I don't know why, but your videos leave me imagining it's Voldemort playing the piano. The hand-stretches/movements at the start - especially in your Chopin vs Tchaik video yesterday - probably have something to do with it (and the impossibly brilliant piano playing).
yeah imagine an actual concert pianist in a performance doing those hand convulsions before playing - the audience might think their autistic or something.
If anyone cares I made a playlist with the best human recordings I could find of the méreaux etudes. Ofc most is just computer but there is a good amount of human recordings
I knew the 6th caprice but didnt know what liszt did with it the bass lines (the left hand) he put made it full, i was listening to it on my way to a party one summer night and i remember hearing it flr the first time and it hit me so powerful i started crying like a little girl with chills down my spine..my friends tought i was having a mental breakdown because i never cried before..this is some seriously underrated aranging skills from liszt a simple bass line that made the melody ten times stronger and made the etude genius..
kassia did many pieces, but obviously she has to do some big numbers to grow, and those pieces are more famous than this one. But she's very good too, don't judge her.
Kind of new to the piano world. I've never heard this piece before and, even though I can't say whether or not this is a good interpretation because I'm no expert, I can definitely say you just made my day by making me discover this piece. I had a great time hearing this, thank you!
Best paganini etude! Lots of emotion and very original with all the tremolo's. I love playing (trying to play) this piece and cant stop listening to Traums version!

Congratulations on you 10k subscriptions. Well deserved! I only wished it had happened much sooner, but now, I am hoping things will accelerate for you. Playing pieces like this one should help. But it is not just the repertoire, it is mostly how well you perform that repertoire, and I have to say you keep impressing me. You seem to be able to play everything well, from flashy Liszt or Chopin etudes, to more introspective pieces by Schubert, for instance. Only a very accomplished pianist can do this, which you obviously are. Congratulations again!
