sharing, I downloaded the F16 on my Xbox x series and currently using a basic control elite 2
Rudder axes work for couple minutes then stop working when suddenly.. should I go with the Hotas stick or it’s something wrong on my end?
Thank you for educating us with your amazing tutorials videos.
Curvature deadens the response of the plane relative to the movement of your physical control. I find that adding curvature enables me to have a higher degree of fine control towards the beginning of the range of motion of whatever control I’m using,
A classic video should come with the download of DCS.😎🇨🇦
very helpful mate !
Glad it helped
Excellent thank you.
Saturation Y is also useful for zoom. I find that 100% zoom in DCS is too much--I never want to zoom in that much. So I set Saturation Y to limit the max zoom level to something I find useful (I think I have it set in the 70-80 range) and that lets me hammer on my zoom axis without worrying about zooming in more than I'd like.
Thank YOU !
Thanks for the help and understanding. I am a newbie in DCS and your tutorial is really helpful. I have MSFS 2020 and also use the TPR T.Penendular rudders. I can't seem to get them to work in DCS. Have tried different settings but it seems not to work for me.. Or perhaps i'm not working for it. Do you have any suggestions you could offer?
Not sure if anyone’s gonna see this, but I’m new to dcs and have been having an issue where my hotas will partially register the input and then snap back into the middle. For example i had my hotas stick pulled all the way to the right and my planes stick was straight and continuing to fly straight unless i pull slightly let it reset then pull slightly again and let it reset to fully roll the aircraft over, any help would be grandly appreciated!
At the moment I only have the base install / caucasus / dcs world ver 2.7.2.8165.2
In my settings / controls screen, there are no 'buttons' at the bottom
(modifiers / add / clear default / axis assign / axis tune / fe tune / make html)
Do I need to upgrade to 2.7.3.8494 ? (my current version 2.7.2.8165.2)
Mike
This helped me some, thanks. I still can't figure out TDC. It maps as RX and RY on my X56? Plus that designator doesnt move. Any ideas? Thanks
New TPR owner here. Interesting thing happening my TPR only travels about half way and DCS registers that as full travel. meaning Ive got more room left on my rudder than what DCS will give me. Never had this issue before but basically like the last half of my rudder travel is useless right now.
Awesome!! ThX.
No problem!
interesting, the saturation Y explanation makes sense.. for me with f14 tomcat i can't fly if saturaytion Y is not like on 70 %... it reduced the insane jinky nature of the beast, for me i can't fly if i don't reduce the ability of the plane to pull, cuz i don't have such self control to push my stick lets say 70 percent when i want a HARD pull with max G's.. i would go 74% pull on the stick and the thing would go cobra and loose all speed and control.. but by limiting this i can now pull 8 G's easy and i can pull my stick max and not worry about actually max the plane can pull.. i feel like its cheating though as real plane doesn't have that option, but for the living crap i can't figure out any other way of making f14 work.
F It I like it great video both thanks
Plot twist: the one dislike was by accident
Lmao!!
@@OverkillSimulations lol but congrats on that like/dislike ratio, I've never seen one that good 🤣
